mike adamle's **OFFICIAL** 5/19/13 WWE Extreme Rules thread starring Dtts and Team Gorm

Tomorrow night could very well be the biggest night in wrestling history. Most nights in wrestling are brutal, but tomorrow we're going to get a little EXTREME with EXTREME RULES!!!!

The main event will be "The Game," "The King Of Kings," "The Cerebral Assassin" Triple H taking on "The Hick" Brock Lesnar in a Steel Cage Death Match!!!

The Co Main Event will be beloved babyface John Cena defending his World Wrestling Entertainment belt against Ryberg in a Last Man Standing Match.

One I'm really looking forward to is Mark Henry getting his revenge on Sheamus for years of his ancestors being enslaved and whipped by Sheamus' family by facing him in a Strap Match!

Alberto Del Rio will take on Jack Swagger in an I Quit Death Match for #1 Contender of the Less Important World Title!

Randy Orton will face Big Show in an Extremely Boring Rules Match.

Team Hell No will defend the Tag Team copper against The Shield in a Texas Tornado Death Match!

Chris Jericho will face Fandango in a Death Match!

And last but not least Kofi Kingston will defend the Jamaican belt against Dean Ambrose in a US Title Death Match!

Also on the pre-show, miz and cody.

*THE RYBACK

Shisen Kopf 05-18-2013 06:23 PM

On my ipad, too lazy to make it big but yeah, you be right nigga!

Corporate CockSnogger 05-18-2013 06:24 PM

As the only main eventer in Team Gorm, I'm glad to have the headlining role in this thread.

mike adamle 05-18-2013 06:31 PM

You're welcome, bro :y:

mike adamle 05-18-2013 06:32 PM

But looking at that card, it's def not gonna be as good as last years show. Or the last few years, probably the weakest Extreme Rules card in recent memory.

Shisen Kopf 05-18-2013 06:44 PM

I hate this card. No ERAG match at all. Gay.

Heisenberg 05-18-2013 07:06 PM

Might as well drink piss during it to forget the absence of ERAG, fuckers can't book shit

Bad News Gertner 05-18-2013 07:39 PM

I wonder what role OCW will play in this

Bad News Gertner 05-18-2013 07:40 PM

Slowen Brown's gonna drool on the picture of the rassler he thinks will win

Mr. Nerfect 05-18-2013 09:17 PM

This will be a really solid PPV, I'm sure. My fantasy booking of the card will probably go entirely against what the WWE actually has planned, but I actually think that the opposite of what will likely happen in a lot of the matches should happen.

mike adamle 05-18-2013 09:19 PM

That is something.

Mr. Nerfect 05-18-2013 09:31 PM

Examples:

* The Miz will likely beat Cody Rhodes with the Figure Four since he's a returning babyface and Cody Rhodes doesn't have much going on. But what I would have happen is Damien Sandow help Cody Rhodes win, forcing The Miz to find some back-up for a tag team feud against Rhodes Scholars. That would strengthen the tag division a bit, and it'd give us another face team with enough credibility to take on The Shield when they win the Tag Titles. In a perfect world, it'd be a returning John Morrison, but there's also R-Truth with nothing going on. An Awesome Truth reunion might actually be a breath of fresh air for both men. R-Truth's persona clashing with Damien Sandow's would make for some interesting television.

* Randy Orton will probably beat Big Show in a meaningless match in his hometown, which will pop the crowd like crazy but ultimately mean nothing. I think this is a pretty good time to set up a new storyline for Orton. Recently Orton has had some battles with Antonio Cesaro. Why would Cesaro just let that rivalry die if he still feels he has something left to prove? Cesaro attacking Orton mid-match and putting him through a table or something could be development that could allow Cesaro to stand out as something more than just a foreign heel. A returning Christian attacking Orton could lead to some intrigue there, and heel Christian carries more credibility than a babyface Christian. Bray Wyatt could debut by destroying Orton in his hometown.

