Honestly cannot wait for this.
Also, in the trailer when Rick was telling everybody to stay close and to not wander off, my first thought was instantly that Carl is going to wander off. |
Carl, not even a prison can hold him.
If this story is continuous season to season, they're gunna have a Walt problem with Carl.
Yeah, noticed he seemed older in the trailer.
A lot of shows that run long but tell a condensed series of events tend to use kid's growth spurts to their advantage. I like to call it 'Hyper Aging'. It's one of those suspension of belief things we may have to deal with here. Falling Skies is seeing that right now, and already working in 'coming of age' sub-plots for the main boys.
That don't always work out. Ask the creators of Lost.
Loved how Fresh Prince of Bel Air lamp shaded it with a sudden introduction of a 6yo Nicky. In fact, that show pulled no punches addressing plot holes and cast changes out in the open.
Not available in my country, pricks.
Ok, found it elsewhere. Looking good.
Also ended up buying the first 99 issues of the comic series in digital format. Got quite a bit of reading ahead of me. |
Looks like it's shaping up to be another great series. Just reading through the comics and halfway through the prision story arc, cannot wait for this.
Yeah if they take just half of that saga, we're in for a ride.
And all hail Meryl! |
Okay that's got me pretty excited.
I actually can't wait to see how The Governor is portrayed.
Has anyone started a thread for the graphic novel? Would be good for us that have read the comics to talk about it without possibly having spoilers in the tv talk. |

T Dog got more screen time in that trailer than he did all last season.
T Dogg has been kept around so he can be gutted by Merle's spear hand.
The Governor's portrayal will stick close to the comics. Really close. Perhaps zombie daughter close.
Looks amazing. Hoping for More mid season action in season three.
I read Lori dies during a prison attack.
I really hope this happens. |
Quote:
Ya know this must not be far off from the truth. It was a running gag how many episodes would pass with T Dogg not even having 1 line in season 2. I was upset when he was spared over Dale that is for certain. At the end of the trailer and we see Merle...Mark out moment...and Now I know know why Blacky McDroppakey was left alone for so long. |
I don't want T-Dogg to die. :(
That 3-point-turn meme is enough for me to want him to survive. :D
Carl suddenly a lot taller.
Badass.
I hope Lori dies this season, might be the most celebrated death on TV.
lol T-Dogg just chillin at the very back like "you guys need me yet? No? Word."
Who is he standing next to?
T-Dogg is standing next to Carol (Sophia's Mom)
They are the furthest from the foreground and are thus obviously the least important and first to die.

I want to know why that crazy blade woman is carrying two zombies around with her. Character anticipation overload.

Anyone else think the blonde daughter is cute?
She aight.

SPOILER: show |
T-Dogg moving in on Daryls turf.
So the part of the clip with the helicopter and then they sceam mayday... does this suggest people can get randomly turned?
Don't think so.
That too.
Selling all my Walking Dead comics.
Check 'em out! http://www.ebay.com/itm/180963873314...84.m1555.l2649 |
Looks like the winner was $2.50 short of getting #16. Sucks for them.

One more fucking week!
I hope the next episode of the drops soon.
Huh?
Oops, next episode of the game I mean.
I have trouble missing entire words when I type. |
And it's out tomorrow. Nice.
Weekend marathon makes it all the better.
This season is going to be the best yet (comics FTW). Some twisted shit that is going to take place! |

I have not read the comics, so if this is what actually happens, I am not intentionally spoiling it. Just speculation on my part.
I put forth that nine months into Lori's pregnancy, Carl is gonna run off and so something stupid and get himself in danger (again). Rick will go off to save him (again), and Lori will be told to stay put. She will not listen (again), and try to go save Carl. This will then lead to another incident where she accidentally kills the baby inside of her. The baby will then turn into a zombie and chew its way out of her, and bust out and be all "OH YEAH" Would have huge ramifications. Not only would Lori be gone, but they would learn that even new life turns to zombies after they die. |
I already hate carl
Michonne!
Solid return. Prison scenes were fairly excellent. Kind lol'ed at the Grimes Gang not knowing what to do against SWAT zombies and just banging on their helmets.
The gag with Rick pulling off the one's helmet and taking his face with it was awesomely gross. |
Yeah that was wild.
Damn, Hershel. |
Daryl could do so much better than Carol
then again a living body is better than Carol |
Maggie's face after she stabs that SWAT zombie may be the sexiest thing of all time
oh shit yeah Carl's gonna rail Herschel's bird like daughter
on the other hand fuck Carl |
I swear they are going to do some twist where Rick is a immune or something, referring to the first episode where he "died"
Love that the show basically only uses the comic as an outline for the plot most of the time. Awesome to know where the show is going, but left wondering how it'll get there. Also, I just don't see...
SPOILER: show Also, this Quote:
I don't understand one thing.
Is this like a few months after last season? Cause they keep referring to how they did in the winter and shit. |
Seems like it, what with Herschel's beard and Lori being visibly pregnant now. Missed the first 20 minutes so if they explained it I didn't catch it
Boiiingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
Really liked how this episode was pretty low on dialogue and just filled with tension and action scenes. Seemed really "realistic" in terms of how it would be for them to enter a new, large, relatively untouched location.
I also liked how they kicked off the season with lots of zombie killing
and Hershel chopping
Why can't they just leave the nice old guys on the show alone? :(
That's what he gets for that massive cock block he laid down. Carl's life expectancy has plummeted, let the little dude get it while he can
Well in fairness allowing Glenn to rail Maggie has to be pretty tough, letting some wiener kid drill his other daughter would probably kill his soul
How old is the other daughter anyway?
prisoners... new humans to kill off in the development of the main characters!
sorry, but who walks over a zombie i the halllllll. I'd avoid them all day, every day. chop off every head I see
I'm guessing the other daughter's like 17?
Something like that. And I guess we're just supposed to run with Carl aging from like 10 to 12 in a few months
Quote:
Sure, he didn't get up after all, but why not chop his head off in the first place just to make sure, instead of risking getting jumped? |
wait so is Maggie only like 19 or something? because Glenn is really young
I seem to remember them saying she was 22 at some point last season. May have completely made that up though.
According to the Walking Dead wiki Maggie is 22 and Beth is 16
Also lol'ed at every one of the survivors, including Carol, being crack shots to put army snipers to shame. Carl headshotting zombies from a prison tower with a pistol. If Rick Grimes had been an army instructor, the zombie apocalypse would've ended in about 20 minutes.
That makes sense then I guess
and Lori shooting zombies with an even tinier pistol than Carl's through a hole in a chain link fence leads me to believe that they're all superheroes |
That would be a pretty neat swerve to the show. Superheroes vs Zombies.
I bet those fat cats in Hollywood would never do something that bold
but if they won't I will
Also, Glenn's super-strength.
Notice how smoothly he slowly puts the pipe through zombies' heads. Like a knife through butter. |
yeah, it's like he's shooting pool
Quote:
Also, Carl is more useful than T-Dog now.
Love how T-Dog is still only billed as a recurring cast member. We should have a pool on when he's going to get killed off.
T-Dog is unkillable
T-Dogg had more lines in last night's episode than he had through all of season 2.
Did anyone think it was a bit weird that little Carl was macking on that hot blonde and she liked it?
