The Indifferent Clox Indie Wrestling Extravanganza
This dude is amazing! Brittish wrestler. Best high flyer in wrestling.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?desktop_u...I9s9h0Vk&gl=US Also he recently got ripped. |
God damn it, I feel dirty for enjoying Pac now... Dude is a hell of a flyer, maybe the best I've seen even.
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jLiI9s9h0Vk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Holy crap, he's mad talented! Why is it not in the E or the A?
Tell Vince. You guys are buddies right? Are the very least: youre no stranger to Vince...
When Evan Bourne hits his third strike (based on current trends I'm going to say about 27 seconds after his current suspension is up... at least Jeff Hardy had enough time for a cup of coffee between suspensions) PAC should be the one to take his spot.
I think he's happy with his Japanese and Indie bookings tbh though.
Just calling him Pac sounds boring.
They should call him Y-Pac. X-Pac was a good cruiserweight, so Y-Pac is even better and is the sequel to X-Pac. |
He's gained a good 20 lbs in muscle.since that video to.
Because Vince doesnt like little spot monkeys?
Matt sydal was Much more of a spot monkey than pac
Within one week Clox makes a thread about THE MOST REALISTIC MATCH HE HAS SEEN
Then Touts this spot monkey Flip Machine. |
Quote:
Yes, Hanso he did.
I like many different styles both realistic and not, your point? |
Quote:
Yeah he's constantly booked somewhere.
He's on the art of wrestling podcast this week with professional wrestlings own boom.boom.colt cabana. Live in the studio....
Apartment |
Why would anybody hire Pac when they could hire Sixx Pac? That's at least five Pacs more.
Standard indy trash.
Post a promo.
Quote:
Also, I can't help but get the feeling his repertoire would go to waste in WWE. I feel as though they would cherry-pick 4-5 of his 'safest' moves and leave the rest to rot. |
Have him join Sin Cara's League of Sin Caras.
I can never tell the difference between anything any of these guys do. I can't see any difference in that video to the ones that were posted when the news of WWE signing Sin Cara was going round.
Literally could not find a promo.
Who needs to talk when you can FLIP?
Pac jumps.much higher and stays in the air much longer. He tucks at like the last possible se one sometimes and takes ridiculous bumps.
How many times did he botch is the question that the little hype video does not answer......
Not that often he's pretty precise
Listened to him on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling deal. Seems like a nice guy, and I hope the best for him. He's apparently making a decent living out of his indy work, so for people who talk shit about him, you shouldn't be so judgemental. I'm not into the indy stuff that much, but to be able to make an actual living working those shows must tell you something about the guy.
Ton of Indy guys just as good in the ring as just about every wwe Guy. They just aren't as charismatic or their style.would be non complimentary to wwe. Or they're just not attractive lol
pretty humble too. Just because he wouldn't work out with WWE doesn't mean he doesn't have a place in pro wrestling. Pull your heads out of your asses.

Correct.
To everyone asking "post a promo":
... that's what a manager is for. Nobody said that shit about Lesnar when he was green and Heyman was talking for him. No one said "he can't cut a promo, he won't be worth anything." Bashing spot-monkeyism (yes, I made that a word, !3MTA3) *just because* doesn't mean a) it's not entertaining and b) it doesn't have a place in the world of wrestling. Just because some people on teh internets don't like "800 flip kings" doesn't mean the potential cash cow isn't there for the milking. |
I don't even care if a guy is a spot monkey. Sometimes I like to watch a high energy match with lots of flippity flops. Other times I like to watch a slower match that tells a good story.
So he's a spot monkey. Doesn't make what he does any less amazing. |

He's alright, but he just does too many flippy spots. Kind of dull after about 5 minutes.
that corkscrew shooting star press is pretty sick
Is there a link to his match with Generico that makes up like half of that highlight video? Looks pretty insane. Especially that top rop reverse frankensteiner

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NBxlusN6IfU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
so the top rope reverse frankensteiner wasn't even part of the finish...
you know, I like indy wrestling, and I even like the mindless unnecessarily flippy matches with 90 false finishes, but what the fuck |

Why is it much more important for a guy to be able to talk AS WELL AS dazzle people in the ring as opposed to someone who just stands around looking massive and menacing and may/my not be able to talk for squat? |
because people look at a guy lesnar and go "that guy could beat anyones ass."
wrestling may be a work, but looking tough will always be at its core. its a key component of the work itself.
Pac put on 20 lbs of muscle but still is not huge.
I met Zack Sabre Jr once.
EDIT - I Bet Dave Mercy would kill this guys face off. |
He is physically gifted... he is capable of doing pretty much anything, as he is strong as fuck with the extra 20 pounds of muscle and still quick. What he should be doing is watching Dynamite Kid matches and learn something about psychology while also being able to high fly. Or even more importantly, Chris Jericho matches. However I must say, from listening to his interview with Colt he is a definite student of the game and is still VERY young and will only get better.
He's also catering to a crowd who wants him to be a spot monkey and eat all that shit up. That also needs to be taken into account. Who knows how he'd wrestle in front of a WWE type crowd, under WWE type restrictions. |

