HHH vs UT.

mike adamle 01-11-2013 09:51 PM

HHH vs. Taker, Punk-Bryan-Kane and Punk-Bryan from MITB are close behind though.

Curd 01-12-2013 12:05 AM

I voted Elimination Chamber due to entertaining shenanigans between Daniel Bryan and Big Show. DB was like Jack of beanstalk fame in the giant's castle when he cowered down in the pod away from Show's grasp!

Nicky Fives 01-12-2013 12:23 AM

I do not see anything close to Mania.....everything else is far behind its rearview mirror.....

VSG 01-12-2013 12:28 AM

I actually thought Extreme Rules was the best 3 hours of WWE the whole year, and without any fillers like Wrestlemania had.

Keith 01-12-2013 12:29 AM

True...but had the Brock Lesnar/John Cena match from Extreme Rules been in the poll, I would've had a tough time deciding.

Curd 01-12-2013 05:28 AM

Big Show: Fee fi fo fum! I smell Bryan Danielson!

MoFo 01-12-2013 09:15 AM

Trips/Taker wins in a not so close race with the TLC match.

drave 01-12-2013 09:43 AM

The TLC match was pretty damn good, but NOTHING holds up againt Taker v HHH.

the TLC match...

just to be a bit different

XCaliber 01-12-2013 02:40 PM

Undertaker/Triple H gets my vote it was in a league of it's own.

Emperor Smeat 01-12-2013 03:11 PM

Tough choice between Mania, MitB, and TLC but went with Shield vs Ryback/Hell No from TLC.

The Condor 01-12-2013 03:16 PM

TLC match had me into it from the very beginning and I enjoyed it more than the HIAC match with 'Taker-Trips. That one dripped with overdramatics and I just didn't care about two part-timers as much as I did about the new characters involved in the TLC match.

DAMN iNATOR 01-12-2013 04:25 PM

Taker v. Triple H, hands down.

THis is a good point, I'm moore inclined to look to the future than the past and given the raw materials, the tlc match was a grreat acheivement.

Fuck, anyone can make a classic with big names. The TLc match was a classic with rookies

CSL 01-13-2013 12:34 AM

Taker/Trips, Lesnar/Cena, Sheamus/DBD in that order

CSL 01-13-2013 12:40 AM

Undertaker vs. Triple H in the cell was on another level/scale to anything else in wrestling this year, on PPV, on TV, in any company. It was pretty much the perfect professional wrestling match, the setting, the participants, the history, the story, the style, the pacing etc. One of the only times I've ever watched a pro wrestling match in complete awe.

Poit 01-13-2013 01:55 AM

Hell in a Cell: Sheamus vs. Big Show

Well said. It presented a story within a story.

James Steele 01-13-2013 05:04 AM

Do I need to even tell you what I voted for?

SNLfunnyguy 01-13-2013 11:19 AM

No Rock vs Cena?

Wehttam 01-13-2013 11:30 AM

well seeing as there is only one per ppv, and hhh/taker took up wrestlemania... maybe you should just learn how to read.

mike adamle 01-14-2013 08:06 AM

Why did you bring up the Extreme Rules forum that had nothing to do with Rock vs. Cena?

Schlomey 01-14-2013 08:42 AM

Maybe he read Brock vs Cena?

mike adamle 01-14-2013 08:46 AM

Seems real quick to jump on someone's case only to spout out the wrong information

Schlomey 01-14-2013 08:51 AM

Agreed. Juan can be a hothead I've heard.

mike adamle 01-14-2013 08:52 AM

I've heard he can be a real beaner buttfucker

Schlomey 01-14-2013 08:56 AM

I've also heard that he is a "insert homophobic slur" "insert racial slur" but I refuse to go that low.

mike adamle 01-14-2013 10:36 AM

Fence fairy or Mexican Molester work.

Schlomey 01-14-2013 10:40 AM

:naughty::naughty: Just ask Shisen

I don't say such things unless I know them as fact.

Juan 01-14-2013 03:46 PM

Hey mike adamle, how about you shut the fuck up? Posting a link does not = "jumping on someone's case"

mike adamle 01-14-2013 03:49 PM

wahhhhh

Schlomey 01-14-2013 03:50 PM

To chance getting things back on track:

I voted for HHH vs Undertaker. I'm not 100% sure it was a better match than Ryback and Hell No vs Sheild but the ending with HHH, HBK and Taker all standing tall together was immense. A moment frozen in time not seen since 2004 when Flair waved his goodbye..I found that even more powerful than HBK's retirement.

So I'm torn between the 2 matches. An unforgettable "goodbye" match or a match with some rookies with hopfully long careers impressing the world in their debut....gah.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-14-2013 03:55 PM

mike adamle, I highly suggest you forge your own path rather than just copy the work of posters who've come before you.

mike adamle 01-14-2013 03:57 PM

I clearly contributed to the thread before I started trolling, post #3!

Schlomey 01-14-2013 04:04 PM

After reviewing the list and re-watching several of the matches I'd have to say that while the undercard of 2012 PPV's were lacking most months these main events were partially incredible.

