There is backstage heat on both John Morrison and Melina, reports Pro Wrestling Torch. It centers around the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII, which saw Morrison repeatedly brush partner Trish Stratus off.

During their post-match celebration, Stratus hugged Snooki and went to hug Morrison, but he had already turned his back on her. Morrison then led Snooki to the corner of the ring and used the Jersey Shore star as a shield, to guard himself from Stratus.

The backstory behind Morrison's awkward body language is that either he or Melina, his girlfriend, felt Stratus took her spot in the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII. The backstage belief is that he either holds Stratus in contempt for taking Melina's spot on the card, or had to portray himself as such so that she would believe he was rude to her.

Behind the scenes, Morrison rejected various ideas Stratus had for their match at WrestleMania XXVII, and was said to be very difficult to work with. His outright refusal to comply with any of her suggestions reportedly hurt her feelings. Word quickly spread amongst the locker room, garnering heat.

Many feel Morrison's unprofessional behavior will set back his standing in WWE since Stratus is highly regarded amongst company personnel.

While Morrison is considered a nice guy, he's not greatly respected amongst his peers. This dates back several years due to his real-life relationship with Melina. Particularly, he lost a lot of respect for allowing Melina to engage in a sexual relationship with former WWE talent Dave Bautista (a/k/a Batista) while the two were dating. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made no qualms of being intimately involved with Melina in his 2007 autobiography, Batista Unleashed. He wrote:

"My wife thought I was sleeping with Melina right off the bat, while we were still married. It wasn't true, but it did make me feel guilty about being friends with her.

"Since then, as I've said, Melina and I have gotten closer and our relationship has become physical. That's caused a bit of controversy, but I don't give a shit. She's my friend, and I love her very much."

Former WWE stars Paul London and Brian Kendrick alleged numerous behind the scenes stories involving Melina and Morrison in their 2010 "shoot" interview, Brian Kendrick & Paul London's Excellent Adventure. London stated that Morrison is 'spineless' because he repeatedly permitted Melina to engage in sexual activity with outside partners while the two were dating. He added that Morrison would accompany Melina on dates with her partner of choice. Kendrick also claimed that he himself had been intimate with Melina.

To be fair, they could have involved Trish in a different way (announcer, referee, trainer/manager, commentator) and included another Diva in the match itself (be it Melina or anyone else.) I have a feeling if this were an all-male match and two of three spots on one side were taken by a reality show actor and someone who retired several years ago, there would have been more than a bit of a stink about it.

But the fact is that the Divas don't matter and 99% of them are replaceable, Melina included.

We're all of course accepting this under the notion that the WWE had actually planned something like a piss break six-person match well in-advance.

Well Morrison would be a very effective heel with Melina in his corner, that aside if he keeps this up as well as not living up to his HBK shadow people have cast over him, I could see him peacing out before the end of the year. If you go way back to the begining there is a Tough Enough audition with Morrison where he just flip flops and JR asks him to do a spinaroonie and he's like "A what"? Cut to Kevin Dunn "I don't like him".

Morrison should go to his inner young HBK, take on an unnactractive female valet and use her as his mouthpiece and to get heat in the ring like shawn did with sherri. That and what would really get him over is holding back in his matches, not using his moves saying the fans dont deserve his great parcore or whatever it is. he worked better as a heel

Truth be told, Morrison just isn't 'one of the guys' backstage and that tends to rub people the wrong way. It's stupid but I tend to think that's one of the things that's hamstrung his career. That and his inability to cut tremendous promos.

What a lot of people tend to forget, though, is that these people get into the business simply because they love it, not necessarily to be the top dog. If that means sacrificing normal lives for the chance, they'll do it. Here, Morrison is essentially getting to have his cake and eat it, too. He's still useful enough to the WWE's upper mid-card and he gets to have his girlfriend along for the ride. Don't get me wrong, he should be making some sort of strides to ensure his tenure gets extended but if he can still be viewed as an asset for the remainder of his career, it's all the better for Morrison.

Wasn't Kelly Kelly suppose to be in the match before she got knocked? Melina would have been shit out of luck either way. Kelly Kelly was actually involved in a storyline with Dolph/Vickie, has been on t.v, and Melina has not.

I doubt he's going to be on any short list to get released but it could be possible of him quitting if Melina was fired/cut similar to Lawler years ago doing the same when his girlfriend The Cat was let go. Of course Lawler later realized he made a mistake and went back to the WWE.

Reality is Trish is bigger now, post career, than Melina will ever be. If Morrison is going to take offense that his less than popular Diva girlfriend is not booked in a storyline in where she didn't fit than whatever punishment comes down on him is deserved.

He's not happy? Fine. But you don't act unprofessional when your boss HANDS you a spot on the card that is guarenteed to garner media attention, thus giving you a chance to be seen and recognized in mainstream media outlets.

