Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I like the new suit. It fits the cloak and daggerish style of the winter soldier story.
Really pumped for this. The Winter Soldier arc is what got me back into comics hardcore, and it looks like so far, they are being true to the original story's roots and atmosphere. |

Most interesting concept art shows Cap - not in his SHIELD, Avengers, or WW2 suit - taking on Winter Soldier in what seems to be a large battle. Falcon can be seen in the background. It seems Cap will have a new version of his suit afterall, hopefully we get a better look soon.

A piece of the film's score plays in the background of the official site. Scores are usually made after and even during finishing cuts of a film. With that in mind, this movie must be pretty dreaded. Hardly the hero themes of First Avenger. Sounds cool.

Robert Redford in some interview spoiled something about his character a couple months back so I have avoided anything Robert Redford related. So I am reading some website about this trailer, and the fucking site mentioned it, and screwed me over. It wasn't full blown spoiler, but I was still kind of mad. Everything looks great so far. |

But the show taught us a lot more about SHIELD. We know about the two main training centers (Ops and Tech). We know they've been tracking 'supers' for decades. We know they have a thing for vertical take off vehicles. So on and so forth. |
So. regarding the character of the Winter Soldier...

Winter Soldier is Bucky Barnes. Moving on. And I dig that they're more protective of how things play out than the villain identity of one of the biggest comic arcs of modern Marvel. |
The spy thriller feel of the books is captured really well, going off these trailers. Still nothing of Crossbones though. Wonder if he's just a really minor villain who was given the name simply as a nod.
