The Hulkster.

VSG 07-26-2012 09:11 PM

Hulkamania's running wild all over the TPWW HoF, brother!

Ermaximus 07-26-2012 09:11 PM

Original Hogan vs. New Age Hogan. I see what you did there.

Lock Jaw 07-26-2012 09:17 PM

Just hand Hogan a free pass into the HoF, why don't you?

Can't see Cena winning this on the internet, where he is mostly hated.

I vote for Cena.

Keith 07-26-2012 09:18 PM

It wasn't a free pass to the HOF, to be fair. Hogan went up against Ultimate Warrior last round, and Warrior is beloved by a lot of fans.

86% sure that the internet was actually invented to complain about Hulk Hogan sooooo...

Cool King 07-26-2012 09:22 PM

Yeah, both aren't really liked that much on the internet.

Personally, I think Hogan is disliked more on the internet than Cena.

Lock Jaw 07-26-2012 09:24 PM

Nah, Cena is way more disliked than Hogan.

Some people still look at Hogan with nostalgia in their eyes.

Shisen Kopf 07-26-2012 09:39 PM

Hogan easily.

and some people see Cena isn't actually the anti-christ

Keith 07-26-2012 09:46 PM

In all reality, Cena is a better wrestler than Hogan ever was. He can actually go when he's in the ring with the right opponent. Whereas Hulk Hogan was such a shitty wrestler, that he relied on his opponents making him look good.

However, in the grand scheme of things, Hogan's importance to the wrestling industry as a whole is just too great.

TheFallenOneX 07-26-2012 09:54 PM

Hulk Hogan made professional wresting mainstream, his in ring ability is mediocre at best and Cena is probably the better wrestler, but you got to give Hogan his due even though he should have gotten out of the game 20 years ago

Crazy Nick 07-26-2012 09:57 PM

I have to give Hogan the nod, he is what made pro wrestling mainstream. Without him there would be no John Cena.

Tazz Dan 07-26-2012 10:00 PM

Hogan. Good draw though :y:

Malfeitor 07-26-2012 10:06 PM

Hogan.

Nicky Fives 07-26-2012 10:15 PM

Hogan is HOF bound.....

Emperor Smeat 07-26-2012 10:17 PM

Hogan.

Hogan's Hulkamania was a lot huger and bigger in the mainstream than Cena's Cenation even in terms of just the young fans.

Wrestling-wise, neither of them are really great but Hogan had better selling ability overall.

Promo-wise, very few wrestlers can match or even surpass Hogan's ability on the mic considering how well he had the crowd in his palm believing anything he said as a face or make them really hate him as a heel.

Cena does get some favorable status for not being anywhere near as bad Hogan was in the backstage with the politicking or refusing to allow others to be anywhere near his status as "top dog" which really hurt WCW in the long run.

mike adamle 07-26-2012 10:48 PM

Hogan is unquestionably more popular and a bigger name. But he's never done anything like Cena-Punk at Money In The Bank 2011. Voting Cena.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-26-2012 10:55 PM

Orange Skin > Orange Shirt.

I don't support Hogan winning but.... that is a pretty ridiculous statement, bro.

Yeah he's only beaten Sting, Andre the Giant and the Ultimate Warrior. It's been a cake walk for him.

Jeff Hardy was the only one that wasn't up to Hogan's level. You could call Jeff a cake walk, but not John Cena.

Lock Jaw 07-26-2012 11:00 PM

I meant in the final round guys, come on.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-26-2012 11:04 PM

Yeah, you're wrong there too. It's John Cena. The "Hogan" of this era.

balls and super balls

Supreme Olajuwon 07-27-2012 12:14 AM

Kinda gutted that Hogan is gonna be in the Best Wrestler showdown but Flair and Piper are not.

But if it's "what the people want"...

Lock Jaw 07-27-2012 12:16 AM

I represent the people, and it is not what we want.

Hogan is the greatest rassler ever. He put pro rasslin on the map. The only person who I would ever vote over Hogan would possibly be Stone Cold.

XCaliber 07-27-2012 12:44 AM

Hogan cuz his promos and matches are not so painful to watch compared to Cena despite being just as repetative.

Arashi Kage 07-27-2012 01:00 AM

Cena!! Whatcha gonna do when the Hulkster and TPWW's Hulkamaniacs run wild on you!!!