Melina hasn't done anything note worthy ever. Granted, the Divas division isn't what it used be when Trish had pros like Molly Holly, Victoria, Mickey James, Jazz and Lita to work with. But it wouldn't make a difference regardless. Melina has been given the match time to show what she's got, and while not terrible, she does not posses the "it" factor that Trish had from day one. A factor, mind you, WWE has yet to replace.

And again, Vince and co. went with the right move in getting the bigger name to draw. I don't see what Morrison's problem here is.

Melina has a point though. I mean after Trish, Kelly Kelly, Eve, Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes, Kaitlyn, Gail Kim, Sunny & Maryse she was the obvious choice to be in that match.

Regarding the validity of the story, former WWE talent Sean Waltman (a/k/a X-Pac), who was on hand for the WrestleMania festivities in Atlanta, wrote yesterday on Twitter that a participant of the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match did not behave in a professional manner. He wrote to Stratus, "It was wonderful seeing you this weekend. You are a true professional, unlike someone else in your match and I don't mean Snookie."

He then added that he was very surprised and disappointed by the person's unprofessionalism.

According to a friend of Melina's, the Raw Diva is legitimately upset with Stratus. Melina has privately said that her source of contention with Stratus is not because she herself was snubbed from WrestleMania due to her, but because many of the Divas were. She's upset that many of them were snubbed from the grand event when they're on the road throughout the year, unlike her. Melina also said that she's not the only girl upset with Stratus for "taking their spot."

Meanwhile, Melina wrote a message on Twitter Tuesday defending her Diva peers, and that she will fight for them.

"I was eliminated from TE...Look how far I've come. I'm not the best but God knows I try my best! Thru all the h8 I'm still standing strong!"

"I don't care what ANY1 says, WWE Divas CAN wrestle. We prove it when we get time. I believe in them. I will fight 4 them until U see what I C."

"Thank you everyone. We have a strong group of women in the WWE. A roster that I'm proud to & be a part of."

Morrison had to be pretty unprofessional if Sean Waltman took offense to it.

Waltman is just kissing ass so maybe, just maybe he can get his skinny, no talented ass into the WWE hall of fame.

So, whoever has Melina in the pink slip pool should be ready to cross off a name.

Nah I don't think so. Waltman might have been a pain in the ass, but is still pretty cool among talent he used to work with, so I don't think he's kissing ass.

Honestly, Melina can piss the fuck off. You know who she should mad at about not getting a spot on Mania's card? Vincent Kennedy McMahon. You know, the guy who owns the company and makes the decisions.

If she has a gripe about being left out or underappreciated, go about it the way every other professional does; talk to your boss about it. I'm sure Trish didn't have to be on the card for this match to work, but fact of the matter is that Vince and co. felt she was a better name and a better fit for the match. If Melina has a problem with that deicision, she needs ton confront it, not piss and moan and undermine her boyfriend.

Unlike the Divas, male superstars have something more than a lone singles title to work for. Morrison has main evented back to back Elimination Chambers, and had a very good Raw title match. He is literally on the brink. By trying to please his jealous girlfriend, he is undermining everything he has busted his ass for since winning Tough Enough. It would be a damn shame to see him piss it all away, just because his lousy, one trick pony girlfriend didn't get included on a card where no Divas were included.

Melina's not even hot. Morrison is good-looking, he could probably do quite better than Melina. So she either must have some feature that satisfies a fixation of Morrison's, or he just doesn't give a shit and it's convenient. To say that he's spineless might be a bit of an assumption, I would lean more along the lines of crazy.

As far an opinion on what Melina actually said, you can hardly blame Trish for being one of (#1 if you ask me) the best divas to this day. That match was a bunch of crap, but I would actually watch a Trish match. Not just because she was hot, but because I liked her, and sometimes she impressed me in the ring.

You often hear reports about Melina causing problems backstage. She seems like a) a raging slut, and b) like she's going to ruin her boyfriend's fucking career. But if Morrison wants to fuck up what is the biggest push of his life because he wants to keep his self-centred girlfriend happy, then I have no sympathy for him. I can actually see Melina getting released. She's a very talented woman, and she'd help the Divas division if she pulled her head from her ass (and that flexibility is probably why Morrison is with her), but I never would have thought that the WWE would release Mickie James, either. But they did.

Morrison's punishment will hopefully be something on-air -- like being told he's going to make out with Trish. It helps his character gain more steam, but is a giant rib towards him, as well.

Joking aside, all of this comes on the heels of what we think happened and heresay. "Confirmed reports" usually come from people who have nothing better to do thatn eavesdrop and gossip. Maybe Nitro was pissed Trish ate the last of the Spinach Dip from the catering table. Maybe Trish farted. Maybe Melina can't keep her pants on, and John Boy knew that before hand and they were in a relationship for other things besides sex. Hell, for all we know, he could have pimped her out. And honestly, what does her going on a Mike Knox moustache ride have to do with Morrison and Trish to begin with, aside from alegedly taking the often injured Melina's spot? Hell, haven't seen her in awhile again, I thought she was back on IR.
