Heyman and Lesnar in talks with WWE?
From PWInsider:
We have received a lot of email about a story making the rounds concerning a rumored WWE return for Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. I have not seen the original story, only recapped versions that were emailed to me, so I can't comment on what the original author wrote. Mike Johnson and I discussed the situation, with what is true and what isn't, on We Don't Need No Stinkin' Name Show today, which available exclusively to our Elite subscribers. A few minutes ago, Luke Williamson sent the following tweet from MMA reporter Ariel Helwani. It should be noted that he mentioned the original author of the story but since I have not seen that reporter's version I am deleting his name from what Helwani wrote. Here is his tweet. "******* report on Heyman/Brock going 2 WWE, according 2 sources, is somewhat inaccurate. What is being discussed is a consumer product deal." We have heard the same thing as Helwani. In essence, there is a project that both Heyman/Lesnar and WWE would be a party to. For the rest of the story, you can listen to the show we did today or check out tomorrow's edition of The Wrap Up |
Sounds like a Lesnar DVD.
Yup it sure does. So is that the thread over?
Yeah. Probably a DVD. Way to make the thread title get my hopes up though.
Xero making a risky move during the finals of the KotWF
Not a chance in hell..... no way Dana lets this happen.....
No way Dana lets Brock wrestle for WWE for a few years in the early 2000's so they have enough Footage to make a DVD?
I would suggest there is more than enough to make a very good Lesnar DVD and could certainly see it being a good way for the two parties to build bridges. Almost like the first step to something else. Sort of in the way I viewed Bret's DVD.
Yeah he had a DVD release, but it was EONS ago. Not hard to recall the Here Comes The Pain! subtitle either, especially since it's the subtitle of one of the best SD! games to date.
Man, I just started thinking about a Punk/Lesnar/Heyman stable on Raw and I shit myself with delight. Now, I have thread reader's remorse.
It would be cool if they did release either a Lesnar or Heyman dvd. That wouldn't surprize me since CM Punk mentioned them Monday. Smart on the WWE's part if there's any truth to it. I have to admit I was disappointed when I read they would only have a "business" relationship with WWE. Not having either as on scteen characters or wrestler in Brock's case sucks completely.
I wonder what matches would be on a Paul Heyman DVD.
Heard it might only be a Lesnar DVD covering the time he had Heyman as manager but if it is indeed 2 separate DVDs, the Heyman one would sound great.
It could end up being something similar to what Heyman did on Rise & Fall of ECW but more in depth on his tenure in WCW and WWE. He already went in depth on the work he did both on screen and backstage while in ECW so it would be great if he did something similar for his WCW and WWE runs. |
I'm a Heyman guy. HE should come back. Lesnar is alright but MMA is fake.
can't be real
ahhh see, with 'MMA is fake', you went with the 'ridiculous comment' too early. You have to work your way up to these things, really draw people in before dropping La Ridique on them :-\
its scripted just like the pro wrestling is. My friends brother is all into it but i told him its fake so he stopped watching.

I loved the Eric Bishoff DVD
They will probably promote his book and make a DVD, don't get your hopes up for more.
Yeah, it'll probably be a DVD and perhaps some sort of cross-promotion deal. Lesnar won't actively wrestle. Although, Lesnar being punked out by someone could lead to a great moment. I mean, imagine if even someone like Zack Ryder "knew Lesnar can't touch anybody," and had the balls to offend him as Heyman held Lesnar back. Then Heyman mouths off to Ryder and gets a slap across the face for his trouble.
Just a random example. |

It's unlikely, but there's always a chance it's some kind of likeness issue. Maybe they want to release a Brock Lesnar action figure or include him as a legend on WWE 12. It's unlikely with Brock being in UFC, but stranger things have happened.
Of course, with the news sites always blowing things way out of proportion, 'Heyman and Lesnar in talks with WWE' could just be Heyman and Lesnar stopping by the WWE HQ for a coffee and a catch-up. :p
Haha could be just that alright :)
Never watched TNA but my word Daffney is mingin |

It would benefit the WWE greatly to use Paul Heyman in a meaningful role.
Paul Heyman. . . PG TV. . .hmmm that might not work
Yes because raunchy storylines was the only reason Heyman's booking worked.
who said that?
Paul Heyman is a genius and im not doubting that but his character needs to be himself and PG wont allow that. Not saying it wont work for sure but id like him to express himself as only he can
Heyman doesn't need to say "fuck" to get over.
I honestly fail to see your argument against his character not working in a PG environment. Like, other than a few innuendos and swear words, how does his character not work? He's a manager. He manages people. Look at the Lesnar/Heyman run and tell me what wasn't PG there in terms of what Heyman said/did. |

Heyman could definitely work in a PG environment. The guy doesn't need to swear to get over. When he's allowed to, he'd probably swear like a sailor stuck in a chimney, but he doesn't need that. Heyman, above all, just knows how to accentuate strengths. His booking in OVW made it a better product than the WWE for a while. Two feuds stand out to be in that regard: The CM Punk vs. Brent Albright vs. Ken Doane feud over the OVW TV Title. One of the best three-way storylines I can ever remember. Basically, I remember CM Punk tapping out so suddenly to Albright's Crowbar one week, and then explaining "Yeah, I tapped out to you, Brent. I love my arm, and I don't want you to have it." The other stand-out was Johnny Jeter vs. Matt Cappotelli (make sure you read the backstory):
<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sACYGTy9T6A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/iUqzPICs_uo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The culmination of the feud, I believe, was a 2/3 Falls Match for the OVW Heavyweight Championship between Johnny Jeter and Matt Cappotelli. Then Jeter cut his hair and joined The Spirit Squad... |

no idea what a sailor would be doin in a chimney either but your probly right that he'd be cursing something fierce

Wow, awesome comeback:rofl: You know what they saying about assuming asshole? All wrestling DVD's don't have wrestling matches. You must not remember the Vince McMahon or Eric Bischoff dvd's WWE released years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither of those dvd's had WRESTLING MATCHES. So, your assumption is faulty at best. If a WWE personality is popular enough, WWE will release it to make a profit off of it. Heyman definately fits that mold, so the idea of a Heyman DVD isn't that farfetched... |
Assuming Asshole sounds like a really bad cartoon.
And correct me if I'm wrong but an Eric Bischoff DVD doesn't exist and Vince McMahon's DVD had like 9 WRESTLING MATCHES. What was it you were saying about assuming again? |
I think you missed your calling pal. Assuming Asshole a carton? Wow, you should've been a creative writing major.
As far as the Bischoff DVD, I'm pretty sure they did release one a number of years ago.(Which I believe was the Monday Night Wars DVD). The McMahon dvd did have wrestling matches, but my point on that was no one bought that DVD for the matches(I never bought it period). If you did, I wanna know why you consider that a wrestling classic. And surely a Heyman dvd wouldn't be any worse than that. I for one would like to see it. And me assuming? Again another witty remark, I was using past dvd's that were non wrestling based and more character based to illistrate a point. You on the other hand, were being a smartass for no general reason. Who's the one assuming? Draw your own conclusions... |

Well, you can't have one without the other:D This is a internet wrestling forum. How would we survive without cocks or assholes??? Boggles the mind:wtf: |
I'm calling this as Lesnar and Heyman having their likenesses inserted into a future video game, possibly even WWE 12 or whatever it is called this year. They could easily be added to the legends section, but I imagine Heyman as some kind of secret manager or something. Just a thought, anyways.