* The Shield are probably going to be WWE Tag Team Champions, but I wouldn't pull the trigger just yet. Once they win the titles, they've really only got Team Hell No to battle with. Dean Ambrose winning the US Title is the right way to go, but if The Shield all win titles at the same time it might be "overload" so to speak for casual fans. Work up to The Shield holding all the pieces. Reigns goes to Spear Daniel Bryan but Kane throws Rollins into the Spear. Kane then big boots Reigns into The No! Lock and Reigns has to submit to Bryan as Kane Chokeslams Rollins. The Shield regroup and then take the titles in a traditional tag team match at Payback and then move on to face The Miz & John Morrison or The Awesome Truth after they are finally done with Team Hell No.

* Alberto Del Rio will likely win the I Quit Match, since babyface wrestlers usually do and that would set up for Ziggler vs. Del Rio nicely. But maybe Del Rio will get more emotional investment as a face character if he is the one who loses at Extreme Rules? Let's say that Swagger manages to handcuff Del Rio to the ring ropes and beats him with a kendo stick. Zeb Colter gets on the mic and says "Beat him like a pinata, Jack!" Ricardo Rodriguez then enters the ring and pulls the kendo stick from Swagger's arms. Zeb Colter gets an evil smirk on his face and tells Swagger to get Ricardo. Swagger puts the Patriot Lock on Ricardo and seeing his best friend in pain is the only thing that can make Del Rio decide to throw the match. Swagger moves on to Ziggler, who plays the face temporarily for their rivalry, and Del Rio does something to move back into the title picture. Maybe he even moves away entirely and starts a feud with someone who makes fun of his "weakness" at Extreme Rules. Wade Barrett doesn't have anyone to feud with. Maybe Barrett vs. Del Rio for the IC Title would be a nice change for both men?

Eh.

mike adamle 05-18-2013 09:55 PM

I'd rather Jack Swagger try to shove a kendo stick up Alberto Del Rio's rectum to force him to quit instead.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-18-2013 10:04 PM

Too early to have a discussion about this. I haven't even decided what room I'll watch the PPV in yet.

Shisen Kopf 05-18-2013 10:09 PM

Jack Swagger should have JBL in his corner too. Those dirty Mexicans will do anything to win.

Droford 05-18-2013 10:26 PM

Is Ryback smart enough to use duct tape?

Droford 05-18-2013 10:29 PM

Maybe ryback will bust out a vat if crazy glue and glue Cena to the mat where he'll still be stuck tomorrow night on Raw.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-18-2013 10:29 PM

Use it? He can't even spell it.

Droford 05-18-2013 10:34 PM

Del Rio outsmarts swagger by only speaking Spanish. swagger is pissed and gets on the mic "speak English! Say it n English! Say I quit..."

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-18-2013 10:49 PM

It only counts if you say I Quit when you are in a move or about to be attacked. The Miz said "say I quit" 1000 times to Cena and they didn't end the match.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-18-2013 10:51 PM

Bed room with PC or Living room hooked up to a laptop/tv? Suggestions?

m still living in fantasy land where del Rio only speaks Spanish during the match nd thus could never say "I quit"

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 12:56 AM

Zeb Colter made a reference on SmackDown to Del Rio saying it in his native tongue if he wants. So I think Spanish would count.

Oh god damnit, this is exactly what's going to happen.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 06:41 AM

I hope this I quit match is better than the one John Cena and The Miz had.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 06:42 AM

I'm a little disappointed in the lack of stipulations this year. It's Extreme Rules, every match is supposed to be extreme. Unless they give them stips last minute Fandango-Jericho, Ambrose-Kingston, and Miz-Rhodes are all regular matches.

Shisen Kopf 05-19-2013 07:19 AM

It's gonna be gormless so let's hope the Team Gorm sign make sit on TV

mike adamle 05-19-2013 07:24 AM

I'm gonna cry myself to sleep if Team Gorm doesn't get on tv

Shouts to Kofi for this being the first time I remember his prematch picture not having his big ass cheesy smile on it.

