Smackdown SPOILERS - May 31st edition
1 - Kane pinned Seth Rollins following a chokeslam
2 - Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan by DQ when Kane attacked Reigns. Team Hell No argued like bandits afterwards. *Damian Sandow came out to the ring. He challenged anyone in the back to test their mental capabilities to his. Sheamus came down to participate in Sandow's series of mental challenges. Sheamus ended up cheating and then gave him a Brogue Kick out of nowhere. Sheamus climbed the ropes and posed for the crowd. 3 - Ryback pinned Kofi Kingston in a short squash. Ryback drove an ambulance out and then walked to the ring. Kofi made a brief offense but was given a Shellshocked and pinned. Ryback powerbombed Kofi thru 3 tables. Paramedics came down and took Kofi away on a stretcher. No 'X' sign was thrown, so it's likely this was a work. 4 - Big E Langston pinned Alberto Del Rio when AJ Lee raked Del Rio's eyes, allowing Langston to hit his finisher. 5 - Curtis Axel pinned Sin Cara in a squash match. Axel used the Perfect-Plex to obtain the 3 count. *Backstage segment with Khali looking for Hornswoggle so he can help him find Kaitlyn's secret admirer. Hornswoggle ended up being in the men's restroom. Khali acted like the smell was so strong and he was going to pass out. 6 - Chris Jericho defeated Cody Rhodes by submission with the Walls of Jericho. 7 - Randy Orton defeated Dean Ambrose by DQ when The Shield interfered. Kane and Daniel Bryan ran down to make the save and chase The Shield off. Orton, Kane and Bryan raised their hands in the air and posed for the crowd to end the taping. |
Ry fucking back!

I love Sheamus' character right now.
People complain that his actions have been heelish lately. He's doing it against douchebag heels though. First he made Mark Henry look like a fool on multiple occasions. Kinda bullying the bully. Now he's making a mockery of Sandow being a stuck up asshole and "bullying" him. It makes Sheamus look like a badass and isn't typical paint-by-numbers face booking. I like it. |
yes but should I tape this?
Not a fan of ADR and Langston trading wins back and forth though. I've made it clear how I feel about guys being booked as main eventers losing too much. It's dumb. It should be a huge deal when one of your top guys loses a match.

Oh look, Shisen Kopf making the exact same joke he's made in every Smackdown spoilers thread for the last 10 years. Can't stop laughing!!!

Let's see what the main event is. Might have to tape over SummerSlam 2001.

Rock vs Booker T

Hmm. Any Smashmouth, Sugar Ray or Spice Girls videos on the pop-up video VHS?

Record over it only if Fandango or Chris Jericho is in the main event on Smackdown.

He's too busy listening to his faggy euro trash Daft Punk and their song "Juan more time"
Orton has never been us champ before has he? I think he's above it and wouldn't win it but a match with Ambrose at the ppv would be fresh...I still think it'll be Orton/sheamus for the tag belts though

Picked up a new tape at the dollar store today. Def gonna think about taping it.
Is it 6 or 8 hours on EP?
8 hours on EP. Go big or go home.
You should record this in SP. I know it's a lot to "waste" but for a mediocre investment like this Smackdown, you want the best quality possible.
Geri is disgusting, come on El Bobbo. It's all about Posh and Baby spice.
Mel C's my homegirl though. |
But how do you think Shisen should record Smackdown? SP or EP?
Yeah, let's get to serious business iginfest. Spice girls are so 1997. Videotaping rasslin is timeless.
One time I decided to record an "In Your House" on SP because it was only 2 hours long and I wanted it to be top quality. But then I got cocky and decided to record the Free For All as well forgetting that I was all set on SP. I learned a lesson when the tape cut off and started rewinding itself halfway through Diesel vs. Sid.
You let the VCR rewind it? Dude, not supposed to that. Gotta get a VCR rewinder. Don't want your VCR breaking.
I still refuse to tape over my November 1997 edition of Monday Nitro because of the epic Disorderly Conduct vs Steiner Brothers tag team bonanza!
Yeah that was a classic. Just a month before that in October. I went to the Saginaw civic cenTER to see a nitro. It was awesome. NWO did something and lex Luger over sold moves probably. We sat 4th row and even though we were underage we got bottle service. Bro.
I remember when my dad took me and my bro Alvin to a WWF Live event in like 96. I was 4 or 5, my bro was 10, and we were hooked up with bottle service all night bro. By the time the main event was up I was fist pumping SO HARD to Big Daddy Cool Diesel's theme.

Did that need to be NSFW'd?

Was just about to say SummerSlam 2001 is one of my favourite shows. Then realised it was actually the one from the year before.
Perfectplex for the win. And Axel holds the bridge pretty well too.

So odd to think it's rumored Rock-Lesnar could happen this year at SummerSlam as well.

SmackDown was pretty good. Curtis Axel is growing on me and The Shield continue to be awesome. Dean Ambrose made me care about a Randy Orton match. Daniel Bryan tearing it up at the end made me want to see Ambrose vs. Bryan for the US Title. It wouldn't seem to make much sense, but I wouldn't mind it if Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan for the US Title and Kane & Orton challenging The Shield happened at Payback. Bryan could complain that Kane teaming with Orton is a sign that he doesn't trust him to win the titles back.
Ryback putting Kofi Kingston through three tables was pretty intense. Is it weird that my initial thought was that I could see Kofi Kingston could return and take issue with Cena not being there to protect him? Since they've essentially said that regardless of the first two falls, the Ambulance Match will still happen, you could have Cena win the Lumberjack Match (after everyone gets a measure of revenge on Ryback and beats him up and tosses him to Cena), win the Tables Match (to officially retain the title) and then have it look like he's about to win the Ambulance Match when Kofi Kingston -- dressed as a paramedic -- attacks Cena and then tosses him in. A lot of people won't like Ryback losing so decisively, and I guess the moment would mean a lot more of Kofi cost Cena the WWE Title, but I kind of feel like Ryback shouldn't be champion. |
