Survivor Series 2011 was a shining moment.:cool:

He's alright. Definitely improved since his debut. Just suffered from not being able to live up to the hype he was getting right away. If they actually sent him to FCW/NXT first before his big push on WWE TV, he could be a lot bigger than he is today.

He'll never be Rey Mysterio "big", though.

In his 2.5 years in WWE, the only significant thing he's really done is botch and get injured. His confrontations with Sin Cara Negro were great, even if the match itself was a huge let-down.

I haven't seen new photoshopped Sin Cara images lately. The bashing hasn't slowed?

The mask needs to be modified. Bad enough he can't speak English, but you can't see any emotion out of him during the match. He literally has no way to connect with the crowd on an emotional level.

Also, I like La Sombra better.

Cara is pretty slick in the ring tho. Kinda wasted in 3 minute matches.

I hear you about the mask. Seems like the only excuse they have for keeping it that way is the whole " 'Sin Cara' translation means 'Without face'." Stupid, really.

He has yet to live up to all of the hype, with most of his matches being moodlit botch fests, even when working with GREAT wrestlers. I know that I had high hopes when he arrived, hopefully with some tajiri- like skills, but they aren't there and I don't see how they ever will be.

I will also fight all of you, I haven't actually seen any bashing, but if Juan says it I believe it.

I turned my stance on Sin Cara b/c of his backstage antics on Smackdown! a few weeks ago. Plus I just noticed through Lock Jaw that he points at ppl quite a bit and that's powerful as hayell.

I prefer Hunico dressed as Sin Cara...btw, what the hell happened to Hunico?...and his samoan body guard? Sin Cara is very good at looking through trunks for stuff though.

Sin Cara could benefit from a feud against Zeb Colter's crew. Colter could do enough talking for everybody, while Sin Cara consistently shows "heart" and pulls out victories.

Just scrap the mood lighting.

The mood lighting was such a stupid idea not because he was the only one with special lights but because he probably could barely see anything from how dark the lights were. Took months before the WWE realized this and made them brighter.

The Cara vs Cara feud was good even though it was really short.

Sin Cara should turn heel and attack Rey Mysterio at his casa, that would be awesome. Or have a gimmick where he travels to wrestler's houses and steals their trash and souls.

Didn't someone suggest the idea of giving him a manager who's a heel but since Sin Cara doesn't speak English he's oblivious to it all. I'd watch that.

There is no doubt in my mind, WWE missed an opportunity with this guy. I would have turned Mysterio heel, and have him go after Sin Cara. Have Cara go over, let Mysterio retire. You would still have the merchandise sales from masks, and Cara woulda been over huge with the little Mexicans.

I don't know if it was a missed opportunity by WWE as much as it was Rey or Sin Cara ALWAYS being injured. There were rumors that at least a match was planned at some point but it would have been tough to build the feud when both guys being healthy at the same time for more than a month is a miracle.

Because I remember watching it thinking "How can it be this bad? It's actually bizarre how underwhelming this match is."

I'm no Sin Cara hater. And Hunico can certainly go in the ring. I just can't fathom how they fucked it up that bad.

If it were me, I'd have him doing these things in that entrance vid

Hmm, reminds me of the "Day in the Life of Sin Cara" youtube series. One of the vids has a dude in a Sin Cara mask attempting to dramatically pour milk onto cereal but gets it all over himself. The execution isn't as funny as it sounds because he actually hit the bowl and overpoured a little, not as catastrophic as one might imagine.

I'm inclined to agree with the naysayers on this thread. Had they actually a) given the Sin Cara gimmick to Hunico to begin with and b) nix the lighting treatment during the matches themselves, the "make him a big deal quick" idea could have at least been a start.

The only forseeable way to salvage him in any way is to keep having him do silly shit in backstage segments (even that needs to be "bigger"... like, have him do stuff besides nod or point... maybe some facepalms or shoulder shrugs?), or do something like make the "unemployed" Ricardo his mouthpiece/harbinger of vengeance...

or that.

I believe Tom Guycott is insinuating Sin Cara needs to snap and become a badass submission machine. Or get a towel.

It's my answer for a lot of things but they need to give him a feud, something to make us invest in him rather than random 3 minute matches.

It has been over a year since The Avengers came out, about time for the WWE to try to capitalize on it.

It really is the solution to most guys getting lost in the shuffle. It's been years since they've put any real, consistent effort into getting good feuds going outside the main event and that's why so many guys have gotten stagnant.

After Del Rio loses the WHC, a Del Rio/Sin Cara feud for the IC title could help make Sin Cara relevant.

The hurricanrana he used to finish Drew McIntyre on Main Event was fucking sick. I've never given up hope on Sin Cara, as I've always felt that the reason he wasn't clicking was because he was rushed and the production of the character is all wrong. The mood-lighting doesn't help him out, because it makes everything darker and he's meant to be an inspiring human being. Isn't he? The WWE has done a pretty piss-poor job of explaining who Sin Cara is and what he is about. They should do some sort of vignettes on the guy before they bring him back. Show children talking about how he has taught them that anything is possible with a good heart and hard work. That sort of bullshit.

Put him on a winning streak after that. Also, go back to a blue color scheme. He should only use other colors for special occasions. He then goes on a winning streak, hitting his sweet hurricanranas on 3MB for a few weeks, and then on Epico & Primo, then on Darren Young, etc. Keep him going up the roster until people begin to bank on the guy and get behind him.

Or they can just put him back with Rey Mysterio when Rey is healthy, and until then let Sin Cara train down in NXT to get even better at the WWE style.

So, he can team with Rey for a couple weeks until the next injury?

Yes, Sin Cara would get over much better as a comedy act now. He can feud with 3MB!