Bad News Gertner 05-19-2013 12:46 PM

Team Gorm is gonna be famous tonight!!!!

mike adamle 05-19-2013 12:48 PM

As if we aren't already

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 01:01 PM

I'm not too sure about you lower ranked gormites, but as the main eventer of the stable, I'm certainly famous

I woulda been a 3 star poster by now if it wasn't for Owenbrown :(

Shisen Kopf 05-19-2013 01:28 PM

Anyway, doesn't matter about that really. I was a rajah legend and now I am the greatest poster ever at the tee pee dub dub.

MoFo 05-19-2013 01:31 PM

Shisen I don't know whether to tape this, should I tape this?

Bad News Gertner 05-19-2013 01:44 PM

Definite tape to see the Team Gorm sign

mike adamle 05-19-2013 04:34 PM

I'm hoping Big Show defeats Randy Orton tonight.

Emperor Smeat 05-19-2013 05:45 PM

Assuming Ryback loses tonight, what's the next logical step for him?

He'd have lost every big ppv match since the Punk feud and if the dirtsheets are correct, his feud with Cena wasn't planned to go beyond a single ppv match.

A US/IC feud would make sense but neither belt has any real status or "prestige" to benfit Ryback unless they rebuilt it along with Ryback's star potential again.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 06:49 PM

They'll probably have Ryback wrestle John Cena at the next three PPVs.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 06:50 PM

It really wouldn't surprise me to see a draw in the title match and the Steel Cage Match close the show.

Ermaximus 05-19-2013 06:58 PM

I guess I will join you all this evening. Until the main event anyways.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:01 PM

I really don't care for Cena vs. Ryback. Since his heel turn, all Ryback has really done is kind of look at Cena. He hit him with a chair in the leg once, but it kind of feels like he should be far more vicious. I've actually got no clue where I would go with Ryback. Maybe he'll move onto a feud with Sheamus? Seeing those two men beat the crap out of each other would be...well, boring, but I'm sure others might enjoy it.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:06 PM

They could have Cena hurt Ryback to need to beat him. Give Ryback some time off and really work out where you want that character to go. He sort of feels like he's in a similar (if far higher profile) spot as Jack Swagger was last year.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:07 PM

Could see Ryback winning the title and becoming a Paul Heyman Guy also, to be honest. Actually got no clue where they are going with him.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 07:08 PM

Maybe they'll have Sin Cara interfere in the Last Man Standing match, attacking both men leading to a draw and setting up a triple threat match at the next PPV.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:10 PM

I could definitely see them having Mark Henry do that. He lays out Cena and Ryback after losing to Sheamus, because "That's what I do!" Cena vs. Ryback vs. Henry vs. Sheamus at Payback.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:12 PM

I'm not really sure if I'm going to watch. I think I'm only really interested in seeing the two main events so dunno if its worth sitting through the rest for them.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:14 PM

I actually think a few characters currently featured on WWE TV could use a bit of a break. Just allow the guys to rest their bodies up and bring them back when needed. It's nothing to do with their performance and that sort of thing, but if it were a movie, I'd just feel it was time that they were "killed off." You have some acts that really have a lot of forward steam, but you have a few that are just hanging around because -- well, that's what they do.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:15 PM

I really want to see Chris Jericho vs. Fandango, Del Rio vs. Swagger, Dean Ambrose vs. Kingston and Hell No vs. The Shield.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:18 PM

I've got no clue what it is about Jericho vs. Fandango, but I really think they can tell a memorable story over the course of a few months. Jericho could realistically get a win back here and remind people that he is Chris fucking Jericho, but they should maybe do a "wheel spin" on the pre-show with Santino Marella and Mick Foley, which leads to some hardcore stipulation being named for Jericho vs. Fandango that bars disqualifications. Jericho gets Fandango in the Walls of Jericho but then Summer Rae attacks Jericho, breaking the hold and leaving Jericho open for Johnny Curtis to finish him off and get two straight PPV wins against Jericho.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:20 PM

Are the crowd still going mental for Fandango or is that all over now? I'm retired to strictly PPV-only viewing of WWE now.

