E3 live stream night shows on Giant Bomb are some of my favorite gaming content all year. They start pretty late (10:00 PM PST), but they always have some crazy list of guests drinking and telling industry stories. Had some really awesome content last year with Ed Boon and David Jaffe.

I thought MGS5 looked great. Dead Rising 3 didn't look link Dead Rising (no goofiness that really is the only reason I love the series). Capy game looked alright, but I need to see more.
Don't care much about BF4 or Titanfall, but both showed well. Oh, and Killer Instinct looked ok, I guess. Visually looked nice, but I totally can't tell if it will be fun to play at all. But then again, it looked like a three character demo. |
But for $499, I probably won't buy in for a while, if at all. Most of the games I would want will probably come to PC eventually, and I'm so far behind in my gaming catalog that I should be able to wait.
My XBL Gold goes up in August, and I'm not convinced I'm paying for it anymore. |
These exclusives have me back on the fence for next gen system.
Dead Rising looked like a grittier departure from the others, but does maintain the core mechanics, so im okay with it. Killer Instinct? Nuff said. TitanFall looks plain sick. |

Battlefield 4 looks better than the PS4 Killzone already, but this is the PC version, so we're not sure what the gap is going to be like yet.

They will have to do a lot to convince me to play a Mirror's Edge sequel. Original suffered a lot when the action slowed down, and I really disliked any sections with any sort of combat. I'm sure it will be a better game though.

Was going to turn the Gametrailers feed off before David Cage makes me want to punch something, but an advert to The Final Bosman made me really happy so now I can survive him.

In an age where the internet tends to ruin reveals and what not, this E3 has been a refreshing one. Sure, we all knew of these games, but we didnt know what these games were looking like, played like, etc.
This E3 has made me a little less pessimistic about the next console generation. |
