Saw "Real Estate, Black Dice, Ducktails, Oneohtrix Point Never, The Babies and Dog Leather" at some Chinese buffet in Queens tonight.

Was just in an actual regular Chinese buffet. Like the steam tables were all in the middle of the crowd and stuff.

The Music Tapes also played this show which was surprising. I liked them, they are very weird. Their show included the automated organ-playing tower and a 7 foot tall metronome.

Jeff Mangum played most of Aeroplane and three songs from On Avery Island. He played all the songs I was hoping to hear.

Wanted to go to that but I saw Real Estate and Ducktails like 2937492374 times and seen Black Dice too. Seeing Oneohtrix Point Never next week.

Just bought tickets to The Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys on April 27th in St Louis MO. Fucking floor tickets sold out fast, so we got some 'meh' side stage tickets for $78 each. They are not amazing, but they are not upper level or back of the stadium tickets so I am like 'Yeaaaahhhhh'

It was actually kinda crappy. He played for like 25 min and I don't think he recorded anything. The venue is trying really hard to look all "Brooklyn Warehouse-y" but it's just some warehouse space Converse bought and "cleaned up" but still left looking kinda dingy (but in a really clean way) with Converse ads all over the place and faux-street art trying to appeal to hipster markets.

There was free Bushmills and PBR.

Also my roommate ruined it because he was complaining that Kurt Vile sucked the whole time.

Just got to see Rammstein last night for the first time. F'n amazing show. Vocals were a little lower than I thought they would be, but Rammstein does not disappoint.

I just saw The Black Keys this weekend, I'm seeing M83 in September and RHCP in November.

Nice, how did you like it? Saw them in St Louis a couple weeks ago as posted somewhere up on the page. They played well and put on a really energetic show, but our seats fucking sucked. Great view, but terrible sound. Couldn't hear a fucking thing the Arctic Monkeys played. Like, literally whoever did the sound was a fucking idiot and just didn't give a shit about anyone to the sides. Was just a constant stream of sound and I couldn't hear anything except noise. Literally sounded like super loud white noise or something. Was kinda pissed.

Keys had better sound, and the best was when they played a set with just the two of them. But where we were sucked a little bit of the enjoyment from it. Like the speakers hanging from the ceiling were just so fucking loud, pointed directly at us, and we were getting echo from the rest of the arena probably that by the time the Monkeys were done I could barely hear out of my left ear and there was just a constant stream of noise blending together. So when the Keys came on, I was half deaf already.

Kind of hate venues that turn the sound up SO FUCKING LOUD that you can't even hear the music. Like, there's loud and rocking the fuck out and cranking it to 11. And then there's just CRANKING IT TO 20 JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN.

I have not kept up with this in the least

Suffice to say, I have seen ∞ shows

I am going to see Alison Krauss and Union Station next month, and in October I will be seeing Down.

Maybe KISS/Motley Crue in July. Originally 4 of us were going then it just dropped to my brother and I so I'm waiting it out a little to see if plans change again but I doubt it.

If I remember correctly this will end up being my first concert as I typically avoid large events like this...well I went to a Charlie Daniels concert at a county fair a few years ago, but this should be a far bigger animal.

Animal Collective on Sept 20. Unfortunately the venue they are playing at has the shittiest acoustics in the world and you can't hear what's going on half the time. Gotta find the sweet spot.
