Great Khali gone from WWE?

Meh
|
You know Khali has never really been interesting to me and I never cared about what he was doing but I'm actually a little sad to see him go now. I don't know it just seems that a lot of guys I thought were gonna be the mainstays of the current era have fizzled out or left (Kennedy, MVP, and Lashley just to name a few). Seems that things are never quite as they seem I mean if you had asked me if by now who would be in the main event MVP or Miz a couple years ago I would have answered "Seriously? MVP no contest." but look where that went.
|
I groaned every time I saw him limp his broken-down body to the ring for a match.
|
It's too bad that Khali never really accomplished anything in the WWE. Yes, I know he was World Heavyweight Champion, but really, who respects that reign he had?
A guy as big as he is should've been built and maintained as a monster. Instead he was more or less cannon fodder for Batista and others, and is/was a mid-card comedy act. Onto the next big man, Vince. |
Remember when he debut, and he pinned the Undertaker with a foot on his chest?!!!
From THAT to three-minute squash matches... |
Fuck about time, let's celebrate:

I'd say it's more of a, will anyone even notice he's gone really?
|
He was Ermaximus' #1 guy
|
Not hardly Jayman. My #1 guy was Christian. On my list, Khali was #35 or so.
|
Don't you lie to me. We all know the truth
|
KHALI GREAT IN DREAMS ONLY IN REAL LIFE SACK OF TURDS
|
JERRY gets it Jayman, so why don't you bro?
|
But JERRY dosn't know the real Ermax
|
Remember the last time he said he was leaving? Yeah, that worked out.
|
Didn't he leave to get his knees fixed? Yeah, that worked out

I don't mind Khali, but it was depressing watching him limp to the ring every week.

If Khali had a Mysterio leg, would that make Khali a quarter luchador?
|
Khali is Scuzzlebutt?
|
Mmmm, buh-bye!
|
Whilst I won't miss him personally, I do kinda feel bad for Khali. Must suck to be so immobile at a relatively young age. That said, he's made a fortune because of his size...
|
He was still around?

They should have pushed the fact that he killed a guy in the ring. Would have made him .3 times more over.

I wish they'd have given him a Bollywood Bodhan gimmick

take that back..dont actually wish they had..

In honour of this news, it's time for a 'Khali Says' moment:-
KHALI EAT ALL MEN BEAT HIM SELF TO YOU! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! |

I expected Khali to fail and be released within a few months of his debut. He may not have done much in our eyes but I think many people underrate his star power in India and surrounding countries. He has more mainstream star power there than John Cena has in North America. Because of his international star power, I always thought Khali had a safe job with WWE, so I'm thinking this is more Khali's decision than it is WWE's. |
He was ok for a bit but when his knees were shot and he was put into the nice guy role he sucked.
As for acting?..... <iframe frameborder="0" width="480" height="360" src="http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x518p6"></iframe><br /><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x518p6_the-great-khali-first-promo-as-dali_sport" target="_blank">The Great Khali First Promo as Dalip Singh</a> <i>by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/superbatista619" target="_blank">superbatista619</a></i> Nuff said. Good riddance. |
|
Khali will probably still be friendly with WWE for the movie roles and do some ambassador work in India for them.
|
Next TNA world champion. We will finally get to see that Abyss vs Great Khali match we've all been dreaming of :y:

Don't worry, after Abyss Khali will move onto five star matches with Rob Terry.
Rob Terry vs. The Great Khali |
And I mean, shit, Khali never got his heat back from this:
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/e1gYCoDmWJ8?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/e1gYCoDmWJ8?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object> There's a ready made money feud. |
i enjoyed nodding my cranium to his music.

I liked those skits w/ Hornswoggle, but guy was trash doing anything else.
|
I personally won't miss Khali at all, but I understand that this is a loss for the WWE in India. The most I cared about Khali was his pairing with Jinder Mahal earlier this year, but that didn't really matter. Someone obviously has a big hard-on for Mahal (he has relatives in the business), but the kid just isn't ready, in my opinion. He's got presence that you can't teach, but yeah -- didn't really get into their stint together beyond the theory of it.
Also, the idea of Khali not having any money after winning the World Title in the WWE is kind of ridiculous. Would Mahal divorcing his sister really make a big difference? I still think they should have Mahal bring out a hot Indian chick that he claims to be Khali's sister. Now that Khali is hurt, Ranjin Singh tries to make the save, but he gets his ass beaten down. This leads to Singh managing babyfaces to try and take down Mahal. Would at least make me interested in Mahal. Oh, we were meant to be talking about Khali? Never mind. |
Good fucking riddance.

Except even in your world WWE logic bleeds through, and this is one of those times. If you book it, he will return.
Make your choice. |
Khali was ok. Kind of a big goon with no real talent but he was tall and being taller makes a better rassler.
|
I will say this about Khali, he was a physical presence.
Was he a good wrestler? Fuck no. But he did put a LOT of money into the village he was from using his proceeds from wrestling. That alone makes him a good person. If nothing else, as far as his personal career goes, he can almost certainly continue to get work in Hollywood. Need a Physically Imposing Bodyguard character? He is that in spades. |
What a great way to end a career though he added to Henry's momentum by getting brutally squashed and now has a guaranteed cameos in WWE's shitty movies. :shifty:
|
Its a shame. Guy was limited in the ring, but I loved seeing him as the dominant head squashing heel. Was boring as a face, but cant complain really, he did get a run as world champ...
