Considering he seems to get re-injured very quickly once he returns, the 2 extra months might be more of a benefit than a bad thing to him since now he gets 2 more months to heal up or rest his knees.

Rey really needs to just hang it up for his own good before he gets an injury he will never recover from.
And while the energy he exudes may give his matches a false sense of excitement, the way I see it, he has been putting on the exact same match for almost a decade. He used to be special, but now he is just a glorified spot monkey imo. His career ended for me when he started using the 619. |
Rey was a monster in WCW and then he went to WWE bulked up and these days I hate to see him coming.

Not a huge fan, but this kinda sucks. He can still put on good matches and he is very over with the crowd.
At least I don't have to worry about him being in the World Title hunt for a little while. (I know he's a big enough name to warrant being in the picture, but I've never "bought" into his chases; his reigns even less.) |

I don't really give a shit what Rey Mysterio does in his personal life, TBH.
I also don't give a shit if he wants to retire. Let him do what he wants. Guy's had a long, solid career. And even though they toss the hall of fame at just about everyone now, Mysterio has the resume of a real hall of famer. He's a classic. Very good wrestler. |
