RVD WHC?
RVD has been on a tear, to me, the fashion he seems to win his matches in, and from what I read how the crowd gets behind him. Does anyone else feel like RVD will walk out of NOC with the WHC? Also, like I said, I only have been able to read the results my cable is out. Is RVD putting on good matches?
I have a feeling he won't walk out with the title but he should. He's really over and he'd instantly bring some credibility back to the title. I'd actually like to see him have a long reign with it but I don't know if this full-time return is long-term.
If he wins the title he'll lose it the same night (or soon after) to Damien Sandow. You're welcome.
No to everything
After that Sandow and Christian feud and Christian wins the title, but LockJaw said no to everything so it can't happen. Sorry guys. Sorry Christian. Blame LockJaw.
My response was to the original post's question.
I don't think Sandow is ready/should be WHC either, but I'd rather have him as champ than RVD. (Especially if he goes on to fight Christian)
WHC = World Heavyweight Cannabis.

I'm just really pissed they wasted the perfect combination of Ricardo and Del Rio on Rob Van Dam. Very short-sighted.
Best thread this year.
It's all gonna be a ruse.. Ricardo is gonna turn on rvd and re-unite with del rio at noc. That's my guess anyways
I would not be opposed to seeing Ricardo betray RVD and kick-start this feud with Del Rio into high gear.
Fully support RVD winning the title off Del Rio. RVD is better than anything on Smackdown.
Especially Christian.
JTG is better than Christian
Yes and yes he will win.
RVD is from Michigan :y::y: Of The River is from that cess pool el Mexico :n::n:. RVD should win the belt to prove American dominance.

RVD is going to poop all over Del Rio dudes
Can we get an over/under of dropkicks in the match?

A real feud between Del Rio and RVD could be just what the title needs to get some attention.
I don't get the appeal with RVD tbh

As I stated previously, if RVD were to win the World Heavyweight Championship, he would join the exclusive club of wrestlers who have won the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship and ECW Championship along with Big Show, Kane and CM Punk.
Del Rio would get more heat if he came out to "Mexican Radio," or Epico & Primo could use a rap cover of that song.
I was never a major RVD fan. I see the appeal, though, and you cannot deny he is over and draws people into what he is doing. For that reason, it makes total sense that the WWE uses him in the title picture.

Why is it Dave?
I have to put my personal feelings aside and do what's right for business.
That still didn't answer my question.
My question would echo Tazz Dan's.
The only reason I wouldn't go with RVD at Night of Champions is because I think Del Rio is amazing and have no problem with him keeping the title against almost anyone at this point.

If this is meant to be a heel turn, it's your worst effort yet. Best delete these last few posts and pretend it never happened.
RVD winning the World Title would balance out Orton holding the WWE Title.

Del Rio has talent but he's a "B+".
RVD is a legend that will bring eyes on the belt. |
He took TNA to the stratosphere after they put him over AJ Styles to win the title on IMPACT for no reason...oh wait...
RVD IS BAD FOR BUSINESS |
TNA sucking isn't his fault though, who watches TNA besides a select few fans and some channel surfing bored dude who happens to come across it and think "oh wrestling, cool".
RVD HWC??
YES |

BEING TNA IS BAD FOR BUSINESS RVD is not. |
RVD is what killed the ECW re-launch. It kinda sucks to re-launch an entire brand around a guy and then he gets arrested and suspended within a month.
Oh come one James, that's just bad trolling. Not even you can honestly believe that RVD is what killed the ECW re-launch.
They re-launched the entire brand and then he and Sabotchu decided to be the worthless pieces of shit they are and get busted with drugs. As such, they had to drastically and hastily change plans for ECW which gave us Big Show vs Batista and Vince McMahon vs Bobby Lashley since none of the "new breed" guys were remotely close to being ready. It made them rush the change from "ECW 2.0" to "Pre-NXT NXT". Vince also probably decided to never let an over ECW original hold the belt again since they can't handle their fucking business. At least Dreamer got one run with it.
I loved ECW. Everyone got pissed when it wasn't the same as the original ECW, but did anyone actually thing that was going to happen. They used the "brand" of ECW to help launch a 3rd brand to use as glorified developmental since they could work with veterans and get on TV without getting in the way of the 2 main brands.
Loved Kurt Angle's ECW theme once it got past the poorly looped intro bit.
RVD hasn't smoked since June
http://www.hipcast.com/podcast/HmnkrKgs Either way, I'd love it if he wins the belt. |

There was a lot that went wrong in the original ECW. Yeah, RVD fucked up pretty early, but I'm sure the plan was for Big Show to be the ECW Champion soon anyway. Well, either him or Kurt Angle, but Angle left very soon after ECW began, dealing it a bit of a blow.
Then there was that whole "December to Dismember" debacle. The booking of the PPV should have been pretty simple -- Big Show goes first, since he was leaving the company. He puts over every single guy in the match by going first and implying that we are going to get a new ECW Champion, and they are not going to be Paul Heyman's "chosen guy." Hardcore Holly and Test then put over RVD and CM Punk. RVD beats Punk, because Punk was quite new and RVD was the babyface that was still being pushed as the "hope" for ECW. It comes down to Bobby Lashley vs. RVD, where Heyman screws RVD by helping out Lashley and revealing that Bobby was always his Supreme Superstar to head ECW into a new era. The next few months would feature RVD trying to find a way to get another ECW Title shot. The Originals and the New Breed could continue to feud on a lower level and Punk would still find his way into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and win. Lashley vs. RVD at WrestleMania 23 for the ECW Title, New Breed vs. Originals and Punk in MITB -- a perfect way to represent the new brand at their first WrestleMania. Chris Benoit's whole thing didn't help the brand later in 2007, either. I was fairly certain the plan was for Benoit to beat Punk to become the new ECW Champion, and for him and Punk to have a series of incredible matches that would eventually put Punk over. Instead, we got John Morrison -- who as much as I loved him, was the first time it felt like the ECW Title wasn't at that World Title level -- and it never recovered. |
