What was the worst blade job ever?

The worst I saw was The Rock after getting the shit kicked out of him by HHH and friends.

Oddly enough I can't find a picture or a video of this event. I think it was in a cage during a promo. Remember that The Rock was bleeding everywhere, looked like he had literally sprung a leak.

DLVH84 08-22-2012 03:32 PM

I believe this match has the worst one ever.

Eddie Guerrero vs JBL from Judgment Day 2004.

Shisen Kopf 08-22-2012 03:46 PM

Austin at WM 13

MoFo 08-22-2012 03:50 PM

Has to be a Flair or Funk one somewhere.

That 17 yr old in ECW, Mass Transit or some shit, New Jack fucked him up.

Swiss Ultimate 08-22-2012 05:03 PM

Mass Transit actually died not too long go.

"worse" than anything I've seen from Brody, Flair, Muta, Abby etc and not counting the shit that goes on in death matches where guys have arteries severed in front of 150 idiots in a garden

CSL 08-22-2012 05:32 PM

note to self: don't wait 5 minutes to post it whilst watching linked videos on Youtube

Corporate CockSnogger 08-22-2012 05:37 PM

Joey Mercury in that ladder match. That guy was so cocky he used ladders instead of blades.

CSL 08-22-2012 05:38 PM

best Rocky impression ever, his eyes closed in about 0.8 seconds, like a magic trick

Xero 08-22-2012 06:48 PM

Rocky Dennis?

Malfeitor 08-22-2012 06:55 PM

My parents went to high school with Rocky Dennis. Apparently he lived three blocks away from where I live now.

I had to look up who Rocky Dennis was despite having seen Mask roughly 8,003 times :o

Curd 08-22-2012 11:00 PM

Although it was blading with cutting shears calibrated to the wrong length, without the trimmer guard, a nonetheless blade-induced blood letting was James Mitchell scalping Raven in TNA after Vampiro helped Shane Douglas pin him in a Hair vs. Hair Match.

Yeah, that was fucked up as well.

Indifferent Clox 08-23-2012 01:19 AM

there's this video where this dude keeps trying to blade over and over again. and he is like "did i get it," to the camera guy hahha...

Blade job Clox, this thread is about blade jobs.

Disturbed316 08-23-2012 05:33 AM

Saw this and thought of that Eddie one, he was just covered by the end of the match.

Theo Dious 08-23-2012 10:03 AM

What about that CZW match where the guy basically got eviscerated with a light tube?

Big Vic 08-23-2012 10:51 AM

you mean every CZW match?

Swiss Ultimate 08-23-2012 11:06 AM

CZW is home to people who want the reputation as being the guy who "had the worst blade job ever".

whiteyford 08-23-2012 11:27 AM

CZW is also home to some incredible spot monkeys that occasionaly fit in a match between them.

Instantly thought of Mass Transit or Muta, not sure of the match but isn't there a Muta Scale in his honour because of an epic blade job?

CSL 08-23-2012 11:40 AM

yeah, from a match against Hiroshi Hase in the early 90's. He looks great but it doesn't really touch the Eddie one

Rammsteinmad 08-23-2012 11:42 AM

If "worst" can mean shittiest, wasn't that Goldberg one at Summerslam 2003 caught on camera or something? Too lazy to check it out, but I'm sure Flair was caught right there in the middle of the screen, blading Goldberg's forehead.

Swiss Ultimate 08-23-2012 12:20 PM

I'll accept it, I'm more talking about "screw-up" anyways, like someone getting cut way too deep etc.

I can't believe nobody's brought up the time New Jack stabbed Gypsy Joe.

CSL 08-23-2012 12:37 PM

he didn't stab Gypsy Joe

CSL 08-23-2012 12:39 PM

and Eddie went way too deep with the above blade job, wound up in hospital because of shock/blood loss

I have to say also the second-worst bladejob was Dynamite Kid's, when the British Bulldogs fought Abdullah The Butcher and Tiger Jeet Singh, at least it was more discreet than the one on the Snuka/Albano match.

that's pretty hardcore

That Cena vs. JBL match embodies everything that we loved about WWE. A face that was a No Bullshit Badass and a Heel that we loved to hate. Both men put on an amazingly brutal match. This is when I was actually a fan of Cena. Not so much anymore.

Sixx 08-26-2012 05:41 AM

Rick Flair and Hogan always looked ridiculous after a blade job, mut it bight be a matter of their hair colour.

Gertner 08-26-2012 08:17 AM

Honestly thought Eddie was completely out of it at Judgment Day 2004. I remember being horrified watching it live thinking he wasn't going to kick out and fuck up the match. Didn't he take a few weeks off after that?

bigslimjj 08-26-2012 11:37 PM

Vince vs Taker Buried alive was one of the worst I've seen. It was streaming out of Vinnies head:

Razzamajazz 08-27-2012 12:19 AM

i remember an ecw show or 12 where tommy dreamer literally had blood spurting out his forehead

but i think the worst blade job ever would be when that one guy cut himself and didn't bleed. you know who i'm talking about

Couldn't believe Trips actually used a screwdriver in that match as a weapon but it opened up Nash something fierce.

Flair and Shawn were both known to blade way too deeply...I remember matches involving each man (not facing each other, as far as I can remember) where they both took on some serious "color". I remember a few of Flair's matches where it got so bad the blood was in his hair and everything. Kinda disgusting.

GD 08-29-2012 01:40 AM

I posted that match above. It was a steel cage match where Flair defended his Intercontinental strap against Twiple Aich.

...he has practically white hair. They all get blood in their hair, you just don't see it as much on others.

Was it a blade, or hardway?

Team Sheep 08-29-2012 01:56 PM

Reports coming out now that Punk bladed on Raw. That'll put WWE in a hard place and show them up for what hypocritical bastards they are if he faces no disciplinary action whatsoever due to being one of the top stars.

Is there an incident of a lower level star getting punished for blading that we can base this on? Can't really scream "hypocrite" if you don't know what the punishment should actually be.

Alright hypocrisy's the wrong word. Pretty obvious though that if anyone outside the main event pulled off a stunt like this they'd be gone or suspended in an instant. Even if Punk has been or will be found guilty, we'll never know that WWE knows.

There was one WCW PPV (I wanna say Spring Stampede 2000) durring a match between DDP vs Jeff Jarrett where there was an extremely stupid blade job. They're on the outside, DDP picks up Jarrett and atomic drops him onto the ring post. So Jarrett goes crotch first into the post and he blades..... Not exactly sure the psychology behind that one.
