Mooияakeя™ 08-27-2013 06:47 PM

Is Fandango over?

I mean, ffs, a guy who can't dance, who portrays a dancer who is part of a a wrestling company, yet didn't want to at the beginning?!?! WTF. Thank fuck Titan Towers went with the Sports Entertainment thing.

Got ♥ for him tho.

Its a shame Nova was awesome as a wrestler.

glanville6 08-27-2013 11:25 PM

Lock Jaw will agree with this one-

Christian's temper tantrum gimmick.

It was great because it was Christian, it was terrible because Christian was losing.

So you probably got a big, cheesy smile when DDP beat Christian for the European Title in the Main Event of Wrestlemania 18.

I know it's just a ripoff of Smells Like Teen Spirit, but that theme was awesome. Still get goosebumps thinking about DDP making his entrance at Halloween Havoc 98. He should have beaten Goldberg. Instead, WCW waited all the way til April and nobody cared.

I'm still beyond baffled as to how he ever won the WHC. That and how the fuck he still has a job.

whiteyford 08-28-2013 02:30 AM

India has a very large population, lots of money to be made, WWE is a business, a business likes to make money...

A 'dead' man with magical powers, a gimmick based on this shouldn't be over 20+ years later.

SlickyTrickyDamon 08-28-2013 02:48 AM

The Computerized Man of the 1990's Terrance Taylor!!!!!!!!

Maybe not, but I dug his music and Gary Michael Cappetta announcing his name awesomeley.

PluggedWCW 08-28-2013 07:36 AM

This thread is so bad it is actually getting over pretty well.

More so edge was injured and they needed to throw the belt on someone.

Anybody Thrilla 08-28-2013 06:31 PM

Simon Dean had a lot of untapped potential.

Curd 08-28-2013 06:31 PM

Da Baldies in ECW had PN News and a rookie Vic Grimes but got massive heat and pops depending on who they were facing.

Khali, Hornswoggle, Repo Man.

Savio 08-29-2013 08:18 AM

has hornswoggle really gotten over?

screech 08-29-2013 08:31 AM

Has Khali?

The Condor 08-29-2013 09:50 AM

Trying to remember if PMS was over. I feel that due to their "assets" in the late 90's they must have been.

Mr. Socko

Heyman 08-29-2013 01:20 PM

What about Fandango?

I also think 'Too Cool' belongs on this list.

Jon Heidenreich's "disaster piece" poetry's were also starting to take off a bit before he got released.

Minor correction: He asked for time off, and eventually his release, after Hurricane Katrina because several family members were affected by the disaster.

yes. very much so when he was with finlay and such.

Who would have thought that Little Bastard would have a seven year WWE career?

Lock Jaw 08-31-2013 05:56 PM

Hornswoggle has had a longer WWE career than Eddie Guerrero. :'(

Mr. Nerfect 09-05-2013 08:24 PM

I really, really hope that I can one day say Los Matadors belong on this list.

Mr. Nerfect 09-05-2013 08:26 PM

This thread has made me miss Simon Dean. I would actually love to see him in NXT as an on-air character. Behind the scenes, he could be a trainer for the company, since the guy is incredibly good at what he does.

They could have Simon Dean work with Kassius Ohno to try and get him into shape. Ohno could be a proud spokesperson for The Simon System.

Mr. Nerfect 09-05-2013 08:27 PM

Would love to see Dean manage the tag team of Kassius Ohno & Mason Ryan. Call them "Before & After."

There should be an online petition to get WWE to do this. Vince will probably ignore it, but whatever. :y:

They needed someone to feed to Cena. Not sure how that's hard to understand. As far as still having a job, WWE are convinced he brings in overseas money, which is extremely important to any business.

I keep telling you, Cole, I'm fairly certain he has parents!

Mr. Nerfect 09-06-2013 09:44 PM

I always felt that Kane was a better choice to win the World Heavyweight Title back when they needed to move it off Edge. Khali was, even at the time as a heel, a random choice.

Mr. Nerfect 09-06-2013 09:45 PM

Just be thankful the company no longer tries to push him as a serious heel threat. He even put over Heath Slater once. WOOOOOOO!!!!!

Shisen Kopf 09-06-2013 09:55 PM

And to a somewhat lesser extent, Reverend D-Von. I still remember dying of laughter the night Batista debuted as D-Von's lacky, Deacon Batista.

DAMN iNATOR 09-07-2013 03:29 AM

Don't know if I would consider him over or not, but I remember Christopher Nowinski hanging around considerably longer than I thought he'd last.

Anybody Thrilla 09-07-2013 12:23 PM

Nowinski was great. The gimmick was standard, but not awful.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-07-2013 12:44 PM

His gimmick wasn't that standard when he began teaming with the black guys. The white intellectual who thinks he knows the street. Too bad he had his brain damaged too much in Harvard or could have been a mid-level champion or something.

road doggy dogg 09-07-2013 01:47 PM

His post-wrestling work has been a much much greater contribution to society than anything he could have done in the ring
crossrine

Corporate CockSnogger 09-07-2013 01:47 PM

A guy shouting "YES" a lot and not doing much else.

DrCrawford 09-07-2013 04:38 PM

Ryback started to. I think that gimmick is terrible
