I think a lot of people miss the point of ICP. It's not meant to be taken seriously, its just for silly, dumb, fun. I like ICP because their songs are funny and entertaining to listen to when you just want to chill out.

I listen to tons of "serious" music, but once in a while, you just want to take a break and listen to something funny/dumb, and thats is the point.

Oh, I seriously doubt it's once in a while for you. :p

I used to work at an establishment that sold music and music tees and such. When Juggalos would come in we always had to Febreeze the place. So it's my understanding that tear-inducing BO is part of their whole cult-like following.

I think perhaps it is you who's missing the point here. While I immensely enjoyed one of their albums since they debuted (it's the only one I've ever liked of theirs), I think most people would agree that the reason they hate/"hate" ICP isn't because they "try too hard to be funny", it's more because people don't like all the negativity in their songs.

But there's hidden religious meaning in those songs!

If by "hidden religious meanings" you mean copious amounts of swearing, references to sex and drugs (sometimes rock and roll, othertimes whoever they please to insult...) and Faygo references, then yes, you are correct.

I havent enoyed icp since bizzare bizzare or whatever its called and even then It was like one song on the album. Based on the comments whatever standing I have with AT is gonna be hurt but I hate that fucking band and their obnoxious asshole fans whose faces are so incredibly punchable that and the fact that the only physical fight Ive ever been in is with a self professed Juggalo (I was fed up and beat the christ outta that dude)

I'm sure you guys are familiar with term "outlier", so I'm not going to sit here and defend my Juggaloism, but it really seems that most of the people that "hate" it the most haven't heard...well, much of anything. I've been fighting this battle with people for years, and I've actually made fans of people by making them CDs of my favorite ICP songs, but anything like that would be a pretty big waste of time here.

What spawned this thread, though? When was the last time ICP did anything of note? It's not like you hear them on the radio every five minutes and they're being crammed down your throat. You have to look for them in order to find them. If you don't like them, stop looking.

I use to like them when I was teenager. Their clown act highly appealed to me, as well as their overall anger. I haven't listened to them since high school though. I guess listening to them, (along with honestly enjoying their clown gimmick) was just my way of trying to be a typical teen guy in high school. I moved on however.
