James Steele 11-10-2013 10:37 PM

Clearly, Daniel Bryan's career is over. He will be back in ROH by April. Fuck Triple H and FUCK THE WWE!!!!!

James Steele 11-11-2013 09:52 PM

I enjoy the angle. I'm not too busy screaming about my fantasy booking not coming true that I can't enjoy the storyline.

Savio 11-11-2013 11:36 PM

I don't really care for Bryan being champ at least not for a long time. But it would have made sense storyline wise, espcially with Kane selling out, and going against him now.

Orton/Show is awful.

the angle is not that good... too many contrived fuck job finishes. Over booking at its worst. WWE never has the balls to put the boosters on someone, other than HHH apparently, and pretty much because he is married to Stephanie.

Triple H was there..................:shifty:

KIRA 11-14-2013 05:40 PM

Honestly, the problem with Triple H is that despite the fact that he called himself the game 500 fucking times (also the first time he used it) in an interview with J.R. way back when here we are 2013 and still nobody is buying it. Shit we were kids and we laughed our asses off at the fact that he really wanted that ridiculous notion to stick.

He can be "called to rule" The Kingdom and beat the entire roster with a standing sleeper all he wants.

Even his best 40 min plus long promo wont change the fact that he was a glorified mid-carder among Legends.

CSL 11-14-2013 05:51 PM

you're underselling him there, he's "pretty fucking good"

Corporate CockSnogger 11-14-2013 05:53 PM

I don't care if he is the future owner of a multi million dollar company, I'm convinced that it bothers him fans don't see him Stone Cold, Taker or The Rock.

Plus I think CM Punk was dead-on when he said what the company will be when Triple H and Wife are running the whole show.

Thats just it. He's so underwhelming that he's not even an afterthought, until the WWE shoves him on TV with all of the names for ruler and conquer they could find to portray him as alot more than he was.

I doubt it. He has a once in a generation chance to transcend Austin, Rock, Taker, even Vince McMahon himself when he inevitably becomes the most powerful man in professional wrestling. He's currently in a position beyond the wildest dreams of any person that ever went to a training school to become a pro wrestler. I bet he sleeps very well (and very comfortably) at night.

that's just silly talk. It's fair enough to not like the guy but let's not make up silly reasons to justify it.

Savio 11-14-2013 07:51 PM

I would agree I think it might bother him people don't see him as Rock or Stone Cold.

James Steele 11-14-2013 07:58 PM

It should. It's called being a competitor.

Nark Order 11-14-2013 08:22 PM

Triple H really wants to be mentioned with the top guys in the history of the business. It is all he ever wanted I think. But honestly, he just isn't that guy. I'll give him credit for scraping and clawing his way to the top by any means necessary but saying he got to where he is on ability alone is just irresponsible. He's obviously passionate about the business and will love it to his dying breath, but he vastly overestimates his contributions to wrestling from what I've seen and heard.

James Steele 11-14-2013 08:23 PM

You vastly overestimate the validity of your thoughts and opinions from what I've heard and read. Where would he be without his marriage? He'd still have been a main eventer, still would have been one of the top heels of the past decade and a half, and still would have had a DX reunion that made a shitload of money. The only different is that he might have been fully retired by now and have 1 or 2 less title reigns.

Savio 11-14-2013 08:29 PM

Triple H should divorce Steph and go on a run to prove he is that damn good.

James Steele 11-14-2013 08:32 PM

That'd be a good storyline.

CSL 11-14-2013 08:32 PM

he was already on his way to the moon long before he got involved with Stephanie, certainly don't understand the "scraping and clawing"/"by any means necessary" part. He got to where he was going the same way most other guys did: because he was the right guy for that spot

James Steele 11-14-2013 08:38 PM

The most interesting thing Triple H ever did was cut the legs off his tights and that was cool for 8 seconds before I wondered where The Undertaker was.

