Fucking hell, I miss Brian Kendrick. He was so fucking good on SmackDown. He fucked up his own shit, though, so there's no one to blame. It's just such a shame that he's probably too proud to return and be the amazing asset to the company that he could be.

The swagger, the cockiness, his "not a fuck was given" attitude, his bodyguard, his jackets, his ring style -- he was fucking perfect on SmackDown. I seriously marked when he made it into the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven 2008. It's hard to believe it was that long ago. I think that if he had kept his shit together, he'd have been a pretty good choice for Money in the Bank Winner at WrestleMania XXV. I actually think that it would have been perfect booking to have put Kendrick over in that Scramble Match, although I can understand why they didn't (he was untested at the time and doesn't really seem like a "company guy"), but the character using a steel chair to go nuts on everyone in the closing minute, getting disqualified constantly but then pinning someone with a few seconds left would have exposed a loophole in the match's structure, and Kendrick could have walked the line between insanity and genius to the WWE Championship.

Triple H would have been an angry dude and gone chasing, but Kendrick would have put Big Zeke up as a road block. Triple H and sledgehammer would have demolished Jackson and then it would have been Triple H vs. Kendrick without any interference, where Kendrick would try all his heel trickery but Triple H would overcome it all and win back the WWE Title. Kendrick being a wormy little dude and smallest WWE Champion in history would have been the point.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick are still the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all-time. It's a shame they lost the Tag Team Titles to Deuce N' Domino when they did, too. Those guys seemed too gimmick to hold the titles at the time. I remember they snubbed the idea of the 4-Way Ladder Match to have London & Kendrick dropping the titles to Deuce N' Domino and being quite pissed off. They probably should have kept the belts on London & Kendrick and had them move to RAW in the draft and then feud with Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch and have the Redneck Wrecking Crew take the titles off The Hooliganz with some shenanigans and provide them with new rivals.

Brain Kendrick's musician gimmick he had in TNA was pretty neat. I'd honestly be happy to see him back in the WWE at some point.

As for the question of the thread, I'm gonna assume you mean the top five in actuality and not our top 5 which is what some people have been posting I think. Anyway it's probably:

Ryback doesn't sell shit yet, and Henry never did. I won't even get started on Heath even being mentioned in this thread. This isn't your favorite guys Gertner it's who makes money for the company currently, and Cena and Punk like it or not are the top money makers in the WWE right now at least the top full time guys that make money.

Ryback has said like 10 words total since his debut. Judging his mic skills on that is like judging a woman's looks by just seeing her foot.

Ryback has already surpassed Punk. Punk just brings ratings down. Punk belongs in ROH where making money doesn't occur.

I like Punk but he should bulk up and have a beer.

He needs to gain 50 pounds and learn how to cut a promo.

He can cut a good promo but when I see him next to Taker, there was no doubt about the outcome of their rassle art at WM.

Slater is fantastic, it's just the politics in the company that are holding him back, because h clearly has the look, the tremendous mic skills and can out wrestle nearly everybody on the roster.

CM Punk sunk ratings into the 2.7. Every single Raw that Ryback has main evented has been in the 3's. He's way more over with the crowd and is on par with Punk in terms of promos. His workrate is also higher because his moves are more powerful. He basically has the crowd eating out of his hand and as soon as he gets an eye-catching t-shirt Ryback will be the next franchise player, while Punk will be fighting Kofi for the #1 contender spot for the IC Title where someone who just doesn't have it belongs.