Wishbone 05-19-2013 07:29 PM

Just a quick question gents, but the PPV starts in 30 minutes correct?

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:29 PM

They're not mental for him. The WWE tried to bottle that lightning and as a result all that is left is something the WWE tells us is a trend. People still "Fandango" in the crowd, but it's usually the sort of people that would buy John Cena t-shirts.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:30 PM

Yes, Wishbone, good sir.

Wishbone 05-19-2013 07:31 PM

Not sure why but I'm actually pretty hyped for tonight.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:32 PM

I've been digging Fandango as a character this week, though. He's a smart heel, which I like. When this whole fad with him started, he should have just talked about how late everyone is to the party and he has been Fandangoing for however long he has been alive. Give him an "it's about time" attitude about it, like of course he was going to be a sensation.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:34 PM

It will be a good show, I think. As I said earlier, I think the booking will be wheel-spinning, for the most part, and I think that will leave the show in "well, that was good, but nothing really happened" territory. The most satisfying outcomes will probably take place in the Steel Cage Match (since Brock and Triple H will probably destroy each other) and in some of the mid-card title changes.

Nicky Fives 05-19-2013 07:35 PM

Pre-show pretty good so far, but shouldn't Titus O'Neil be looking forward to the Tag Title Match.....

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:36 PM

Kingston vs. Ambrose will hopefully show us just what those guys can do. Ambrose might actually be one of the more memorable US Champions in WWE history, given just how interesting The Shield are. That will only do wonders for him.

Ermaximus 05-19-2013 07:38 PM

Honestly, just have Lesnar beat HHH and then run out and destroy Cena and Ryback.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 07:38 PM

I'm gonna feel real bad for Kofi if he loses tonight though. He's not even a transitional world champion, he's a transitional United States champion, how sad.

XL 05-19-2013 07:39 PM

Somebody PM/rep me a stream when this kicks off. Please.

slik 05-19-2013 07:39 PM

Glad they kept a similar pre-show set-up from Mania.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:40 PM

Totally forgot that Kofi Kingston beat Sheamus to become US Champion.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:42 PM

Wade Barrett is good.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:43 PM

Unless Ambrose talks during that match, or Roman Reigns is present, I'll probably go for a shit during the US title match.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:44 PM

Big Hoss Daddy Dave.

Cool King 05-19-2013 07:44 PM

Has the stream stopped for anyone else?

It seems to have stopped for me on YouTube. All I'm getting is silence and an image of the Facebook poll question and it's options.

XL 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

Pre-show doesn't seem to be working for me

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

Paul Heyman is such a good on-air character. The WWE should try to do everything they can to keep him involved in storylines.

Evil Vito 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, I need a stream either via PM or rep. My usual go-to site appears to be down. :(</font>

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

I really hope they do "Escape Only" rules for the Cage Match.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:46 PM

I'll also take a stream if anyone's got a good one.

slik 05-19-2013 07:46 PM

Yeah, the WWE Pre-Show quit working.

Ruh-Roh.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:47 PM

I would have loved it if Triple H had made a big deal of Lesnar destroying the World Heavyweight Title belt. That shit just ain't on.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:47 PM

My pre-show stream is working just fine. They're doing a Triple H/Lesnar recap now.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:48 PM

Here comes Cody!

Poit 05-19-2013 07:48 PM

"I've never felt more at home than when I'm in this ring, surrounded by cold, hard steel."

That seems indicative of some mental issues.

I think this has the potential to be an excellent B show.

Anyone else agree?

#1-norm-fan 05-19-2013 07:52 PM

Miz is a star. Cody is boring. Put over the guy with potential.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:52 PM
