At 33:06, CM Punk addresses a question about a new WWE title. He confirms there is a new title and it will be revealed soon. I am guessing the 1000th episode of Raw will be the reveal date. Watch the whole video, pretty interesting.

Yeah seen that. he said in earlier interviews that the current belt is about 30lbs and this new once will be 20lbs heavier? A 50lbs belt is going to have a lot of crap glued all over it I think.

We have the classic Intercontinental Title back. If somehow Vince shows up with the classic "eagle" WWF Title, wow. It'd bring instant class to the title (which it kinda needs).

Have Laurinaitis bring out the new title and put it on someone to feud with CM Punk and proclaim him the new and real WWE champion in which Laurinaitis says from now on the person who holds this new title is the actual WWE champion and to disregard Punk as the champion. They start having the new champ defend his title on TV and PPVs and other wrestlers are bidding to be the number contender for this title instead of Punk's title. Punk in the meantime is mind-boggled at what is going on until he gets really pissed and they have an undisputed champion match. Then obviously when CM Punk wins he reminds everyone of what Laurinaitis said and wears the new belt instead of the spinner title.

Behold... the belt should be Punk's exclusive WWE Ice Cream Bar Championship belt!

Really great idea, actually.

Not a fan of the multiple WWE championships. Especially after how it went down when Cena had the other one. Though I must say I'll remember forever the sight of Cena holding up the replica belt with a grimace as Punk held up the real thing.

The Undisputed title is my favorite design. It seems a little stark for the current era, though. I’d really love to see the Attitude Era belt or “Winged Eagle” belt. At this point, anything would be better than that toy, but I agree with whoever said they should debut it at the 1,000th Raw.

I get that the WWE was trying to go for symmetry with the whole matching titles thing, but I think that last year was the perfect time to have a new WWE Title debut and have Punk come back and win that one, as well.

It'd be pretty fitting if WWE had someone like Ziggler or Rhodes win the WWE Title at a PPV, and the next night on RAW start off the show with John Laurinaitis (or Vince) calling out the new Champion and presenting him the "classic" eagle WWF Title, going on a promo about how "It's time to bring some class and dignity to the WWE Championship after it was held by CM Punk" etc, or call for a "new era". It would be a nice gesture to the new Champion, and it would further the storyline with Punk (because the guy who loses the title always gets a rematch).

No it isn't. It sounds like something Vince Russo shat out after a night of burritos and Dos Equis.

This sounds good though. Whether it's the Winged Eagle belt or a totally new design, it would be a good way to usher out a belt everyone hates and put over the new champ as "worthy." I really feel like a Punk/Ziggler feud culminating in a real Ziggler title reign would be a great time for this; not only for the reasons that have been covered, but it would fit into Ziggler's "show off" image to have him be like "I'm such an awesome champion I deserve a new belt." You can build the Flair thing into it too; have him demand that Vickie stay away from ringside during the match, have her interfere anyway and nearly cost him the match. Then during his belt presentation have him fire Vickie in the ring and bring out the guy who's been giving him GOOD advice behind the scenes.

Definitely. As you said, it would also be a great way to bring Ric Flair into the mix. Can you imagine what all this would do for Ziggler? Wow.

Trying to work out what the things are around it for comparison. Is that a business card in the top right corner? Would make that plate pretty small and therefore likely to be a side plate.

That thing in the top right corner looks to be one those plates they put on gravesites or something. Or just a name plate for a person or a business, in which case, again, that would make what we see the center of the title.

Then again, they should've kept the (then) "Unified" Tag Team Championship belts as one WWE Tag, one World Tag championship per person on the defending/reigning team, but now we just have to sit and look at two ugly-ass belts that look like giant fucking pennies.

That Jeff hardy Belt was completely horrible though. lol

If they add the shadowing to the title, it may not be so bad. I don't think they should put the logo on as the centerpiece... Just the letters would do fine The logo takes away from the cred to me...

Looks pretty ugly and it seems like all they really did was change "Champ" back into "Champion" using the same font and made it more square-ish than the rounder Cena title.

Also looks more like the design used for toy belts than an actual belt.

That has to be a side plate, just based on the horizontal vs vertical dimensions.

I actually would like to see the belt revert back to the old championship. The Cena adapted belt was too........ Kidsy or gimmicky. Started with the spinner on it then stood still but still didn't change the look it didn't help it still looks kidsy.

Welcome to yesterday. On a side note, I see there is no name plate space in there. I am just about certain now that is a side plate.

That's what I've been thinking. I think it would be a bit wider and less blocky if it was the center, as well as the obvious that you stated. Of course we could all be wrong here, but I hope not.

I still have high hopes, but the fact that Punk publicly stated that he doesn't care for the design doesn't really bode well.

I do believe it's a sideplate. What could be cool is if it's a "real" championship and the side plates have each logo. The bling, scratch, block and maybe the WWWF logo.

That would be great, to compliment its lineage and history.

I'd rather it have a 3D gold-plated mold of Pat Patterson's cock.

I don't care what the fucking thing looks like, even if it looks like the Hardcore Championship, just as long as the belts unite.

I'm fine with the "leaked" design. It's a clean looking championship. It says Champion. It's all it needs to be once it's colored and finished.

It's still gaudy looking though, if that is in fact the main plate. Who exactly does WWE hire to design these things? I mean, whoever designed the Tag Team Championship penny belts should've been black listed and never allowed to design so much as an 8-year old's birthday cake ever agayne.

What happened to the classy looking titles of old? The winged eagle belt, the Attitude Era championship belt and the Undisputed Title were all fucking beautiful.

I find the Punk's lack of enthusiasm for the new belt design disturbing.

The new belt should reflect a new era -- whatever the WWE decides that is.

Maybe they will go back to the old school 1930s-1940s small belts that are just glorified belt buckles.

I actually like it over the current title putting ur name on it will take from it since there's no name tag on this one. Its the W predominating the belt that makes it look Horrible. Maybe they shouldn't focus on the W.

yes ur right saying Champ went right along with Cena and children. I love Cena and I'm not upset that his biggest fan base are children. he's an excellent wrestler in my book. But Champ on the belt was just to kiddish in my book.
