So much for his quest to stay sober apparently. Part of me feels sorry for him and part of me thinks, "Come on man! How many chances do you need? Get your fucking shit together!"

I want details first before we go another round of "Scott Hall and the Bashing Stick."

This was probably brought on by the fact that he missed the Wrestlemania celebrations.

Too many will bash Scott Hall for this as if it's just simple decision to remain sober. If it was so easy, drug and alcohol abuse wouldn't be such a big problem in the world.

I will always root for him. I think at some point, somebody close to him will have to realize he just doesn't have it in him to pull it together. That's not a bad thing, and not a knock on Hall. Some people just need more help than others. Somebody in Hall's life needs to step in, and get this thing going in a legal direciton.

Isn't there a way to have Hall delegated to some sort of parental figure, ala Britney Spears some years ago? I don't know the legal terms of it, but it would basically be a guardian who help makes decision and guides you, rather than letting you do it for yourself, when you have proven you are not capable of such.

It's called a conservatorship. I actually think this would be a great idea for him if he truly wants to get clean and just can't seem to do it on his own. The only problem is they're usually difficult to obtain and often are for short periods of time.

I'm sure he wants to get clean. I mean, why else would he keep trying. I think he's at the point in his life where someone else needs to step in for him. I don't think Hall would make the decision for himself. It has to made for him. I know he has kids, and the real loss will be them losing their father if nobody does something about Hall's demons.

I have to say that back when I was a kid, and had no inclination whatsoever that wrestling was scripted, Razor Ramon always captivated me as a complete 100% bad guy. I dreaded his appearances, I cheered when he lost, he seemed like such a bully. He was in short company of the heels I bought into as being a tough guy that would push everyone else around.

Today, I give a shit less, and it makes me feel regret when I see something like this. About 20 years ago, he was the bad guy, and I was a kid, watching, marking out when "The Kid" beat him with a moonsault. Now, the world isn't so black and white for me, and apparently it's a big haze for Scott Hall. That is rather sad.

And wrestlers (especially habitual drug users) would never lie, so it must be true.

I wonder if Shawn is trying anything to help? Shawn got over his addictions and if anything he's the one person that has what it takes to help Scott Hall

I think the differences between Hardy and Hall are as follows.

1. Hardy is arguably in his prime, and utterly fucking it up. Basically, he has an opportunity a lot of guys would kill for, and he's blowing it. Hall on the other hand is past his prime. No one likes to see their former favorites broken down, and this is 10 times worse.

2. Hardy is a douche. IMO at least. Dunno, something about him just rubs me the wrong way.

3. Hardy's behavior made a lot of people in TNA look bad. Hall is just hurting himself

Scott has lost his way, if I was Kevin Nash the first thing I would show him is how much of a zombie he looked on those videos recently at the wrestling event he stumbled into and how he needs to shape up or die.

I respect Scott as a man but it's almost like he has lost the will to live and if he's not careful he won't know what hit him. He is a walking heart attack and it won't take much more to kill him in my opinion the sad thing is I am not sure if he cares or not.

I just hope he can get out of the tunnel and get himself well again. I respect him as a performer and think he is massively underrated. I still think he could have a future in the business as a manager or a commentator if he just gets himself together.

No he's not because I agree with him. If that makes me an ignorant fuck too then so be it but my mother died of cancer she didn't have a choice. Scott Hall has a choice therefore it is not a disease it's his choice because he has weak moments but he still has a choice and he knows that deep down he probably just says 'fuck it' and has a drink. If he went to a tropical island or somewhere secluded without a bar in sight and some balls he could kick his habit going cold turkey. Any alcoholic that says they can't is lying. I know people who have got themselves off drugs, drink, cigarettes and all by going cold turkey. yes it hurts like hell, no doubt it is hell but sometimes you have to get through hell to get to heaven and sometimes therapy isn't the answer sometimes you have to use tried and tested techniques the mind is a powerful fucking thing. I didn't need councilling or medication when I lost my mother all I needed was time to mourn and pull myself together you can do that with anything. Again the right attitude can do wonders but of course people believe these days they need medication for this, that and the other depressions the latest one don't even get me started on depression jesus.

You can take or leave a drink. All it boils down to is people losing the will to live they cross the line and they don't care whether they choke on vomit or not in their sleep again they get to the 'fuck it' point and all hope of them getting through the turmoil and beating the addiction has gone again. It's sad when people get like that but it's just them being weak and feeling sorry for themselves they are lost in a world of self pity.

Drinking is a habit that can be kicked by anyone with the right attitude and willpower and anyone that says otherwise is a low down drunk with a weak mindset. I know many people who drank themselves to death too no it doesn't hurt them but what about the family they leave behind? That's the act of a coward in my opinion.

Sorry but that's my opinion you can clean up your act if you WANT to but sadly not many people REALLY want to. It just takes balls and mental strength to go through the hell of giving up the addiction or go through mourning as I have said. Hell if Eminem can kick an addiction anyone can he was one of the biggest pill poppers on the planet for a couple of years.

I just hope it's not too late for Scott. Maybe he's missing being one of the boys too much, maybe deep down it's really getting to him not having wrestling in his life anymore.

Whilst I agree with everything you say on the subject of alcoholism (you were agreeing with me after all) it just seems those posts contradict each other.

I like a drink. When I was younger I probably drank enough to be considered an "alcoholic" but at no point did I become addicted, at no point did I or do I need a drink.

At some point Hall needs to realise he can't keep doing this shit. If this was Average Joe in the street (literally in some cases) nobody would give a damn. But they do because Scott Hall used to be somebody in wrestling. Worse still, he could have been so much more...but you don't put your World Title on an addict (unless you're TNA).

It's weird, I was smoking mad chronic everyday (spending $40 a day) and if it wasn't around, I couldn't do anything. I'd have no desire to do anything. I would say I was dependant on it. I would sleep in until 3pm, feel all depressed and end up scoring a sac later in the evening to feel better, to get in the mood. Rinse and repeat

But then I went to go see my dad for his wedding so I was away from it.

I came back from the trip and had no desire to smoke anymore. I even found some leftovers from a secret stash I kept in a box. But the desire to smoke was gone for some reason.

As for alcohol, I would always crack open a beer as soon as I left the liquor store parking lot. I couldn't wait til' I got home to start drinking. Nowadays, I have no desire to drink anymore. This new liquor store just opened near my place. I have yet to check it out.

Don't get me started on opiates though. Totally different ball game.
