Might have to give Old Republic a rest with the gift pile going on as well. Earn selected achievements and get a free game/coupon or coal. With coal, you can either get an entry into the prize draw (grand prize is every game on Steam) or use 8 lumps to make a gift and all the gifts are tradeable.

Been on a big Indy kick of late. Just got Block that Matter so far, but I'm sure I'll be getting more. Also got the Humble Indy Bundle the other day.

I've been eyeing Bunch of Heroes yesterday. How is it so far?

No idea, heard good things and impulse bought at that price so I'm not sure yet.

Almost everything is on sale on these sales. The trick is to check the daily deals and don't buy outside the daily deals until the last day of the same as they may be on one of them and have even more savings.

2.50 + solid reviews (well, solid feedback) are the reasons I bought it.

Geez... Getting past wave 20 was nuts... managed to get 800k or something and got our team the achievement.

Dungeons of Dredmor is so worth a little more than a dollar. One of my favorite games of the year.

DoD is a Rogue-like; it's a dungeon-crawl where (by default) death is permanent. The farther down you get in the dungeon, the more ridiculous things get, and the game basically leaves it up to you to figure out how to play the game effectively. Tons of items don't have descriptors on them, so you have to figure out what they do by trial-and-error.

I only got to the sixth floor on any of my characters, but it was always a blast to try new abilities out each time. I definitely got sad losing some of my characters, but it was more fun for me knowing that death could be behind any door.

Probably going to start playing it again, now that I need something over the holidays to play while I'm away from home.

I haven't played it in a while, but I can back up that it's well worth 86 pence/whatever it's going for in the US.

Just bought the DLC for 87 cents; didn't even know it had any. I bought the game the day it came out for five bucks, and it was well worth that amount.

Meh. Pass.

Picked up Witcher 1 & 2 for $25 all together.

The Witcher is fucking fantastic. Picked up W2 as well today, though from another website that had it for a few dollars cheaper, but still got it attached to Steam. I love Steamworks games.

Gave me HL2:Ep2 and coal. Don't have any of the games to do the objectives

I think if you buy the Humble Indie Bundle set you get all the soundtracks for those games for free as a bonus. It also has a grandfather clause that if any game in the set was purchased before, you still get that game's soundtrack for free.

Yeah definitely get the Humble Bundle (#4 includes Super Meat Boy). You pay what you want and can determine where the money goes.

There's also Indie Royale which includes some games that will have upcoming achievements for the Gift Pile. Again, you pay what you want.

All the games can be activated through Steam (if that needed to be said).

Grabbed Grotesque Tactics 1&2, Defense Grid and Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum on this days sales. Wallet beginning to feel abused and we have over a week of this left.

I keep hoping Divinity II will get cheaper in one of these sales, but I have too many games in my backlog like it, so it will have to wait.

I honestly just want a game, even if I own it already. These coupons don't make much sense when you can just get them cheaper now.

I mean maybe if you were broke enough to not be able to afford it now, but it isn't like the coupons might be something you would use anyway. Dungeons of Dredmor is fantastic, might be the best $3.74 purchase I have made.

They added five floors with the expansion, and I'm super surprised that I just finished the 8th floor an hour ago. Taking a break for tonight, but this is by the farthest I've taken one character. I've already maxed four skill trees. Only had one really close death experience so far too, right near the beginning.

Have a played of 12 hours so far. It's really amazing, and I've only managed to make it to the second floor. It's frustrating as hell, especially when you die from something stupid after owning a monster zoo, but it's so fun.

Even for full price (Like $7 with the expansion) it's a ridiculous value. A lot of full price games don't even have that kind of staying power with me (especially when the campaign is only 8 hours).

Batman: Arkham Asylum is 75% off. Too bad my processor might not cut it well when everything else seems more than enough :'(

Also if anyone has an extra HL2: Ep 1, lemme know.

Bastion is a top five game for me this year, I think. Listened to that soundtrack more than just about anything.

Got another coupon for a game I own too (Revenge of the Titans). Took me a while to remember I owned it already, from one of the HIBs.

Also, fuck Beat Hazard. Whoever designed that game knows nothing about visual subtlety.

I think I read that you can turn it down if you buy Ultra, but I kinda love how hard it is to focus on everything onscreen. Shit is popping off almost 100% of the time in that game. Was worried it would play too much like Geometry Wars too, and its dissimilar enough for me to play it when I get back home. I don't listen to music much these days anyway.

That Game of Thrones game looks good but has pretty bad reviews. Dunno, confused about it.
