Michael Tarver: Cena Intentionally Broke My Arm

From his Twitter (@TyroneEvansB20):

Translated by Cool King.

Quote:

“Family, I'm a bad man. The Lord is my banner. So, stop me if you heard this one for starters, I went from sleeping in a car to being on 2 WrestleManias. Fun fact there. So this guy has a dream job but in advance, he meets his dream girl. As soon as he's on his dream job, he was to be away from his kids, so he makes it work while spending 3 years trying to get his daughter to Tampa to live with him, away from her addict mother.

“Now during this dream job, he fights, trains, shows crazy potential on the mic, regarded as one the best ever in development so he moves on to NXT and Raw where he is buried on TV and treated like trash backstage to the point where a certain top Superstar takes notice of this guy building steam with his promos backstage and begins to feel threatend. So one night on a PPV, the champ purposely fractures this persons arm with a chair and after the match backstage, laughs in his face about it and walks off. You know who I'm talking about, you just cant see him. Anyway, he takes out threats to his throne backstage, to the point where they even get released from their dream job and ironicaly, this guys dream wife leaves him, threatening to take everything from him. A month later on the same day his daughter was to move in with them. Now his daughter is hysterical beyond help and has to be sent back home after three years of fighting and one week here.

“Hmmmmm makes you wonder is it worth it, because in your opinion WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO IS BAD ENOUGH TO SCARE A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY? So who is all the things I've just mentioned? ME........I'M THAT BAD MAN...........The Lord is my banner!”
Thoughts? Do you buy the story? Typical bitterness after release?

UPDATE - His response to critics (copied from page 2):

Quote:

The Lord is my banner! im going to clear the air in case you were under a rock or making love to yourself to redtube and missed the entire convo I had with fans yesterday.

I never said john cena "broke my arm on purpose" I did say he carelessly swung a chair at my head and I had to put my arm up and it fractured my arm and he knew I was hurt backstage because when I went to shake his hand he laughed and walked past me and then stopped and said "hows the arm" and laughed and walked away.

That's what actually happened as far as spelling no excuses.

Im dumb SIKE please im typing from a tablet and the words guessing function is a headache but useful when I do forget how to spell words like MARK or NERD LOL or even ADULT john cena fan who sits next to the 9 year old girls at tv tapings and screams louder.

But to be real and fair NO ONE draws like john cena, NO ONE. And I know from first hand experience and from that experience I learned a lot from john cena. But I don't care if you believe me or not I FEAR NO MAN OR HIS OPINIONS but I do appreciate your comments and opinions and feel free.

“That night, David Otunga and I knew that we were taking chair shots and we knew when we were taking them, something of that magnitude can be dangerous and we were prepared for it. I had my reservations about it because on an independent show in 2005, a guy I was working with hurt me pretty bad with a chair, hitting me in the back of the head and necking leading to me being temporally unconscious and paralyzed for 45 minutes so I had reservations about taking chair shots. (During the segment), I look over and see David Otunga taking his shot and it sounded like it was a lot harder than it show have been so as I prepared for mine, I felt it and it felt like he was trying to swing for a home run so I dropped out and I wasn’t selling it because I was legit hurt. As I’m laying there, I see David Otunga taking multiple chair shots, more than the one that we were told we were taking so when I saw that I decided to get out of there because I was thinking about what happened in 2005 and when I get up, I see part of a chair swinging towards me and I put my left arm up to protect myself.

“Now before I continue, when you are in a situation like that in pro wrestling/sports entertainment and you know there is something that dangerous planned, there is no reason for you to have to protect yourself in that way from being legitimate hurt. There is a reason to protect yourself in a match to get that part over but to protect yourself like if you were getting shot at is something different. I’m not trying to say Cena was trying to maliciously hurt me, I’m just saying he wasn’t being very careful. So when he swung the chair, and I put my arm up to project myself, the point of the chair caught my left arm and immediately felt bones crack and knew something was seriously wrong so I ran because I wasn’t going to take another shot as I knew I couldn’t protect myself.

“I get backstage and its customary being a rookie, being as it is entertainment and we work together, for you to shake hands and thank the person, especially someone like John Cena, to shake his hand and thank him for that experience because he didn’t have to work with me or any of us for that matter. I’m in the back and I’m kicking all the trash cans and I’m angry and I’m trying not to yell because I didn’t want to lose my job. As he came back, I put my hand out and said “Thank You” and he just looked at me and walked past and of course I was even more angry. He made it about five more steps, looked over his shoulder, laughed and said “How’s the arm?” and I said “It’s fine” and he laughed again and walked off.”

el bobbo 07-28-2011 12:12 AM

I can't understand a damn thing he wrote.

