Shindig Jeff's Very Own Question Thread

remember when they had the Backlash PPV and it was just like Wrestlemania Jr. and sometimes it was even better that Wrestlemania and it had the swinging things on the set and that was really neato daddy-o? Did the taker ever go win all his matches? He should.

Rasslin' Fan 29 05-12-2013 09:26 AM

He lost at 2001 and had a draw in 2007. He really didn't wrestle at many Backlash shows.

Shindig Jeff 05-21-2013 11:43 AM

No, he's undefeated.

mike adamle 05-21-2013 12:29 PM

Nope, lost in 2001

Shindig Jeff 05-22-2013 12:33 AM

What wrestler had the finishing move of a punch?

did who if any had punch finisher? I think the Undertaker did when he was in WCW and was went callled by as Mean Mark. Right?>

yeah thats it. ANyone else?

Lavel 05-22-2013 03:19 AM

Ox Baker with the Heart Punch, Rocky Johnson with the Johnson Shuffle, Kerry Von Erich with the Discus Punch, and Shane McMahon with the Shane O' Shuffle.

Savio 05-22-2013 10:13 AM

the Heart Punch actually killed someone before too.

Tom Guycott 05-22-2013 11:23 AM

There was a period where William Regal was using a brass knucle loaded punch dubbed "The Power of the Punch" as his finish. That should count.

Also didn't heel Crush (when he was doing the whole hybrid bondage/ex con look) start using the Heart Punch instead of his Head Crush?

DrCrawford 05-22-2013 12:03 PM

Well, the obvious would be the Big Show

DaveBrawl 05-22-2013 02:28 PM

Let us not forget the great Swoll of the feared No Limit Soldiers and his devastating heart punch.

The Heart Punch and Ox Baker was blamed for killing two people.Alberto Torres in '71 and Ray Gunkel in '72.

Yeah he used it when he was with Mr. Fuji I think. He also used it while a part of the Nation of Domination and the Disciples of Apocalypse.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-22-2013 06:53 PM

Diesel's original finisher was a gloved punch.

Big Show's WMD.

Johnny B Badd's Kiss that Don't Miss.

TheFallenOneX 05-22-2013 07:23 PM

Barry Windham used the heart punch for a long time as well

Vastardikai 05-23-2013 04:19 AM

Stan Stasiak (sp?) also used the Heart Punch for a finish.

You mean THE MASSIVE SWOLL... wait, he actually wrestled? I only remember seeing him lumber down to the ring a couple times amid the wholely usleless and WCW wallet draining enterage of Master P.

Then again, I only remember them because of the West Texas Rednecks. Seriously, how many feuds were in WCW simply because people had different music preferences? WTR and No Limit, WTR and Filthy Animals, The Maestro and The Cat, 3 Count vs The Misfits- as in the band, not M.I.A., and anybody vs the goddamn KISS Demon (with or without ICP).

Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, punches.

"The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich's Tornado Punch.

To be fair, when I looked in this thread and asked asked that question, the video didn't load and I assumed it was footage of Undertaker in WCW using the move. Now that it did load up, I look like an asshole that didn't pay attention to the thread.

I'm pretty sure that during Vince McMahon vs. God, God had a religious gimmick going on. I could be wrong.

Shindig Jeff 06-05-2013 09:39 AM

What wrestler had the gimmick of a superhero?

I know that the wrestler known as the Hurricane and Arachnoman or summin in the WCW but who else? Who in history? Does Ultimate Warrior count coz he had a comic book and comic book people how superpowers like Garfield.

Did anyone ever have this gimmick?

Who had the gimmick of a construction worker or maintenance guy in the history of wrestling? I know of the Plumber guy in the WWF back in the day. Who else. Was there ever a janitor gimick or summin? U know?

mike adamle 06-06-2013 07:19 PM

The Sandman was a construction worker turned drunk, most people forget the construction worker part

"Plumber guy" = T.L. Hopper.

Also, Duke "The Dumpster" Drosse. How WWE thought the idea of a garbage man was going to be huge with the kids escapes me.

Shindig Jeff 06-07-2013 08:35 AM

Who had the gimmick of a sports person?

I know the WWF had that guy with the baseball uniform and a baseball on his face and his name was Something Nuckleballs. who else in history had a sports gimmick? Oh there was that hockey guy the Goon u know?

Ok seriously, you question auto racing's validity as a sport but skate right over lifting heavy things.