Savio 01-14-2013 04:24 PM

come on guys Punk/Cena only has 1 vote!?

Really was a good year for big time matches. The worst 2 matches on that list (IMO) are Big Show-Sheamus and HHH-Lesnar, and I loved both of those.

mike adamle 01-14-2013 04:32 PM

I can't wait for the rumble this year. Both the rumble match and Punk-Rock. The show could be comparable to Royal Rumble 2000 that had the awesome WWF Title street fight and the royal rumble match on it. Should be real fun.

Schlomey 01-14-2013 04:44 PM

I'm more pumped for this Rumble than any other year. Barring Mania attractions the RR is my favorite hour of wrestling of the year...even the years its not so great (like last year..I'm looking at you King, Booker & Cole).

I'll help you out: the cell match was much better than the TLC match. Rollins and Ambrose are in their current position in their careers because they're striving to one day be able to even sniff being involved in a match of that magnitude.

mike adamle 01-15-2013 04:56 PM

Yeah TLC was awesome, but wasn't on par with the classic HIAC. Just the environment and feel of that match brought more than what the TLC match brought, not a knock to that match, but come on. Two legends in Hell In A Cell versus a bunch of rookies trying to make their name.

Schlomey 01-15-2013 05:20 PM

But everyone expected the HIAC match to be awesome and emotional. I don't remember reading quite the love for the TLC match.

A true "making lemonade out of lemons" moment for the WWE .

mike adamle 01-15-2013 05:23 PM

You didn't know who was in the match, I've watched Seth and Ambrose from the indys so I expected what I saw.

Schlomey 01-15-2013 05:58 PM

No. I had somewhat of an idea but nobody really knew what to expect. And very few thought they were going to get the win. Most importantly they took a match that was never supposed to happen and created a "WM Moment" when it wasn't even Wrestlemania. Better match? Probably not but it is def. still worth discussing.

mike adamle 01-15-2013 08:39 PM

Not when the discussion is match of the year though.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-16-2013 12:01 AM

Saying the TLC match was better than the HIAC match is like saying Super Troopers was a better movie than Goodfellas. Yeah it was fun, but come on. The other thing had substance, it had staying power. It was special.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-16-2013 12:03 AM

we need to have a reality check right meow

Schlomey 01-16-2013 08:49 AM

Well good thing at the academy awards there are categories of bests. But when it comes to the final award for best picture of course the answer is hhh vs taker.

Schlomey 01-16-2013 08:50 AM

Just trying my best to open the channel for some actual dialog, conversation and debate....

Tired of the trolly faces and na na na na booboo responses to unlinked answers so was trying something new. :)

mike adamle 01-16-2013 08:54 AM

Yep, everybody else is a troll

Schlomey 01-16-2013 08:55 AM

Never said that. The trolls know who they are. I was actually enjoying our back and forth, mr. Adamle.

mike adamle 01-16-2013 10:51 AM

Well now it's been ruined by you accusing me of being a troll :'(

Schlomey 01-16-2013 10:57 AM

Maybe you are now but I totally wasn't saying that.
I meant elsewhere in the W-Forum, obviously.

mike adamle 01-16-2013 10:59 AM

I accept your apology

I agree HHH hitting the Undertaker with a chair for 5 minutes does not equal match of the year.

Schlomey 01-16-2013 03:14 PM

As of this posting at least 7 people think that the TLC match was better than the HIAC match. Facts.

Schlomey 01-16-2013 03:15 PM

Granted 1 of them was Mongo Lloyd.

CSL 01-16-2013 03:17 PM

yup, that match was only 5 minutes long

Schlomey 01-16-2013 08:09 PM

No there was 4 minutes of hhh yelling " end it Shawn or I will" over and over you forgot about.

mike adamle 01-16-2013 09:51 PM

And now if you're gonna bring out negatives from the HHH-Taker HIAC why bother even coming onto the wrestling forum? It was the best match of the year, by far, if you couldn't enjoy it you obviously can't enjoy wrestling anymore. And are likely a huge faggot.

Schlomey 01-16-2013 10:15 PM

Lol I voted for it so luckily I'm not a huge faggot. Now mongo Lloyd ...you'll have to ask him directly.

Savio 01-16-2013 11:12 PM

No there were just better matches this year

Arrogance 01-24-2013 08:03 PM

I wouldn't call the TLC match the best WRESTLING match, but it was definitely something to fucking see.

Trips/Taker, easy.

Triple H vs Undertaker wasn't a "wrestling" match either, it was more of a soap opera with a chair as the co-star.

I voted for it but I'm being honest....

That's fair enough. :y:

Bad News Gertner 01-26-2013 12:05 PM

CM Punk's matches are so memorable not one has over 3 votes.

LEGENDARY TITLE REIGN!!!

Anybody Thrilla 01-27-2013 03:29 PM

For some reason, I couldn't not vote for Sheamus v. Bryan at Extreme Rules. I just really loved the shit out of that match. For as upset as I was at the 18 second match at Wrestlemania, that really tied it all together quite nicely.
