Never really a big fan of the Rock, especially as a face, and West Texas Rednecks top any of Rocks singing skits.

Seth82 08-14-2012 01:45 AM

gotta go with Curt Hennig.

Kane Knight 08-14-2012 01:51 AM

I'll support the Rock on this one. Not much of a reason, it came down to little more than a coing flip.

Wishbone 08-14-2012 01:51 AM

Rock got my vote just because I've got more memories of him.

Rammsteinmad 08-14-2012 01:52 AM

Voted The Rock but kinda regret it now.

Anybody Thrilla 08-14-2012 02:06 AM

As much as I enjoyed a lot of The Rock's work, I remember a period where I couldn't stand his tired shtick. Beyond that, I can't think of a single Rocky match that I think back to as a great one.

My vision of Mr. Perfect is probably a bit skewed, seeing as to how I was much younger upon my first recollection of him. That said, I hated him as a kid for all of the right reasons, and as the mark that I am today, I've enjoyed everything that I've gone back an re-watched since then. As far as matches, his classic with the Hitman at Summerslam 91 is pretty much enough to get him my vote in this particular showdown.

If he loses, though...I'll be much less than shocked.

Rock Bottom 08-14-2012 02:39 AM

hey guys i gotta go wit curt on this 1 the rock is good but hey he is not perfect .

Rock Bottom 08-14-2012 02:50 AM

if u notice the orders the photos were posted (assuming we are fololwing the rules of the second guy being announced being the one who is more over and better than the other) everything make sense

Rock Bottom 08-14-2012 02:53 AM

the rock is flying upwards to punch mr perfect in the balls

Tazz Dan 08-14-2012 03:11 AM

Going with Mr. Perfect here. One of the guys who was never a world champ but should have been.

Destor 08-14-2012 03:34 AM

I prefer Curts work but The Rock (who i despise,) was better. </3</3< p>

Road Warrior 08-14-2012 03:41 AM

Hennig is one of my all time favorites, but being completely objective in these things, which I try to do, I voted for The Rock.......damn it.

Nicky Fives 08-14-2012 05:38 AM

Rock turned his back on wrestling for a while...... Hennig wins....

That doesn't mean he's not a great performer though, It's not who the most loyal wrestler is

Hennig turned his back on his family by doing drugs.

SPOILER: show
Oh, snap!

Corporate CockSnogger 08-14-2012 09:33 AM

The Rock.

Ruien 08-14-2012 09:59 AM

The Rock. He was the second biggest reason the WWF was so popular in the Attitude Era. Perfect may be better in the ring but The Rock has him topped in every other catagory.

MoFo 08-14-2012 10:22 AM

OMFG TPWW WAT ARE YOU DOING

MoFo 08-14-2012 10:23 AM

The Rock was losing to this jobberoni before I voted wtf

Innovator 08-14-2012 10:37 AM

Inno puts Curt back in the lead!

XCaliber 08-14-2012 11:25 AM

Have to go with The Rock on this one even though Curt is the actual better in ring competitor he's still no match for The Great One overall.

jskinnyg 08-14-2012 11:31 AM

Never was a Hennig fan except the Mr. Perfect Gimmick... Rock was always spot on...

Krimzon7 08-14-2012 12:00 PM

The Rock. I love Mr. Perfect but this is THE ROCK

Emperor Smeat 08-14-2012 03:32 PM

The Rock.

In terms of wrestling skills, Mr Perfect beats him easily but in terms of overall package, felt the Rock was a bit better.

Keith 08-14-2012 03:35 PM

In the ring, The Rock sucks ass. Everytime he does The Sharpshooter I want to stick a fork in my thigh. He's terrible. Curt Hennig was much better than The Rock, and was actually underrated on the mic, he wasn't that bad.

And his "Mr Perfect" vignettes are classic.

But The Rock is THE ROCK. His overall impact on wrestling is just too great for me to vote for Curt.

