ESPN's preview for the Northeast was pretty interesting since it teased to expect a lot more brawls and fighting than normal now that the Sabres and Canadiens added a lot of "tough" guys to go along with what the Bs have.

So the Penguins played a televised exhibition game last night. Split into a white team and a black team and played with themselves. So if you ever wanted to know what it looks like when a hockey team masturbates, there was your answer.

And, seriously, Penguins. They're unstoppable over a 4 month period.

Leafs deal Lombardi and waive Connolly.

I HATED Lombardi. Completely useless, terrible on face offs and didn't backcheck. Connolly just isn't what the team needs. They have a bit of a log jam at center, so he had to go. Too small and fragile.

Honestly thought he was going to mesh with Kessel.

Looks like Kadri, Frattin and Komarov are making the team. Really hope Holzer doesn't.

Colton Orr dropped John Scott tonight. Scott's first loss in the 4 years he's been in the league. Sick kidney punch.

Colton Orr and Shawn Thornton are the two best fighters in the NHL.

Shawn Thornton is the best technical fighter I've seen in years.

Orr is VERY hit or miss. He's gotten dropped a lot lately. I didn't have a lot of hope when I saw him fighting Scott.

For my money though, Brian McGratten is the best fighter in the league today.

Jared Boll is my favorite atm.

I'm certainly noticed more teams are carrying enforcers this year.

Patrick Bordeleau is a gigantic monster of a man. This is my contribution to the fighting discussion since I haven't ever seen him fight.

He's a very good fighter. He and Matt Kassian have had so good ones in the AHL. Definitely going to lighten the load for Cody McLeod.

I'm 70 percent sure he was going to fight someone on Saturday but Cody jumped in and fought Konopka before he had a chance.

Bordeleau is a bit out of Konopka's weight class. McLeod is a fairer fight.

I hope someone stabs Matt Cooke in the throat with a broken stick.

He's been keeping himself outof trouble lately. Kaleta on the other hand needs a beatdown.

He seemed more into fighting anyone on the ice since he was hyped up than anyone specific.

I've been anti-Bettman since he came into the NHL, however, Fehr is far more hated (by me).

I see them going for an elite defensemen before the playoffs by trading Hackett and some picks. They have a great top line, supporting cast and not only a great backstop but Probably one of the best backups in the league. A seasoned playoff defensemen would be great.

Trade to someone needing a goalie.

Blackhawks might not lose a game this year. Not with Marian the Barbarian Hossa playing like he bullies God for fun sometimes.

Jesus christ, saw the leafs islanders highlights. Scrivens is God awful. He should not be a NHL goaltender.

Give credit to Boll who is "only" 6"2 215 and fights guys 3-4 inches taller and 20 plus pounds heavier but man Bordeleau was swinging to knock Boll's head off.

Would love to see a McGratten vs Bordeleau fight because those two would be throwing bombs the entire fight. Somebody would get knocked out.

that guy who he fought really did hold firm, I was terrified that Bordy was going to tear something in his shoulder with how he was swinging.

I don't know what they were thinking starting Scrivens over Reimer this season. He's a backup right now, and he'll probably never be more. Reimer can be a number one, but he's been injured and fucked around with so much that he'll probably never be the player he could've been.

Been saying this for a while: Scrivens is not an NHL goaltender. Not even a back up. Would like to see the Leafs sign Brent Johnson to back up Reimer and give the occasional solid start when needed.

He always throws those looping right hands over the top because of his height and he throws to hurt. No defence there.

Interesting, I was wondering if he was just doing that since he was excited or something. He's a much better skater than I expected from what I had heard about him.

Trade Gardiner to Minnesota for Hackett or Kuemper. Money.

That was one of the best Blackhawk games i've ever seen last night. I just watched it this morning.
