Destor 02-13-2012 05:38 AM

for me this is a blowout, but i think tpww might have a pretty good debate on this one...maybe im wrong.

KaosDarksol 02-13-2012 05:46 AM

Vader because I like Vader

Rammsteinmad 02-13-2012 06:01 AM

Easily Foley on this one.

Destor 02-13-2012 06:03 AM

i can see my brain works a pretty set way. gotta start looking through the early round matches. ANYWAYS.

James Steele 02-13-2012 06:07 AM

Mick Foley's mind puts him ahead of Vader. Foley can get whatever emotion he wants out of you and make damn near anything work.

whiteyford 02-13-2012 06:32 AM

Vader, barely, and probably based solely on nostalgia because i love Foley but can't stand his stuff from TNA onwards.

Skippord 02-13-2012 06:50 AM

Foley, although Vader's Boy Meets World stint is more memorable.

RiX1024 02-13-2012 06:55 AM

Foley, nuff said.

Was watching this last night. After about 6 months of mainly comic gold Foley during 1999, this gave me the chills.

That and I haven't seen a bad Foley match since I started going back from 1997 gives him the easy win for me.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-13-2012 07:06 AM

Obligatory

stultiloquy 02-13-2012 08:34 AM

Foley has impressed me far more than Vader ever has.
Even when he wasn't killing himself in the ring, Foley was more versatile and charismatic on the mic.
I haven't seen Vader get anything across on the mic or in the ring beyond 'Me Vader! Me smash! Vader Time!'

Attitude99 02-13-2012 08:36 AM

tough one, but foley gets my vote here. his promos are awesome.

Seth82 02-13-2012 08:47 AM

I'll have to go with Foley

not a fan of alot of his WWE and TNA stuff

I liked his work as Cactus Jack in WCW, ECW and Japan

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-13-2012 09:56 AM

Vader because Vader made Foley.

Nicky Fives 02-13-2012 10:21 AM

Foley.....

Supreme Olajuwon 02-13-2012 10:39 AM

Vader is amazing. Probably the best big man ever.

BUT, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that made me care more about his matches than Mick Foley. Maybe Savage, but that's it.

Double D 02-13-2012 10:42 AM

Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy, without question. My boy and I got to meet him and get pics and autographs and stuff and he was great, he was signing autographs for hours and treated every fan like they were first in line. But even without that experience, he'd get my vote for sure.

XCaliber 02-13-2012 10:56 AM

Have to go with Mick on this one he is simply the more entertaining of the two despite not having the look or the best actual wrestling skills.

Kane Knight 02-13-2012 10:57 AM

Foley shit all over himself and I still prefer him.

MoFo 02-13-2012 11:43 AM

Vader b/c if Foley isnt jumping off a 20ft cell hes stupid and boring.

St. Jimmy 02-13-2012 12:29 PM

Foley has some of the best ring pysch I've ever seen. I'm not huge on stunt bumps though. Still, Foley.

Iop 02-13-2012 12:54 PM

Foley entertained me FAR more than Vader

Gertner 02-13-2012 01:24 PM

Vader and it's not even close. Fucking twats.

Jordan 02-13-2012 02:29 PM

Foley is one of the most entertaining workers of all time. He's ridiculous, his feud with The Rock should go in the top 10 of all time.

El Fangel 02-13-2012 02:31 PM

I went to click Vader and then I was like "...oh...well fuck..."

Going to have to consider this one.

DAMN iNATOR 02-13-2012 04:53 PM

Would've had to have been DARTH Vader to have had any chance of knocking Foley off.

Theo Dious 02-13-2012 05:02 PM

The idea that a masked fat guy with a higher agility score than usual and a tendency to cry when someone didn't like him would beat an often masked less fat guy who is also a best-selling author is ridiculous.

Emperor Smeat 02-13-2012 06:14 PM

Foley

clearly said by a guy who dislikes the big man style. i promise the wide margin of people voting vader dont care about his moonsault.

Wishbone 02-13-2012 07:19 PM

Foley is one of my all time favorites so it'll be hard for anyone to beat him

This is TPWW. I you're over 5'8", you're already 90% disqualified.

Entirely untrue. I just don't like Vader. Have quite an appreciation for the likes of Earthquake, Yokozuna, and the One Man Gang, and to a lesser degree, Rikishi and Rosey. Vader has always bored me. He's always been presented in a "look at the big unstoppable monster" mold and I never bought it. Funny thing is that I've seen a lot of him. I watched a good bit of WCW when he was being pushed, and a lot of him in the WWF around the time he debuted. I don't get what makes him special.

Shisen Kopf 02-13-2012 09:48 PM

This is a debate of epic proportions. But the correct answer is Dude Love. Also, Vader vs Bam Bam Bigelow would be a better who's better rassler.

Theo Dious 02-13-2012 11:24 PM

I have a feeling that was being saved for Vader's HOF bout.

Bam Bam. Another big man better than Vader.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-14-2012 01:14 AM

Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow met during Better Wrestler #101 with Vader toughing out a 33-32 victory.

Incorrect.

Anywho, was gonna give Vader the sympathy vote, but I just couldn't bring myself to vote against Foley here.

Darkone 02-14-2012 01:37 AM

As someone who has watched Vader in japan and in the US, as much as I love him, if you look at the whole body of work by Mick Foley, you can't say that Vader is better.

Vader is perhaps one of the best big man style wrestler ever. You can make a good argument that he is the best.

But Mick has done so much more. He was the first KOTDM, his first title win was perhaps the greatest feel good momment ever. Ever WCW that night, told you to switch the channel and watch him win. Mick Foley made and entire Org tap.

Plus Hell in the Cell.

Plus his work with the Undertaker.

Can't vote for Vader in this one, but feel bad about it.

You can make a great case for Vader. Besides his work with Mick, he didn't really do gimmick matches. He didn't need to. Just his size and his character made him a fucking badass. He didn't need a chair to beat your skull in. He didn't have to wrestle in barbed wire.

What Mick has done, through all his stint, has been very very good at controlled train wrecks. When you think of the Spider Net Death Match you think of that same stupid FMW DVD we found on sale for like 2 bucks, that we bought on a lark cause Mick was in it.

Flying off the Cell.

Mick has just done more. And, when he was able, he kept the car crashs going. You look at someone like the Necro Butcher, someone very known on the Indy scene someone who would have been in ECW, and he did the same style, but he never took it to the big stage and couldn't. Now he can barely wrestle.

Samoa Joe is the samething to Vader. While yes he has taken it all the way. All the way is TNA. And even there he is a sad shadow of how feared he used to be. Do yourself a favor find some of the matches that him and CM Punk, or him and Daniel Bryan had with him. There some of the best matches of all time.

The thing that makes it a good look at is that both Mick and Vader really REALLY through time a couple of times. So did Joe, and Necro

Perhaps they don't work as well, but thats my arguements for both sides, but I side with Foley.

Bam Bam. Another big man better than Vader.

no way Bam Bam is "revered" enough to be a HOF round opponent. What do you take this for, some kind of slack ruled internet competition??

I really think this competition needs to be treated with the fighting spirit.

Perhaps we should see who can take more Superkicks.

Innovator 02-14-2012 11:56 AM

Pft superkicks are outdated. We need enziguris and yakuza kicks!

Maybe we should see who can turn heel for no reason, renounce his former gimmick, and drop pipe bombs the fastest!

What does that have to do with it? Russo is hated by smarks. What I described is the smark wet dream!

Blue Demon 02-15-2012 08:20 AM

Foley, without much of a doubt.

Yeah but he's the one guy who's likely to go totally balls-out with the idea.
