Hey, so remember that competition we did where we voted on who was the "better wrestler" 283 times? Well, it turns out that competition that started on February 11, 2008 (I know right? Holy shit bro!) was all just an elaborate nominations process so that we could find the best 16 wrestlers as voted on by you, the viewers. As of this evening, we finally have all our nominees. So now we will have those nominees face off to find out who YOU think is the BEST WRESTLER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The voting will be similar to the Better Wrestler series, except now it will be tournament style. When a wrestler wins his matchup, instead of moving on to face a new challenger the next round, we will have two new wrestlers competing. Once the first round of matchups is finished, we will bring the winners backs to face each other. We will continue on in such a manner until there is only one wrestler left standing. It's just like a tournament. It's so easy to understand, bros!

Taz is probably the most overrated wrestler in the history of professional wrestling.

Just some fat dude who just did some suplexes and had the good fortune of having Paul Heyman push him.

I voted for Savage, but lol.

Granted, it was good for him that Paul Heyman pushed him to the moon, but it worked and it takes two to tango and Taz pulled it off flawlessly.

It was ok in ECW, where it was more about brawling, breaking tables, in summary, "extreme".

Once he went to WWF and it was time to cut a promo and actually tell a story in the ring through a match, he was done.

That's debatable.

Well, anytime you deal with opinions, most of them are debatable.

Remember that horrible match Taz had in WWE? Yeah me either.

In saying that, I hated voting against Taz, loved his character in ECW. But it's hard to vote against the Macho King.

By that logic, everyone who got over in ECW was a big fish, Spike Dudley was a blue whale there. Yes I know its a mammal.

Juan did it, it was excellent, but he kinda ran out of teams.

In this golden era of tag team wrestling, there's no excuse.

I would've thought there'd be almost as many tag teams as there are single wrestlers to choose from. Most wrestlers have been in some sort of tag team, even if it was just two guys thrown together for a while. They could be used in earlier matchups for people. I don't know I'm just typing out loud.

Because back then he was still fresh in everybody's mind as the Human Suplex Machine, and ECW was still in fashion. In saying that, I'm still surprised he won his HOF bout.

Tazz does have a nice nostalgia factor to him. Just not enough for me to vote for him.

Remember when everybody would always type Taz(z) and they were legitimately pissed that he had two Z's?
