I'm actually pretty excited for this card. Mitrione v. Morecraft should be a slug-fest. I really want to see Doomsday get back in the win column. Barry v. Kongo should be an awesome striking match and Cheik's always good for some hideous groin kicks. The main event is actually the only fight I'm apathetic about on this card.

Also I was under the impression that Story was pretty big for a WW, but Marquart is huge next to him.

Nate filled his physical.

I checked websites and google, and didnt see anything, sir.

And now its there, but really I did a thorough check and didn't see anything.

I'm guessing it's some sort of illness or something biological, I can't see it him actually failing a physical for an actual physical reason less than two days from fight time. Maybe something was found in a bloodtest or something, seems a little odd though.

Now appearently Marquart has been cut from the ufc.

Maybe he failed a drug test. I don't see Dana firing him due to an illness or something biological.

Cracks me up. I noticed spike was doing like 10 hours of Nate Marquardt matches or something ridiculous like that. I was like " really? ".

Missing weight and fucking up the main event could be the reason for Dana to throw an irrational bitch fit and cut him. I remember when Fitch got released because he didn't want to give up his image for the UFC game and was back the next day.

Dana would blast Nate, kinda like how he regularly shits on T. alves, when he misses weight. Or, how he rides rumble Johnson. I'm not sure it's a viral issue, but I don't think it's as simple as him missing weight. If I had to assume, I'd think it was some type of disease. If it was PEDS then Dana would parade his head around on a stake

Thing is, if the guy got some type of disease I still don't see Dana going on a tirade like that. Plus wouldn't it violate some kind of doctor/patient confidentiality to hint at or even reveal a disease whereas PED failure gets put out all the time. Maybe Nate was grossly overweight and bloated. Half man half Roy Nelson.

Either way I'm still pumped for the card. Hell, feeling even better about it since I won't have 3 rounds of Nate Marquardt winning via decision. Pre show should be interesting, although I can't stand Ariel Helwani.

He wasn't bloated. I saw a pic of him taken a few days ago. His legs were extremly skinny. And Dana didn't go on a tirade.

Yeah, have you seen Marquart, the guy is lean as fuck, that's why people questioned him being able to make the 170 weight limit.

Nate Marquart was really the only reason I had to watch the card, now the ME is meaningless as it gets Story no closer to the top of the division. I half wanted to see the Barry/Kongo fight.

Based on what the PSAC commissioner said it seems like Nate waited till the last minute to get some medical forms in and missed the deadline. I can see why Dana would be pissed about that.

Not bad timing if you think about it. Nick vacates the 170 pound belt in SF and Paul Daley's going to need an opponent after he knocks Tyron Woodley's head off. Daley v. Marquardt might be on the horizon.

Glad Mitrione & Olivera won, Lentz is boring as fuck.

That's right! I forgot Marquardt is represented by Lex McMahon (Ed McMahon's son) and MC Hammer. One guy's dad was a bankrupt game show host and the other guy is a former rapper who went bankrupt. Good choice for agents.

That was a great fucking finish. Brutal uppercut. But the hook that wobbled him looked pretty weak.

Loved the night of fights. Glad Charlie won in an upset and that main event ending was insane.

That finish was AMAZING!

Very entertaining card...both the undercard and the main card...and the main event. Props to Miragliotta for not stopping the fight...he was close there on the first knockdown...there was even some slight contact but you could hear him tell the fighters to continue and Pat wasn't really affected by the near stoppage.

Holy crap what a finish to the Kongo fight.

And Matt... man the way he landed those 3 punches then just walked off... dang. That was something.

It seems like Nate was taking testosterone replacement therapy and didn't cycle off of it quick enough for his levels to get within an eligible range. He claims he had a legit doctor's script and everything.

I'm tempted to side with Nate, but Dana's reaction makes it seem to me like the UFC was in the dark about this and you'd think after the Chael Sonnen fallout, guys would divulge this info to them.

Appearently Dan Henderson recieves TRT as well as Randy Couture and Matt Hughes have in the past. I'm guessing it's rather common in MMA, atleast from the sounds of it.
