What Dave and Vol said.

I almost voted with WM2000, cause cause the whole card was good and the Main Event was great. But WM 17 holds it down not cause of Austin/Rock, but because WWE had all their big players in good feuds that made every match hot, and every match was great. (imo)

Wrestlemania X7 is the best PPV of all time period. Super hot crowd, JR and Heyman at their absolute best, every featured bout living up to its expectations (how many times has any show been able to boast that?), and even the throwaway matches (Chyna winning the women's title, gimmick battle royal, triple threat hardcore title match) were entertaining.
Worst is probably IX. Steiners vs. Headshrinkers was pretty good but everything else was mediocre. And I'm not a Hogan hater but the ending still left a bad taste in my mouth. |
That why KotR was sweet when Yoko dropped his fat ass leg on Hogan.

Best WM 3 worst WM 9

Best: 3
Worst: 4 honorable mentions: 5 and 17 |
maybe my memory is fuzzy but i thought 14 was really bad. with the exception of hbk/austin..but even with that hbk was in really bad shape, hhh/owen was okay but nothing else stands out in that card
|
Best: WM III
Worst: WM XIX |
Best: 17. Austin/Rock, McMahon street fight, Gimmick Battle Royale, TLC 2, etc
Worst: 11, was not a very memorable card and the main event was LT... Honorable mention: the most recent one was pretty lousy considering what they had to work with. |

Odd choice from Damninator there.
Tough choice for best but gotta go with: Best: WM 17 Worst: Out of the ones i've seen, not sure, memory is not briiliant atm! |

Best: X7 Worst: IX |
Best: WM 17, but I also really like 22, 19, 14, and 21. I also like WM 24.
Worst: WM 2 and WM 11 are really the only ones I don't like. I think my favorite match at 11 besides the title match was the tag titles, but otherwise I didn't like it. WM 2 had nothing I liked on it. |

I guess but HBK/Jericho was soooooooooo good.
|
Lesnar/Angle and the triple threat tag title match weren't bad either. Certainly nowhere near the worst WM.
|
Trips and Booker went on like 4th/5th
|
I think Ralph NATOR has said previously that he started watching in the 2000s so that would mean he missed most of the train wrecks. Still don't think XIX is bad but to each their own.
|
I think 19 has possibly been better than most Manias since. The main was great, Austin's last match was great, Hogan/Vince was a riot, HBK/Jericho was truly great with the rest of the card ranging from perfectly fine (the WHC match, the tag titles) to a bit shit (the Taker match) plus the ultimate companion piece being the Mania of Mania doc.
|
Best 17
Worst 8. Surprised not more votes for this. Even the recent WWE Doc about Mania kinda crapped all over it. |
Wrestlemania 19 is arguably one of the best to me what really weighed it down was Undertaker's match if anything not Triple H/Booker even though we all probly knew what the result was gonna be.

Nah 8 has a place in my heart for Savage/Flair. Plus Bret and Piper was cash money cha ching.

Without going back and watching them all, I can't remember one that sucked more than 27. Seriously dissapointing event. One match bumped from the card and two given literally two minutes. A rather boring main-event with an awful ending. WAAAAY too much Rock, especially the opening promo. And the fact that one of the 'main events' (feature matches) was Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler.
Not flat-out saying it's the worst, but after a great 2010, it kinda left a nasty taste in my mouth. |

Nothing compares to the Savage - Steamboat match, and the iconic Hogan slamming Andre. Worst: 27 I regret spending a fucking dime on that PPV. Too much Rock in the bad way. I mean if he was going to interfere, there were way more creative ways to interfere. Plus he's not funny in this shitty PG area. He's fucking corny and gay. |

Best: Wrestlemania X7 and followed (for personal comment only) by Wrestlemania 3
Worst: Wrestlemania 9, followed by Wrestlemania 11 X7 had the best matches pound for pound of any WM ever, as well as one of the top 5 best main events ever in WWE PPV, followed of course by the legend Vinny Mac and the genius Ladder Match, and of course Benoit/Angle, the Hardcore Battle Royal and the great Triple Threat with Raven, Big Show and Kane. WM 3, what more can be said? The greatest match in WWE history and the biggest match in WWE history, and King Harley fucking Race. Worst... WM 9, not a good match on the fucking card, what shitty booking. The location was just fine, perfect actually for the time, but come on WWE what the fuck were you thinking! WM 11, goddamn I hate saying this because I actually really enjoy this show for it's good and bad reason's (I got the tape as an X-Mas gift as a kid and it was my first WWE Tape I think). That aside, there are no good matches, even Bret/Backlund pussed out of legend territory and it should have been phenomenal. Best match other than HBK/Diesel is the tag match with The Guns vs Owen and Yoko, I really love that match. WWE could have used Davey Boy and Luger, and The Undertaker to an much bigger impact, but declined due to lame ass old school booking and shitty wrestling. BTW what a waste to the terrific IC Title feud of Razor/Jarrett. That match should have had a decisive finish instead we get fucked in the ass as only old school WWE could. |
How the hell is 13 not getting any votes for worse?
|
Well it also has one of the top 5 WWE matches of all time, as well as some entertaining matches otherwise (Sultan and Rocky, the opening tag match, six man man street fight, and the tag title match with Vader, Bulldog, Owen, and Mankind.
It's a good one as far as I'm concerned. |

the match and therefore the PPV was one of sparks that ignited the attitude era |
Best: I'll go with Wrestlmania X (as a kid that owen vs bret match was awsome and only the opening match)
Worst: 11, anti-climatic, LT and JTT...bret vs backland filler match, bad finish to what should have been a better title match, and so on. also the fact it was only a year prior to the best WM IMO made it look worse. |
Best: 17
Worst: 2 Honorable Mentions Best: 21, 19 Worst: 16(2000) |
I like that this - a topic that is discussed on a yearly basis - still brings up debate and a difference in opinion. I thought it'd be am X7/9 whitewash.
Besides, you can't do a Best/Worst series without doing Mania. |
Best: 17
Worst: 9 |
Best: WM 19
Loved all the Wrestlemanias from 2000 (16) to XX (20) a lot but WM 19 might have been the best overall and at least the best rounded one of the recent post-Attitude Era Manias. If this was best match ever at Mania, Hogan vs Rock at WM X8 is my favorite even though their greatness made the rest of Mania look weak. Worst: WM IX While I never watched the whole Mania either when it occurred or with the use of Youtube/internet, it did have the weakest Streak match of Taker vs Giant Gonzales and a main event that was a huge waste to make Hogan look good at the cost of Bret (weak vs Yoko) and Yokozuna (weak vs a surprise Hogan). A lot of the more recent Manias seem to get hurt more by time issues like the last two years feeling a bit rushed because of lack of time even though that shouldn't be an issue. |
Best: WM17
Worst: WM 13. |

11, 12 ans 13 were all terrible shows. can't stand to watch them in completion.
6 is my favorite. |
Best: X-Seven. I can't even think of another WM that's close.
Worst: 11. I can't completely hate on 9.. it was the first WM I watched live and has a special place in my heart. If shit can ~have~ a special place in one's heart, anyway. :shifty: |