Nark Order 11-14-2013 09:01 PM

Shawn really pushed for Hunter to get his shot. DX was their idea and it got passed because of Shawn. Hunter has always had people in his corner. And it turned out pretty well for him. I'm not saying he didn't do the work but he has had luxuries that many guys have not had. (Ie:best friend main eventers, wife that is the boss of the company) You can not say those things did not help him. You can't. I know the knob gobbling thing is kind of your calling card around here, but it cannot be argued that those things did not have an effect.

As a performer, he's alright. He's not incredible but in no way is he bad. But the esteem you show this guy is a little weird.

Those same main event friends who got him buried for over a year when 2 of them left? The same main eventer who got so coked up that he was long gone from WWE once Triple H become a cemented main eventer? The same wife who made him a multi-time WWE Champion before they ever met?

James Steele 11-14-2013 09:13 PM

Seriously, how can you be so hateful toward a face like this?

http://alwaysalist.com/wp-content/up...8/Triple-H.jpg

Nark Order 11-14-2013 09:17 PM

By the time Shawn left, Hunter was completely set up for success. He had a brand in DX that he could build off of that had name value. Shawn's contributions sent Triple H to the top of the upper mid-card immediately after he left. Never once did I say that hunter didn't work hard or put in the work, but he had a whole lot of help that other guys don't really get. Marrying Stephanie did not get him to the main event, you are right. Hard work and a little help from his friends got him to the main event. But marrying Stephanie pretty much solidified him being in the main event for the rest of his career.

friends in high places maybe helped initially, absolutely (although I fail to see who on the roster that didn't get "that shot" at the time was any more "equipped" or deserved more to be there) And Michaels was gone from March '98 onwards (in a significantly reduced/non-existent role of influence), at which point Triple H was a solid mid-card act, a decent foil for the "top guy". The most significant portion of his career came with none of those friends around, he took the ball and ran (with a solid supporting cast) and out-did the original DX in a situation where most tend to fail (the "next incarnation" of a successful act) He went from mid-card guy to one of the top babyfaces to the top heel in the company on the back of his own ability, he broke through the glass ceiling on nothing but merit. Where he places amongst the top guys ever is certainly up for debate but he got himself into a position to even be mentioned in that conversation in the first place in the exact same way Austin, Rock and Taker did.

SO...does anyone else here think the falling out between Pete Leone and HHH is sexually related?
http://www.tpww.net/2013/11/major-ba...t-wwe-firings/

Curd 11-15-2013 02:51 AM

I'm not saying Trips is bi or anything. I think Leone propositioned Stephanie because he got too buddy-buddy with Hunter and didn't think he'd get himself fired.

Ol Dirty Dastard 11-15-2013 11:38 AM

Hunter is definitely a top-ish guy, no doubt. But not THE guy. He works with THE guy, and honestly when at his best, brings the most out of THE guy. But a company can not be rested upon his shoulders.

I respect him actually though. He is kind of a huge gay in how he likes to steal thunder, but the man's work ethic cannot be denied. The way he explained how he got into the production and booking part of things just shows how smart and driven he is. One of the few legitimately intelligent and savvy guys in the business, with tons of drive and initiative. It's just a shame that he loves to over shadow people. But I can't say I wouldn't do the same in his position. Spotlight is hard to let go of.

Since this is an appreciation thread I'll list the things I do like about Hunter Hearst Hemsley.

1. His wrestling style went well with his blue blood gimmick it had a certian fanciness about it,but the dude can be the most hardcore fucker in the ring when called to do so.

2.That Conan the Barbarian entrance attire he had.

3. The fact that he knows what its like to be under utilized despite being talented will hopefully make him push talented but misused wrestlers.

The Rogerer 11-17-2013 07:09 PM

4. That he relies on a signature weapon (real tough guy) that he uses in a way that completely brings you down to earth and ruins suspension of disbelief every time

James Steele 11-17-2013 07:17 PM

I'm laughing uncontrollably at your pure wit and charm, The Rogerer.