Next Big Thing 07-28-2011 12:12 AM

It seems like he was on drugs or something when he wrote all that. I'm sure we'll be hearing about how his Twitter was hacked or something once he sobers up/comes down.

el bobbo 07-28-2011 12:14 AM

What PPV was this? TLC?

Next Big Thing 07-28-2011 12:16 AM

And the fact that he thinks Cena felt threatened by the fifth most talented guy in Nexus is laughable.

Skippord 07-28-2011 12:16 AM

call me crazy, but I believe him

Aguakate 07-28-2011 12:17 AM

LOL Cena felt threatened by Tarver's "steam"...

...shut up.

captaincharismark 07-28-2011 12:40 AM

Tarver's only mad WWE buried him and is lashing out b/c he wasn't successful. Him even claiming Cena was threatened by his promos is laughable. I never saw anything special in him, so as far as I'm concerned Cena did us a favor. I highly doubt Cena would intentionally break his arm to save his career. Cena sure didn't have to worry about his spot over a no talented guy like Tarver...

Aguakate 07-28-2011 12:42 AM

LOL, if Cena felt "threatened" by Tarver and broke his arm, I can only wonder what he'll do to Punk...

Razzamajazz 07-28-2011 12:43 AM

so was he released or something?

Stealth-Icon 07-28-2011 12:50 AM

Maybe if Tarver could write a something that could be understood I would care. I don't miss him and hope that he never returns to TV.

Cause Cena clearly breaks everyone's arm who tries to take his spot. Plz, more like Tarver being green caused the injury. He's delusional if he thinks there was a conspiracy to keep him out of the main event.

owenbrown 07-28-2011 12:51 AM

I must have missed the part where he was released

Shisen Kopf 07-28-2011 12:53 AM

I heard that when John Cena visits all those make a wish kids he ends the night by breaking their arms. What a prick!

Michael Tarver is better than all of your favorite wrestlers

CSL 07-28-2011 01:29 AM

Combined

CSL 07-28-2011 01:29 AM

Then multiplied by 3 Kurt Angle's

Cena prolly gonna be Assassinated soon.

My attempt to put it in English.

Cool King 07-28-2011 05:08 AM

Looks like he typed it all up when he was drunk/high.

Sounds like his girlfriend left him and is now threatening to take all his stuff and he's not able to have his daughter live with him because of it.

So he probably got drunk/high one night, typed that up and is blaming John Cena for all his problems.

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2011 05:44 AM

He's trying to create internet controversy to get hired back and get thrown into an "art imitating life" storyline with John Cena. Worked for Matt Hardy with Edge and Lita. Rock and Cena had an internet feud that has now become one of the most hyped matches of all time. Punk started speaking his mind and being controversial and got a new contract and the biggest push of his life.

Unfortunately, Michael Tarver is no Rock, no Cena and no CM Punk. He is also no Matt Hardy. It's hilarious to think that he thinks it might work though.

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2011 05:47 AM

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HGbVOWU9Jik" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's like this Mr. Show sketch. Bob Odenkirk is Vince McMahon. David Cross is Michael Tarver. The other three guys are three random wrestlers that Vince actually gives a shit about.

Skippord 07-28-2011 06:23 AM

Michael Tarver makes the Rock look like Harvey Whippleman

JimmyMess 07-28-2011 06:44 AM

I had to stop reading that.

It reads like a handicap person or an 8 year old wrote it.

Haze 07-28-2011 07:17 AM

If Tarver is looking into other career options, writing should not be one of them.

Tom Guycott 07-28-2011 07:31 AM

Tarver went about this all wrong.

If he felt Cena intentionally broke his arm, he should have thrown a tempertantrum in the ring and called him "STUPID!" Had he done that, he'd still have a job today. :shifty:

#BROKEN Hasney 07-28-2011 08:09 AM

Cena was scared of Tarver, but is fine with Punk. It's because Cena wants to be the blackest main eventer there is.

Saddled him with a crazy gimmick that never gets over in the main event.

Skippord 07-28-2011 08:37 AM

if Tarver had Truth's gimmick he would have unified every title and been the main focus of Raw, Smackdown, Superstars, iMPACT Wrestling, ROH, The Very Best Of Monday Nitro DVD boxset, and The Dark Knight Rises

kareru 07-28-2011 10:01 AM

when did tarder ever cut a promo?
all i remember him doing was just standing around with a bandana on his face.

also as much as we hate cena as a character iv'e heard nothing but good things about him from wrestlers about what a nice guy he is, i doubt he intentionally broke anything of anyone

Kane Knight 07-28-2011 10:46 AM

Well, it seems hard to believe that Cena's going to intentionally injure someone, but Tarver's saying something bad about Cena so I'm going to believe it.