CSL 08-14-2012 03:36 PM

Rock is not terrible at all, far from it. He's no Hennig but to call him terrible is a bit ridiculous

Keith 08-14-2012 03:40 PM

Whatever adjective you use, on whatever level of severity, he's not a great wrestler.

That was my point.

Juan 08-14-2012 04:01 PM

Define wrestler

MoFo 08-14-2012 04:38 PM

Never seen an awful Rock match, all his matches with Trips and Stone Cold are better than anything jobber Hennig did.

Anybody Thrilla 08-14-2012 04:42 PM

Stop trolling, bro.

Malfeitor 08-14-2012 04:46 PM

Love both, but Rocky has had more memorable matches and moments.

I'm talking about actual in-ring performance. Actual wrestling.

We all know he's one of the best ever on the mic and all that.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-14-2012 07:19 PM

What is actual wrestling? Is it the ability to chain a bunch of holds together or is it the ability to keep your audience entertained?

#1-norm-fan 08-14-2012 08:06 PM

Definitely going with Hennig for the fact that he was more well-rounded. He was closer to that Shawn Michaels type who was just great to amazing in every aspect while Rock was just REALLY charismatic and had a good look. Rock bored me a lot in the ring though. Hennig never did.

Unfortunately Rock's got the advantage of being more current and having more of a name which means certain doom in these polls.

The Rock also entertained more people. Seriously, even if he bored you, he was still the shit for a generation of wrestling fans. There's a reason he's more of a name, a reason he had more crossover appeal, a reason he got to where he got.

Not exactly an unfair advantage.

I think he's already answered this:

Seems to explain his perspective pretty well. I mean, I disagree, but that's not the point.

Keith 08-15-2012 12:39 AM

The Rock certainly keeps the audience entertained when he wrestles, but that's because he's got such a great persona, he's so charismatic, and he definitely knows how to play to the crowd.

I probably was too harsh by saying he sucks ass and is terrible. I was wrong in going that far. He's not terrible.

But he's not as good as Curt Hennig was, as it relates to actual wrestling.

Thing is, he was better than Hennig in everything else. So he got my vote.

KaosDarksol 08-15-2012 01:24 AM

Remember the rock a lot more so he got my vote

It's the same advantage Jericho had over Jake Roberts. I'm not saying Jericho shouldn't have won anyway. I was pretty torn either way. But the fact that it's 2012 and Jericho is currently still around being relevant and fresh in people's mind while Jake peaked about 21 years ago probably before most of the people voting even watched wrestling is definitely an advantage.

Kane Knight 08-15-2012 11:28 AM

And having crossover success, and being an internet darling....

Joesgonnakillyou 08-15-2012 12:18 PM

These polls are the greatest, every one has been awesome

Supreme Olajuwon 08-15-2012 12:24 PM

Nope. YOU'RE the greatest. These polls are just a close second.

Yes. Those are also both obvious advantages.

(P.S. Being an internet darling also kinda goes along with having your career exist... ya know... while the internet exists. Kinda goes along with what I already said.)

Not really, since one doesn't have to have an active, internet concurrent career to be an internet darling. You might as well be saying you have to have a WWE career for the internet to like you.

#1-norm-fan 08-15-2012 10:46 PM

Having an active internet concurrent career though does raise your ability to be an internet darling by a ridiculous amount. For example: Who is more of an internet darling at this very moment? Daniel Bryan or The Dynamite Kid?

Now tell me that has nothing to do with the fact that one has been out of the limelight for decades.

Skippord 08-16-2012 04:32 PM

The Rock because he won the big one

Rock Bottom 08-16-2012 10:03 PM

if people want to be retarded and vote against the rock for anyone but steve austin or hogan, get it out of the way now please. hennig was a great wrestler.

but please get it out of the way now because this is one of the reasons the world can be such a bad place

Rock Bottom 08-16-2012 10:05 PM

i guess you could stick michaels in there to block some rock votes without reddening my panties

man, also lol at austin and undertaker being a tie. why cant people just like the correct person
