Greatest Tag Team Wrestler ... of all time

Okay so I was just listening to Bill Gunn talk about getting gay with Chuck Palumbo (RIP) and it made me think about how he is one of the greatest tag team performers of all time, having been apart of several huge teams, Billy & Chuck, The New Age Outlaws, and of course The Smoking Gunns.

Always gay?

Also here is a picture of Sunny's crotch

So who is the best tag teamer of all the time? Billy, Big Show, Kane? Who is it and why.

whiteyford 04-06-2012 02:26 PM

RIP?

Seth82 04-06-2012 02:30 PM

Jordan 04-06-2012 02:31 PM

Jordan 04-06-2012 02:32 PM

Also Edge is a good choice, he had that great tag team with Rey Misterio, a summer fling with Hogan, and didn't he team up with somebody else too? I dunno though can't remember.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-06-2012 02:32 PM

Didn't expect my answer to be taken in the original post.

Kane and X-Pac were a tandem to be feared, due to high risk maneuvers like thiss....

http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...EZ0zf1lApGwH7T

Kane is killing some guy that looks kinda like Edge and then Taker is killing Edge
http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...eBMnlagUuzpULA

Also Kane killed again with Big Show

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...21MaJ0i8-nEkGQ

Kane also worked well against opponents with this MAN

Do not forget the chaos that ensued when he slapped the dangerous hand of this one

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...oaHBtX3rqHVHVn

Also KANE committed crimes against WWE stars with ...

CSL 04-06-2012 02:47 PM

Billy Gunn is a pretty good shout tbf, Arn Anderson, Davey Boy Smith

Jordan 04-06-2012 02:49 PM

I've never really cared for The R'nR Express cause they are so rednecky, plus I saw the best first, The Rockers, and lets get real they didn't have anything on ...

itsmeJD 04-06-2012 02:51 PM

My vote would go to either Arn Anderson or Bobby Eaton. What about Marcus Alexander Bagwell? :shifty:

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-06-2012 05:06 PM

Barry Windham:

-NWA United States Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with Ron Garvin
-NWA World Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Dustin Rhodes
NWA All-Star Wrestling (North Carolina) NWA Tag team titles- with Tully Blanchard1[80]
-NWA World (Mid-Atlantic)/WCW World Tag Team Championship (4 times) – with Lex Luger (1), Dustin Rhodes (1), Curt Hennig (1), and Kendall Windham (1)
- WWF World Tag Team Championship (2 times) – with Mike Rotunda[10]

And that's not even all of them.

Stop it guys, this thread was already answered in the first post. Let's just accept it and move on.

Belt-Tag Era title reigns should be divided by like two or three.

Nicky Fives 04-06-2012 05:30 PM

I gotta go with Billy Gunn..... 3 legit tag teams is hard to beat..... followed closely by Booker T & Arn Anderson....

DLVH84 04-06-2012 07:17 PM

Followed by Anderson?

He held tag titles with Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Larry Zybsko, and Bobby Eaton.

Don't forget the one that doesn't deserve to be a Horsemen.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-06-2012 07:41 PM

Nah Billy Gunn > All those old fossils.

Mr. Nerfect 04-06-2012 08:39 PM

I can't comment on the past so much, but Billy Gunn is a good pick. I mean, are we talking about the best tag team wrestlers or the best wrestlers from a tag team?

Edge is another great pick. He held the gold with Christian seven times (then a record), but also held gold with Hulk Hogan, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho.

Three guys that have not been mentioned:

* Robert Roode was part of Team Canada, then formed Beer Money (two actual tag teams) and is now an awesome heel World Heavyweight Champion.

* James Storm was part of America's Most Wanted and then Beer Money before becoming a World Champion himself.

* John Morrison was part of MNM, who were one of the last truly great WWE tag teams, and then had that awesome run with The Miz where they pretty much appeared on all three shows claiming dominance.

BollywoodSingh 04-07-2012 01:20 AM

Definitely not Billy Gunn. The New Age Outlaws got super over, sure. But the Smoking Gunns were never that great and Billy & Chuck were just terrible.

Billy Gunn is probably the best of all time. Being good in the shitty NWA means nothing. Sorry Arn. WWF/E is king.