TJ Perkins
http://m.youtube.com/watch?desktop_u...e8uieuSE&gl=US
Here's a video of him as puma and tjp. He's an acrobatic/ scientific/ striker and he's awesome. One of the most well rounded in the Indies. |
Stop making threads
When they stop getting replies I will. Till then fuck off dude.
Why not start a thread for indie stuff Clox, keep it all together
Because gertner. But seriously, not all Indie guys are the same, why put them in the same thread? That'd like why not make a wwe thread? Much more guys outside of wwe...
I'm sure Gertners a changed man. You'd probably get more replys in a single thread, easier to update and follow over time, just an idea.
Pretty sure Clox loves getting trolled.
Pretty sure I could edit this and with Juan's help paste the pac thread here to and make it Indiifferent clock Indie wrestling extravanganza, but no marks would look at it. I just think there's more of a chance of someone getting into the style. Dunno. While im definetly lookingg for discussion, my ultimate goal is to make people more aware of great wrestlers who break the mold. I'd love to do a series of great Indie wrestlers, maybe a best of the Indies thing, weekly. Maybe a rate the Indie workers thread.
Problem is I don't have mods on my side, and I do have a lot of troll bait looming over me. |
i'm impressed, but pretty much what everyone else said: you can't do all that flippy shit without someone who knows how to do that flippy shit with you.
also, he's a butterface. |
Can't wait until Gertner returns.
gotta say making threads for random workers will get fewer replies.
Quote:
And yes certain styles clash, but a good worker can adapt and change up. |
the "flippy guys can only work with other flippy guys" argument holds no water. you see them paired against each other often simply because people will pay to see it. its not that you suddenly cant work a lucha/lucharesu/or us indy style when you work some who's working say a memphis stlye. is just the pacing will have to change to commidate.
basically just dont work a sprint and it will mesh like any other match.

So fucking stupid. Let's try and maintain even the slightest semblance of reality. |
Eddie Kingston. Amazing on the mic(dude has brought tears to my eyes) great brawler
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop...3DbY5D9M&gl=US I'd love to see stern an Kingston team up in wwe. Or feud in ring of honor. Kevin steen, for those who don't know, can do it all, and he looks likea fitter fallen angel (not Christopher Daniels) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbCxkEx_OkM |
Some of those moves are so fucking stupid.
Plus WWE would never let that Steen guy get over. Look, stop posting random indy guys you only know from youtube. And start embedding videos FFS. Also stop posting fucking YOUTUBE fucking MOBILE links you tool. |
Quote:
It'd just piss people off more. |
Quote:
I'll take Steen more seriously when he even tries to remotely resemble an athlete.
Dude destor check out His promo before high noon. If that doesn't bring a tear to your eye ill owe you a green rep
Also I don't just know them from YouTube. I actually buy the DVDs
Quote:
I can imagine Clox sitting in front of his computer, tearing up, and yelling "IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT!"
Its actually a pretty personal promo not so much kayfabe.
Is there a youtube clip of it?
Possibly. I think its pretty new.Kingston is the first chikara grand champion right now. And steen is pwg champion and probably a future Roh champion.

Did he shoot on you or something?
lol...no. that tough guy shit of his is a work anyhow.
Oh yeah of course, but that backfist of the future is fucking sick.
Was it steen v finlay at bola this year? OMG that was amazing. |
i still havent seen that match, but i've heard nothing but good things
Oh it was stupendous. And then generico v castignoli that night... wowwww! That whole match was just ridiculously awesome.
im sure to get through a tape trade at some point
I can trade it to ya. Do you have any of the super 8 tournaments? Or any 90s ajpw?
yeah, but im not giving personal info online.................soooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I feel ya. I didn't really think about that lol. I just want some ajpw :(
My tape trade dude can't find any. Also on a side note ego pros Booker used to trade tapes with the its still real to me dammit Guy. |

Could you elaborate?

Plus, I like how "clunky" he makes everything look. He doesn't make everything smooth, and it adds a bit of realism to his style. I was recently thinking about PAC signing with the WWE, essentially filling the John Morrison/Evan Bourne holes and becoming "Thomas Saint" or something like that (homage to both The Dynamite Kid and Johnny Saint). Also, Kevin Steen right now is one of the hottest prospects in independent wrestling. He seems like the uncrowned ROH World Champion right now. He's got that "I'm really going to kick your ass" charisma mixed with the "common man" look. I don't know if it would translate over to a stage like the WWE, but I could certainly see him in TNA. |
That's why I tthink he and Kingston should team.
I've got to be honest -- not too big on Kingston. I've heard he's got charisma and whatever, but he's just never been a guy I was too interested in. I think Steen killing bitches dead on his own works fine.
Also, El Generico should have a career in the WWE. He could be a babyface similar to The Hurricane, Spike Dudley and Santino Marella easily. That plucky, likeable mid-carder role that somehow overachieves. |
Definetly. Generico and cabana would be an amazing team for wwe in my opinion.
Colt Cabana should be in the WWE, but I don't think they should ignore his relationship with CM Punk. I'd see him more as a loose associate, working in the mid-card (a feud with Jack Swagger could be amazing), but having some backstage segments or even a WWE.com show with Punk. Then, in the draft, Cabana gets separated and sent to SmackDown!, or something.
Generico would work better with a no-nonsense partner. He's the funny, likeable, charismatic act; whereas his partner is the ruthless dude who hot tags in. I can't think of anyone in particular right now (Mason Ryan and Skip Sheffield don't seem right). Even though he's not no-nonsense, Brodus Clay could be good. Their tag team name could be "Our Bad." |
Well word is that z long island story may become a wwe network show. So cabana and punk having theeir own show like the art of Wrestling would be awesome.
The Colony is much better than everyone else mentioned in this thread
