Definitely skeptical, since that trailer makes it look very mkvdc.

- Environments play a larger role than merely slamming into walla or going over edges. Like DOA5's stage philosophy, on an epic comic book scale, the environment can be used in different ways - essentially altering a character's moveset.

- An example said was how a car can factor in a match between two players. A power character like Wonder Woman could simply pick up the car and hit you with it. A gadget character like Batman, however, would slam your head on the car. As a point of balance, Ed Boon says gadget characters may use items like a car in more ways that may be more useful.

- Certain transitions could take the players to entirely different stages.

Seems their Superman was inspired by DC's likely 'no underwear' clause for modern Superman. At least they have the fashion sense to give him a yellow belt which keeps his three primary colors on sight. Overall Supes looks like his DCnU Earth-2 version.

All sorts of The Dark Knight ideas on their Batman. He even seems to have the human eyes under black make-up thing going.

Wonder Woman looks like her failed TV series look. Hate the chest area.

Grundy looks like Grundy.

The Flash looks horrible.

Hate all those designs.

- Clash System seems interesting.

- I love the disingenuous comparisons to Smash regarding random stage props and such, and then saying you can toggle them off - Smash had extended options in editing or completely removing items for ages.

- Hero Traits are basically supers. Seems like a strange term to use, though.

- They had a DC writer for MKvDC as well. It was ass.

- That to me is a nice number of characters, especially for a game that isn't a sequel.

- This game will not be played at major tournaments. Why are they trying to cater to that crowd when clearly they are crafting a game in the vein of DOA5's 'fighting entertainment' philosophy. Hell, it's a few steps from being an arena fighter - and much closer to the DBZ Budokai and Naruto PS2 series than a legit fighting game. They should play their position and bank on that.

They got my brother with Mortal Kombat, and will likely get me with this. I just hope that there is a good story behind this. I'm not much for fighting games so I hope there is something that can keep me playing.

I would hope that his alternate would be informed by his TDKR's appearance but I guess they're going for his origin story prison escape instead.

Was hoping the alternates would be classic costumes, given that the defaults look like bad 90's outfits.

All the classic jla members' costumes are iconic.

They are rather simple, so I understand their desire to spruce them up a bit, but they threw to much shit all over the costumes IMO.

Flash's costume here kinda undermines his gimmick, tbh.

The thing that bothers me most about the Flash, aside from the whole armor thing, is he looks like an anatomy diagram. Like someone ripped the flesh off his body and left all the muscles exposed.

I'd see that as a by-product of his traditional color being armor-ized and adhering to muscle placements. Imagine Batman's attire being red.

Oh I get why it looks that way, but you would have thought someone during design would have had the same thought and done away with the idea for him. Although now that I think about it, he probably would have just ended up with an armored up Kid Flash outfit.

Could have been better anyway.

Aquaman confirmed to be in the game while Ed Boon teases more characters are still several more left to be revealed in the near future.

Sinestro and Hawk Girl confirmed. Really hope Maria Canals is doing HG again, loved her as HG and She-Hulk (UMvC3).

I do love that they got the DCAU Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman-- shame they don't have Clancy Brown as Luthor or Hamill as Joker, but the new guys they have for them are fine.

I'm still on the fence about whether or not I really want this game. On the one hand, I always kinda hate it when they try and make Superman and the Justice League more "gritty" to be more in line with Batman, and I really don't like a lot of the character designs. And considering how powerful the majority of DC's heroes and villains are, just doing a 2-D fighter with them doesn't come anywhere close to what you could potentially do with them, so I'd feel like I'm just playing an extremely watered-down Superman or GL rather than the genuine article.

On the other hand, I really liked the last Mortal Kombat, and I'm interested in seeing how the story mode goes, so I'll probably give it a rental at least.

I know it sounds crazy, and why the hell would DC do such a drastic thing in killing off Lois Lane and Joker (but lets be honest, it wouldnt be the first time in a comic a character has been 'killed'), but I just think if they showed this side of Supes, it would add an incredible dynamic to his character.

Maybe not take it as far as they do in the game, but at least consider Lane, Joker, and the aftermath of Supes depression/anger canon.

Well what to remember is this something DC merely signed off to promote the game. Compared to other off-canon stuff (cartoons, Elseworls line, etc) what happens in the Injustice comic is almost par for the course. What if Superman goes rogue, superhuman arms race, blah blah.

Season Pass was announced recently and costs $15 (1200 MS Points).

The pass gives around a 25% discount for the 4 DLC characters it covers and a Flashpoint Skin Pack which is alternate costumes for three fighters.

I will discuss in detail one day but if you're going to do a season pass DLC thing, you best reveal what the DLC is front and center - especially for fighters.

I completely fucking agree, an old argument of mine is how people tend to screw themselves over when it comes to this thing. We were just talking about it last week. And I overall like season pass deals.

I just think it would make sense to reveal what people are buying at a discount, unless the mystery is the tradeoff for the discount in the first place. And as KK said you could just get it once you know what you're getting into.

Just an itch of mine, I guess.

Thankfully people will buy it blindly, reinforcing the blind buy mentality.