Hogan 4 TPWW HoF :y:

Kane Knight 07-27-2012 02:12 AM

Spoiler: Cena Wins

(My vote, that is)

KaosDarksol 07-27-2012 02:29 AM

Not voting for hogan ever so cena all the way

Corporate CockSnogger 07-27-2012 04:15 AM

Good matchup, both great but I'm going with Hogan because he should be in the hallf of fame.

Why? I agree Flair should be in, no question. But Hogan over Piper surely.

whiteyford 07-27-2012 04:57 AM

Cena because fuck Hogan. I like the nWo stuff and a few random matches but was honestly never a fan of Hogan.

Ruien 07-27-2012 07:38 AM

Cena. Hogan has more bad years than good years now.

Ermaximus 07-27-2012 08:51 AM

Could've been a worse opponent for Hogan. Juan, for the start of next round, can we have Del Rio vs Cara for shits and giggles?

Joesgonnakillyou 07-27-2012 09:04 AM

My two Cena peforms the same role as Hogan but better.

and I know this is not in anyone's else criteria but Hogan only ever cared about getting himself over. Cena's better in that way as well.

Touche, WM X8 slipped my mind. But at the same time, that was with The Rock. John Cena was doing this with CM Punk, just not on the level of The Rock and they had such a similar atmosphere. I feel like that says a lot about Cena, not just about the hometown crowd for Punk.

Just my personal opinion. I like Hogan but I like Piper more.

STOP REPRESSING ME TAZZ DAN

Rammsteinmad 07-27-2012 12:06 PM

Cena easily.

MoFo 07-27-2012 12:06 PM

Hogan b/c hes gave more memorable moments and matches, although that isn't Cena's fault for not having an era full of star names.

Hogan v Warrior >>>>> Cena v Punk

Yeah, it's not like Cena had matches with big names like The Rock, HBK or HHH.

Yeah I disagree about this though

Lavel 07-27-2012 01:46 PM

I had to go with Hogan. He was a huge draw and Cena doesn't come close to drawing the number of people Hogan did.

jskinnyg 07-27-2012 01:53 PM

Because Hogan deserves it, and Cena will get in there eventually... Not a big fan but cannot ignore the impact on the business for both of these guys...

Those matches wont go down in history like Hogan/Warrior, Hogan/Andre or Hogan/Savage though, not even close really.

Sepholio 07-27-2012 02:28 PM

I had to come here and have my part of Hogan going over Cena.

Curd 07-27-2012 03:27 PM

History is the booker, and Hogan beats pretty much every other pro wrestler due to his place in wrestling / sports entertainment history.

I was just asking a question, I WASN'T BEING A HATER

Tazz Dan 07-27-2012 06:55 PM

Also just realised that my full stop as opposed to a question mark made my question look more like a statement. My bad.

Darkone 07-28-2012 12:44 AM

The fact that hogan wins this, even with my vote, is more terrible than Taz winning, and I love Taz.

Ruien 07-28-2012 07:28 AM

Lol at people being mad Hogan is making it to the HoF. He is just some midcard wrestler that didn't accomplish much right?

Ruien 07-28-2012 07:28 AM

"BAH THE INTERNET FORUMS DON'T AGRE WITH MY HATRED WITH HOGAN. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG"

Gertner 07-28-2012 10:32 AM

About fucking time. Hogan is the greatest of all time, but you fat workrate virgins can't get past the bucket of lard in front of your faces.

whiteyford 07-28-2012 10:35 AM

He's no Bushwacker Luke that's for sure.

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2012 01:01 PM

As a whole, I've been entertained more by Cena over the years, and by quite some distance at that.

That's probably just because WWE does a PPV every month now. More chances for Cena to be entertaining in front of a television audience.

You must have some kind of template for your posts right? that's why they're always the same?

Yeah, ok i (reluctantly) see your point, one thing I will say is that it'll be interesting to see what moments of Cena's career are remembered. It's far too early to say at the moment

If it were a dice roll or a roullete wheel maybe, but Cena's still more consistent.

K.Smoke 07-29-2012 09:52 AM

Hogan of course

I don't think so. I was never really a big Hogan fan as a kid, even. I was a Warrior guy. Dunno. Never really got Hulk's appeal. I think the only time I REALLY wanted him to win was against Sgt. Slaughter because I love America.