Storer50 07-28-2011 02:45 PM

Tarver is just scared to admit it was little Jimmy who broke his arm.

Battlekat 07-28-2011 03:11 PM

Just another guy crying sour grapes basically. The fact that he believes he is worth sabotaging is laughable. Like someone else said, all he did was stand in the background with a bandana over his face.

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2011 03:22 PM

The bandanna had a "T" on it, though. I'm assuming it was short for "The Next John Cena", which could definitely make Cena jealous.

Yeah seriously what Wrestlemania's?

CSL 07-28-2011 08:00 PM

has to mean "at" 2 WrestleMania's. All of the first season NXT guys were at 26, there's footage of it knocking around. And he'd have been at this years also since like every single person under contract tends to be there. Hardly "on" though.

Kane Knight 07-28-2011 08:24 PM

When did Kane wear blackface?

CSL 07-28-2011 08:27 PM

about 2003

http://retro4.tripod.com/kanenew.jpg

Was only when he showed up on NXT as "Michael Tarver" that he managed to work out how to wrestle without smudging it.

So basically two-time Wrestlemania all-star Michael Tarver doesnt know how to protect on a chair shot, cried and blamed Cena backstage so he was mocked in return when he went for the handshake.

This is how he should be referred to from now on. Give the man the respect he deserves. A Superstar so hot, the WWE had to release him.

captaincharismark 07-29-2011 01:24 PM

He obviously became such a mega star that WWE never used him again. He goes out of his way to challenge his detractors, using God as his excuse? Tarver's lame attempt to blame ppl for not seeing his "talent" is laughable. About as apparent as his promos that were threatening Cena to begin with.

I think Tarver missed his calling, b/c with such contradicting statements he could've been a comedian with those dumbass claims...

#BROKEN Hasney 07-29-2011 01:39 PM

I felt the most sorry for the WWE fans who were all pulling for a future Wrestlemania main event of Trent Baretta Vs. Michael Tarver.

Fox 07-29-2011 01:43 PM

This is too bad. I actually really liked Tarver. I don't know about his "amazing mic skills" that he talks about, but he had a very intimidating and cool look, and he could actually wrestle, too. I was pretty disappointed when he got let go, and now that he's gone ahead and burned the shit out of his bridge, we'll probably never see his stupid ass again.

If calling you out for repeated stupidity on numerous topics makes me a 'whiny bitch', I fail to see the correlation, but I suppose I can live with it. You should probably do some research on things before making stupid comments and backpedaling out of them immediately when you are proven wrong.

Michael Tarver definitely made a pretty ridiculous tweet there. Would you have posted your hilarious ebonics picture for that gibberish that Gene Snitsky was tweeting last week?

Honestly, it's fine if you want to be racist. That's your choice. Don't act like you're not being racist, though, and accept that some people may think you're foolish for it.

mhirn3 07-29-2011 06:44 PM

If you want to continue to be an asshole, go all the way with it, stop being selectively assholish.

I wasn't trying to be racist with it, I was saying that I've heard interviews with him before where he didn't bother to try and sound educated, just spoke in ebonics the whole time and came off like a jackass....kind of like he did here. I'm sorry that I prefer my entertainers and public figures speak in a clear manner and not one in which I have to try and figure out what the hell they're saying. My fucking bad dude. Carry on the hatred, you're an angry awful little person.

Yes, I probably would have. I wanted to post a dictionary but couldn't find a pic I liked so I went with that. Once again thanks for your concern.

I would like to see Michael Tarver vs Gene Snitsky in a Thunderdome Cage Match, TWO MEN ENTER ONE MAN LEAVES.

Of course the surprise is that after the battle, we thrust Matt Hardy into the arena to face the winner, then the winner of that faces an inferno.

Michael Tarver is hardly a public figure, and arguably an entertainer. You were being a doofus, and I called you on it. You don't have to get angry because you are so wrong. Either admit your mistake like a man or go on a fully racist tirade. Make up your mind.

And the fact that you used the word "ebonics" though...

Right. That was his first mistake. Then he said "it isn't racist if it's true!" like some Grand Wizard or something. He could have avoided all of this. I'm just bringing his ignorance to light, if for no one's benefit but his very own. I'd hate to see him be so foolish in public in front of real people. Arguing with me here is no harm, no foul.

Fuck off? Since when are you the messiah of shit around here? He IS a public figure as he until recently was on tv....tv = public just so ya know. Entertainer is his job, this entertainer on tv = public figure. Just to do some math for ya. It wasn't a mistake, we're all allowed to think whatever we want...if one dbag on a messageboard doesn't like me then so be it, I guess that'll be you now here if you'd like. No skin off my back.

Hahahaha so true, he really never entertained anyone.

OBVIOUSLY more acceptable than something that is, you know, race specific...
