D-Lo Brown was the big swerve/reveal as "Vice President of Aces & Eights".

Yeah that's been rumored for a while, not really sure if anyone cares about D-Lo anymore though.

i kind of like the fact it is d-lo make them all midcards thats why the only belt they have is the tv belt, hate that they are feuding with the main everners like angle though. i say better d-lo then jeff jerret and eric bishoff and hogan.

Fat D-Lo was indeed a "shocker", but it isn't one that will help me keep watching this feud that is more drawn out than Mae Young's vagina.

It's a shame really, the plot points make sense (Al Snow taken out do that D'Lo gets the spot in the Gut Check panel alongside Taz to ensure that Wes Brisco gets his contract and setup the turn on Angle) but the payoff - if that is the final payoff - is kinda weak.

And instead of "DAMN" it'll be "SHAM" or something.....referencing the fact that they never get title shots is a "SHAM".

The whole thing will be legit parody at that.

Started off weak to begin with in my opinion, it was kind of a milk toast, bland sort of invasion angle. Never got into it, and as its progressed its gotten worse. TNA was pretty damn entertaining about 2 years ago, perhaps in an unintentional way, but I can't get into it lately at all.

Kurt Angle has had some classics at Lockdown the last few years. This is make or break for Wes Brisco.

I haven't liked the Aces & 8's story at all. They are booked weak and made to look like idiots really. I love Doc, Wes Brisco, and Mr. Anderson but they just look stupid in this stable.

Eric young will turn on team Tna at lock down since that makes even less sense

Can't see how this is a "swerve"... some of us called this months ago. The shape of D-Lo's head gave it away while people were trying to un-edit the voice (when EVERYONE was still masked) and saying it was anyone from Bischoff to Jeff Jarrett to Dixie Carter as the disguised talker.

The fact that D-Lo Brown is the "OMG!!1 HE'S IN ACES AND EIGHTS TOO!!!" in 2013 is ridiculous.

At least it wasn't another appearance of Fat Chris Harris. I prefer D-Lo to this.

i never got to see him in roh, but they and angle must be high on wes giving him a one on one with angle at a big ppv, if wes does good that could be the best match of the ppv.

I'm really not into the Aces & Eights angle at all, but it seems like it's been solid enough booking. It just doesn't sizzle. Kurt Angle should beat Wes Brisco in what will hopefully be a star-making performance for the young man and Aces & Eights should probably get the win against the face team. People expect some sort of betrayal, but TNA should just take a play from the WWE's book and have its heel group just work better together and beat the mismatched faces.

So long as Impact! Wrestling doesn't book A&E to job to Hogan in a cage match or the like.

And whenever Jesse Sorensen returns, he could swerve the marks by tossing aside the normal babyface status of someone returning from such a horrendous injury and join A&E much like Buff Bagwell did with the nWo when returning from his neck injury.

FINALLY the long awaited, yet predictable, bully ray turn happened tonight. Ill give tna credit... they waited longer than I thought to turn him.

The Bully Ray heel turn sounds really predictable, but Ray is such a good heel that it's probably the smartest move they could do with him. "Let the stupid bitch cry!"

Ray should put Hardy through a table and put him on the shelf for a few weeks to give Hardy some time off (keeps him fresh and in good spirits) and builds heat for heel Ray.

They're building to D'Lo Brown vs. Kurt Angle it seems. A battle between former Euro-Continental Champions.

It is late, but I wonder if they could make that part of D'Lo's gimmick -- a dude who just never got his chance.

D-Lo hasn't wrestled in 3 years, and it isn't like people were dying to see D-Lo Brown make a return. His return to WWE fizzled out completely and he struck out in ROH.

Fun Fact: D-Lo Brown and William Regal are tied for most reigns as WWF European Champion with both men having 4 reigns.

WWE really missed the boat in not having Wade Barrett or Antonio Cesaro replace the U.S. or I.C. title with the European Championship.

William Regal is probably my favourite wrestler ever. Love that man.

Based off of his girth of his skull and the skin tight nature of his polo shirt on IMPACT, I'd say no.

I dunno -- I'd like to think that TNA wouldn't be putting D'Lo back on TV if they didn't feel he had something to deliver. It really wouldn't surprise me though...

If the WWE attempts to do that Harlem Shake bullshit at WrestleMania, I hope that it starts with Santino Marella, Brodus Clay & Tensai coming out to do it, only for 3MB to crash the party as party-pooping heels do. They get their asses kicked and then they do the Shake, but then William Regal's music hits and he comes out in a nice suit and looks absolutely disgusted with everyone...then he starts funking the fuck out as only Mr. Regal can.

