Got the Prince of Persia complete pack and Natural Selection 2. Tempted by Hitman, but apparently it's a shoddy port.

I'm not really interested in buying anything that isn't a point and click game. Simcity, Command & Conquer etc. Anything else is just frustrating to me with a mouse and keyboard.

I think I've bought all the point and clicks I have any interest in on Steam.

Going to attempt to resist buying anything in this.

Dawn of War 2 Franchise Pack

Nothing today interests me, thank god.

Installed and started playing Mirror's Edge because it was the most intriguing, may be the best 5 bucks I spent.

That THQ collection is utterly ludicrous. Massive bargain.

Already got the Humble Bundle. Basically only got it for Saints Row The Third.

Just spent under £2.50 on two games. Prison Tycoon 3 and Ride! Carnival Tycoon. Starting to think I've bought all the strategy/sim style games. They need to get more.

I heard that Prison Tycoon one is pretty bad.

I remember reading one of the PT games was bad but I can't remember which. My main attraction to it was that it's a sort of RTS game and that's the only PC genre I actually enjoy.

Steam does need to add more of those types of games. I have bought pretty much every RTS game Steam has that my PC can run.

I kinda want to buy some extra copies of Blood Bowl in hopes that I would ever convince a large group of people to start a league, but every time I try to do shit like that people just make it difficult.

I already own the game, dammit. Not actually played Chaos edition though, only legendary, even though I have Chaos Edition.

Really tempted by Binary Domain. Supposed to be average in all areas except for the story and characters.

I mean Chaos is basically just DLC with three teams, two of which (I believe) don't exist in the table top version.

I tried to get a league started on FUMBBL (which is free to play on) but everyone fucking slacked and by the time I had it all set up everyone just dropped. Basically what happened when we tried to have the SFIV tournament on here...

But I'm not sure I'm going to buy anything in this sale. I think the only thing that I've been meaning to buy for a while is Bully (had been avoiding the PC port, but I've heard it's fine if you play it with a 360 controller). Honestly have too much of a backlog and I've already bought most of the recent games I wanted to play on release.

Still haven't bought Skyrim, but I'm not it any rush. I imagine it will still be more than I want it to be when it goes on sale. I will probably get a GOTY edition next year.

Just play it and it's not great. Graphics are pig ugly. Prison models look awful and they don't even open doors, they just pass through them.

No kind of tutorial and you get a game over instantly if you go dow to $0 or lower. No chance to take out a loan or regain some kind of profit. Not even a "You've got less than $1000" or "You've almost got a Game Over" warning.

How do I even make money from a prison? I only had enough money to build sleeping quarters (Why are there no cells? It's like a really bad summer camp) and a dining hall. No idea how I managed to hire the one guard I had. I think he came with the surveillance room.

I was considering They Bleed Pixels but I dunno if it may be too similar to Super Meat Boy. Also have spent way too much already and there are still many days left. FU Steam :'(

I bought it in the summer sale (since yeah, I'll admit it, I'm a huge fan of the Warhammer setting and background despite never having touched the tabletop games) but I just found it awfully confusing.

Might have to give it another go though.

I looked at a trailer for HMH and it looks like one of those XBLA indie games you buy for 80MSP and they last about 2 minutes.

I bought it too based on what Hasney said. Yet to play it.

Dark Souls is available for $26ish on Steam but for 15 bucks on Amazon. Is the shoddy port + cost of XBOX controller worth it? I know there is a good patch out there to take care of the resolution and most bugs.

The resolution is the only thing "shoddy" about it and as you said, there's already a fix for it. I think the multiplayer aspect works fine too now but I think I remember reading problems about it when it first came out. Almost any controller is fine. If you already have a 360 controller the wireless adapter is like $20.

So I dunno. If you still have to buy those add ons you might want to wait for it to drop a little but that might be a while

-edit- or I would have done, but I've now managed to lock myself out when trying to reset my password so I could use the Steam Mobile app. Bloody password reset e-mail has yet to appear and I can't even remember what the password is/was. :(

Got the Darksiders franchise for 66% off despite an advertisement of only 50% on Steam. I already have Darksiders 1 unclaimed from the Humble bundle. PM me if someone wants it.

This is the first Steam sale where I've not spent anything.

Considered it, but I got enough unplayed games that I can wait for it to drop to 75% off or similar price.

Blood Bowl is SUPER CONFUSING, and Cyanide did a shitty job with the tutorial. (I played the original release with 8 teams on PSP, and it hasn't changed much). However, it's got the game in all its glory in there. If you learn how to play the game, it's certainly the nicest looking way to play the game over the internet. And with 20 teams that all have their differences, and with loads of star players that have ridiculous abilities, it's a lot to take in. Fun when you get the hang of it though...wish I had more than a couple plays out of my tabletop copy.

Holy shit. Pretty sure it was a cock-up, but they had the 4-pack of Borderlands 2 at just over £6 too. That's fucking mental. Looks like that's what was destroying the servers as people have managed to grab it and sell them on.

Going to get Civ 5 - Gods and Kings while it's going cheap and I'm tempted to pick up Worms Revolution.

Worms Revolution is good, but more of the same. There is a little more customization this go around though, so there's that.

More of the same with Worms isn't necessarily a bad thing anyway.

Just got DOTA2

I got it for free with my alienware laptop, not sure why exactly but not complaining.

I've picked up Hotline Miami, Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion, Plants Vs Zombies, and Borderlands so far. Now only if I could purchase more time to play them along with AC 3, WWE 13, and Halo 4 on 360.

Finally got on the Steam bandwagon... now need to get money so I can get some games lol

Got Skyrim for 30. Now to see what good mods I can do to make it more fun than the 360 version.

Thar 25 dollars for the THQ pack right? I was considering buying Darksiders 1 and 2 for the 360 but if that is right I can spend less and get way more for my laptop.

I looked about a bit and it does seem to be getting a lot of praise. So, I bought the "war chest" deal which is all 3 of them for £3.75. Hoping it's as good as they say.

Just finished the install and I need to put in a CD Key. It gives the code but I'm not sure why I'd need a CD Key for Steam. I thought that was one of the perks of buying a game on Steam instead of on a CD.

Also, after one of the games finished installing, IE randomly opened two windows for Google. Not sure if it's connected to the installing or something else.

Nah, games that aren't built for Steam still need the old CD key. Hell, some more modern games that use Games for Windows Live or UPlay still need the CD Key too.

Steam keeps track of your keys, but you need to put it in for the first download. It's not really a CD key since there is no CD, it's just a key.

No games to 27 in less than 40 dollars.. I think imma be a busy person lol

Steam encore sale going on for next 2 days- this is it till Summer.
