In a world of terrible clotheslines, one man stands tall.

#BROKEN Hasney 08-02-2013 06:30 AM

A casual discussion on clotheslines that come from hell.

I really love the CLothesline from Hell... It just sucks when someone sells it like shit.

Some guys go all out to sell it (like the gif above) and other just take it normally, which is lame as hell. Same think with Ryback;s clothesline (except that the CFA looks way better)

Love Jim Ross's reactions when Bradshaw hits it. Fuck I miss JBL.

I dont remember Bradshaw having short hair prior to the JBL turn, How long did that go for?

Lock Jaw 08-02-2013 01:53 PM

I think it was a few months before his heel turn

This thread makes me happy, in a clothesline type of way. That special feel type.

I was blown away at the July 22nd RAW in Austin when he came out for his announcer entrance, he got a warm welcoming reception from us.

Lock Jaw 08-02-2013 02:07 PM

One of my fav JBL moments:

I have to throw my hat in this metaphorical ring as well. kills me every time he says "I'm glad I'm retired"

He did the APA gimmick on a random special edition Raw after he retired, might have been that?

whiteyford 08-02-2013 07:05 PM

Miss those kind of finishers though.

BigCrippyZ 08-02-2013 08:49 PM

Good lord, HBK, Eddie and Billy Gunn sold these clotheslines so well.

I'm not as good as JBL but it's getting there ;)

Hanso Amore 08-03-2013 01:41 AM

No lie dude - Nice. I think in what ive seen in the past you havent embraced your size. Those were GREAT lariats on good spots.

Hanso Amore 08-03-2013 01:42 AM

You arent JBl big, but you could own the indies on a Clothesline from TPWW

nah hes laying out Charlie Haas. its 2003/4 looks like just before his heel turn

Lock Jaw 08-03-2013 02:26 AM

Yeah, he just showed up one week with the haircut and I was like "whoa" and Farooq was like "DAMN" and made a joke about it.

Bad News Gertner 08-03-2013 03:36 AM

He did that right before the APA reunited on Smackdown when they helped the Undertaker against the Full Blooded Italians.

Impact! 08-03-2013 07:46 AM

From memory Farooq got fired (?) and JBL heel turned by not following him out or something. Also the Clothesline From Hell on Heath Slater is possibly the greatest thing ever. Especially with JBL's smirk afterwards when he sees Heath selling it.

I love that the Undertaker needed help against the Full Blooded Italians.
