I'm not hopeful - change in devs, no involvement from Paul Dini on the story front - let's hope they're not changes for the worse.
Doesn't look like the Silver Age set title that was being talked about a while ago though, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you feel. Storyline synopis seems to be this: "Eight of the best assassins in the world have come to Gotham City for one night, Christmas Eve of all nights, to kill the Bat." |

Will definitely wait till Christmas (and possible Steam sale) for reviews but I remain optimistic.

Over what, exactly? Switching devs and brand spin-offs (often called 'whoring out' but I don't think that's bad by default) is usually when you should be critical until playthroughs are seen and demos are played.

Over that the new devs are quite aware of the legacy of the first 2 games and they realize they better not fuck up.
Again, I am optimistic for the game but will be waiting to see how this is when it actually comes out. |
Kalyx, maybe some people just aren't gloomy gusses, and would rather hope for the best.

How'd that work out this gen overall?
I'd say for the HD whatever, this was a poor gen for gameplay. A lot of opportunities were missed or mishandled. I'm more hopeful on certain aspects, but you gotta vet that shit. |

Kalyx is right and wrong. No reason to not be pumped but do not go and buy them game before you see a little of a playthrough or read some reviews.

Awesome news, but will be cautious about it after the developer change. Saying that, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction was pretty great.

You guys, how great would a Batman game be if it was basically like the Arkham games but with Adam Wests Batman? Give it brighter colours and KAPOW popping up in the screen and with Adam West voicing Batman and a whole bunch of puns getting used and campy villains and The Joker with a moustache under his white face paint.

Adam West Bats wasn't terribly stealthy so I imagine a game for him being more of a beat-em-up with some timed puzzle solving for the ever present traps.
