Not sure I like Electro's look, but I'm definitely glad Spidey's costume looks right this time.

Not sure I like Foxx for Electro, so his look is kind of moot to me. Maybe he'll be good in it, but I doubt it.

Otherwise, looking forward to this.

Electro reminds me of Arnold's Mr. Freeze.

I expect some electricity puns. "I think you'll get a real charge out of this" etc

I feel while Mr. Freeze pushed it, most elemental or otherwise obviously themed heroes/villains often have some kind of pun to throw out. If Elector said that line I think he should be allowed to. At least 2 or 3 puns, let him have fun.

fun fact: I have an entire bit in my stand up act where I just do Mr. Freeze puns because it is hilarious

I don't mind the Rhino thing. It's not typical Rhino, but at least it looks relatively realistic. Granted it's only still pictures, but on everything I've seen of Electro, the CGI looks no better than a video game released 10 years ago.

Elektro looks cool, I like the glowy effect. I would have had Rhino in a bipedal mech but whatever, never cared for Rhino like that. I'm gonna assume the guy on the glider is Hob Goblin and not an Osborn.

Dunno, he looks like he has this huge forehead like the guy that plays Harry Osborn. Maybe they just skip the Norman Osborn as Green Goblin part.

So wait a minute. Was this a full reboot? I didn't bother with the Firs Amazing Spiderman as I just figured it was going to be awful, but I did think it was just a new Spiderman that we were supposed to take as being the same Spiderman.

I read a great deal since the trailer dropped. I'd tell you to check out the reactions personally but I rather not point you toward a landmine field. But trust that I didn't make a whole blog from you a three other other comments found online. And even before the trailer there was such a sentiment over the Spidey 3 matter. For many people, it certainly seems like "3 villains = bad".

I would have to disagree over the thematic similarities but that's not nearly as vexing as what the blog is about.

3 villains isn't necessarily bad, but Harry Osborn's hair sure is. Peter Parker's too.

X3 made the most money of the whole trilogy, too.

Guess that people expect a lot after you deliver two solid movies.

Yeah that's been a thing, but these third movies have had polarizing critical reception. While they do make money, the studio does take any issues into account.

They upgraded on writers between one and two. They saw some room for improvement.

I thought it was good, I also thought it was a 2 hour version of the first 30 minutes of the first Tobey movie.

First 30 minutes of the Tobey movie were better, though.

Very much a fan of the little I've seen of Dane Dehaan's Harry Osborne.

That trailer also reveals the experimental soundtrack Hans Zimmer is doing with other artists. Listening again, it does sound trippy.

Ugh I hate long trailers like this that pretty much gives away the whole movie. Rhino being a mech would have been an amazing surprise!

I know nothing of Spider-Man, but wasn't Norman the original GG? Now I'm confused. Still, looks good in the shot, but I always figured Harry's dad would be the first Goblin in the current films.

Norman was the original Goblin, yeah, but Harry was the second, so they're not too far off.

I actually rather like the new Goblin's look here. It gets the point across without being the Power Rangers mask that Willem DaFoe had.

They are mixing and matching ultimate and classic storylines a lot in all these movies.... in ultimates, the green goblin... was a goblin.

Spider-Man 2 is one of my favorite movies period. I'm not saying this has a chance to come close, but I'm keeping a very open mind as a childhood Spider-Man fanboy.

The Spider-Man costume aside, I don't really like the look of anyone in these Amazing Spider-Man films. Thought the Lizard looked shite, Electro looks shite, Rhino I actually don't mind that much, but Goblin looks shite too. Really not too interested in this set of the films.

Electro looks awesome. Rhino Mech is cool. Goblin is fine.

I'm one of the biggest champions of the first ASM. I think it's the best of the Spider Man movies. Of course I'll see this. Just saying I don't like the look.

I really enjoyed this film, but then was a massive fan of the first. I think this reboot captures perfectly the tragedy and comedy of Peter Parker's life. Like the different universe's in the comics, this one will appear more to some and some will think its meh. Personally I really like all the links they are weaving in the characters and the green goblin story and emergence is fascinating.
