Considering the entirety of SR3 could have been a DLC pack for SR2...Not shocking. They will probably trim more out for bonus packs and shit, too.

* According to Volition they were actually working on two new Saints Row games before THQ went under although they deny that Saints Row IV is heavily influenced from the "Enter the Dominatrix" DLC pack for Saints Row 3.

* Weapons can be customizable to go along with the upgrade system for weapons. Activities have been tweaked to now award medals based on performance and not based on levels like previous games. The new city/world is about the same size as Steelport.

Kinda torn on this, I know I'll buy it, just not sure if I'll preorder it and get the season pass if that's available, because as much as I'll bitch I'll end up getting the content dlc, or wait and get the complete edition down the line. As much as I bitched about 3s dlc I think the problem there was that I'd levelled up as I'd completed the game so there wasn't much of a challenge at that point, for all its flaws I did enjoy it, just think it was akin to Fable 3 where you knew it could've been better.

I'm still looking forward to GTA V more. This looks like the Saints Row equivilent to Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Yeah, it has a handful of new things in it but it seems a little too close to SR3 but with super powers. Understandable as it started as SR3 DLC. Now that it's a stand alone game, I'd have prefered an entirely new setting.
Unless it's sold at a low price and not the usual £40 - £50 new games go for.

For those in Australia and want the game, the Australian version will be missing the ability to play co-op with international people and a single optional mission that revolves around alien narcotics.

Deep Silver states the reason for both is due to how different the Australian ratings board is compared to other boards.

Saints Row was going for £30-35 on amazon last month, feel like GTA will be the bigger game in terms of scope but I dunno, just hasn't been screaming day one purchase for me, I'll get it though.

It's sounding amazing to me. From the screens, videos and info I've heard/seen, it's reaching a point that I didn't think they could or would do the stuff they seem to be doing.
Not to mention multiplayer is called GTA Online and is supposedly going to be huge and looks like it might actually be a GTA MMO.

As awesome as SR3 was and as equally as awesome as SR4 looks, I don't think it can compete. One looks like a Big Mac, the other looks like steak with triple chocolate gatau for dessert.

SR3 for me was like Fable 3, it was spoiled by how much better it could of been than it actually was, but like an abused spouse I can't help coming back for more.

I think Saints Row will get arsed in a few weeks though, as fun as they all were once you got into the storyline you whored through it, GTA should be the meatier one but I do like my McDonalds.

I cancelled my pre-order after I read that the console versions are ropey. I have 3 on the PC and my computer can just about run that, so I will probably just play through that again and wait for this to go cheap on console.

Likely is that way for consoles, probably has a harder time loading it.

Looking right now, and not finding much on Google about it. Might just be the game still needs a patch to adjust and balance things out.

Was only able to play a few missions, before having to return the game. Xbox decided to be a little bitch and everything was strange Matrix-likecoding in game, but the pause screen wasn't. Gave me a headache so I had to stop playing.