Not gonna lie, it could have been a lot worse (so I guess it would be consider a "win" by TNA standards)

Oddly enough, Matt Hardy has the 2nd longest reign as European Champion at 125 days. British Bulldog is #1 with 206 days as champion. Triple H and X-Pac are tied for 3rd with 120 day reigns.

Chris Jericho has the shortest reign at 1 day with Crash Holly having the 2nd shortest reign at 2 days. Jericho lost it to Eddie Guerrero the night after winning it at WrestleMania 2000. Crash Holly won it from Regal at Rebellion 2000 but lost it back to him the following RAW.

What could D'lo Brown possibly deliver as a main character?

He didn't deliver in 1998, he's not gonna deliver in 2013.

Yes, but its been 13 years and I can't take him seriously being a focal point of a "major" promotion.

I also think that the WWE would be able to pull off a British PPV a lot better in today's day and age. Back when the WWE did their British PPVs, they kind of felt like filler. Wade Barrett challenging for the WWE Championship at a British PPV could be kind of huge.

I agree that having D'Lo revealed as a masked man is a bit much in 2013, but his involvement in the Aces & Eights makes sense from a bitter veteran point of view. And from that point of view I think I could actually really get into D'Lo Brown vs. Kurt Angle, even if I feel that Angle should be working with guys that have a future. But maybe they are good friends or something, and Angle specifically wants to work with D'Lo?

Also: Does anyone think that Santino will one day get a serious run in the WWE? I'm not saying he should -- his comedic character is pretty much perfect for where it is and adds something very valuable to WWE programming. But could a heel Santino going for glory work?

I'm talking about as one of the 12 main PPVs. The name and logo were cool.

This is why guys go to TNA, actually (aside from an easier schedule). If Kurt was in WWE and went to Vince and was like "I'd like to work with D'lo Fucking Brown", Vince would go apeshit.

Fucking hell Regal is brilliant. It's a shame he only has himself to blame for fucking up his 2008 push, but the man has such worth as an on-air character. I really enjoyed that they sort of showed him hanging out with Sheamus towards the end of Sheamus' World Title run.

In fact, I'd be all for Sheamus & Regal winning the Tag Team Titles off Team Hell No. If just so that Sheamus could point out that he's taken every single championship Daniel Bryan has ever won off him. Also, Bryan and Regal interacting would be gold. Regal is apparently working the England tour the WWE has planned sometime after Mania. Would love to see him team with Sheamus for it, since it feels like Sheamus' immediate role in main event matters is over and he's doing some time working on the outskirts a bit.

No. There is a reason why back in the day guys would fight tooth and nail to protect their character. There is a line you cross where there is no going back and fixing what "damage" is being done. Besides, Santino will have a job a hell of a lot longer and make more money doing what he's been doing than trying to make it as a serious singles wrestler. That boat sailed when "Santina" went on for more than a month.

They could do that too. I'd be for it if there was a point to rebelling.

As I said, I recognise that Santino's in a very valuable spot right now and I don't think it should change.

On the flip-side, do you think that a comedic push for Marella could ever work? Even if just for one episode. I'm imagining a heel WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Santino Marella established in an opening segment, with Marella training throughout the night and John Cena even giving Marella advice and that sort of thing.

Do you think that enough people would get on board with that to stay tuned?

It does make sense. Bully Ray got fucked over by Hogan, so he gets in good with his daughter and works his way into some power in TNA. The big question is where does Brooke Hogan fall into all this. Are they going to do it ala Stephanie/Triple H and they "take over" TNA from her father or will it be a deal where Bully Ray keeps finding ways to delay the divorce/annulment and Bully uses that to get what he wants. Or maybe TNA does something different entirely. Either way, I want the Hogans off my TV. At least it wasn't Eric Bischoff.

If we get Bully Ray vs Hogan or some match with divorce on the line, TNA is going to totally rip off the finish to Armageddon 99.

FYI: That entire angle doesn't get enough respect for its brilliance.

It tied all the loose ends to the year's angles and launched a new era in WWF. Vince being the Higher Power, being behind Stephanie being abducted and everything, then Vince & Shane being dicks to Steph's boyfriends...Steph falls in love with The Game (can't blame her) and they do the whole wedding ploy just to get back at Vince. Brilliant.

Also, it is a good match in its own right. Classic Vince brawl.

I enjoyed it. Kinda saw it coming ever since Devon was revealed though. That said, he's the right man for the job. No-one on that roster can cut a heel promo like Bully. Loved it when he was going "Let the bitch cry Devon".

Match was nothing to write home about. The sit-down powerbomb from the top rope was nice though.

This Turn helps a bit, but TNA should have been at this stage MONTHS ago though.

Was about to purchase tickets with my brother to go watch, but the seating chart made him think otherwise.
