I'll just go ahead and be "THAT guy" and say I'm really hoping for an official announcement from Bethesda of Fallout 4 being in development. I mean, they just released TESO and they don't appear to be working on a whole lot of other known titles.
Besides people already know it's been in development for a while now, might as well at least show a trailer for it and maybe even give at least some vague idea of when a potential release could be expected. |
Supposedly Blizzard have a big E3 announcement this year as well. Wonder if it will be the Titan reveal. I reckon they'd save that for BlizzCon though

I know it's probably a longshot, but I would love for Microsoft to announce backwards compatibility for the One. Would go buy one the day the update dropped. As it stands I'm waiting until I finish my 360 games before buying anything new.

Sony will almost certainly waste time on the Morpheus bullshit, so about 10mins of blah-blah is accounted for.
I really don't have patience for gimmicks this year. Just wanna see games. Particularly Japanese games. A new UI for X1 would be nice, too. |

According to Ubisoft, their press conference could have included at least one more game which would have been for the Wii U. Supposedly its been finished for the past few months and would likely get released around the time of Smash Bros's launch.

Tim Schafer cleared up some issues with Grim Fandango's Remastered status. Lots of sites immediately thought it was just a PS4 and Vita exclusive but likely is going to be a timed one instead.

I liked Nintendos stuff though I'd have liked a longer trailer for the new Zelda game.
Splatoon looks fun. Cool that Miis are in Smash Bros. I'll be a brawler. You all know Iike to get up close in fighting games. Was thinking they'd show someone other than Paluntena. No Wario game :(. That Treehouse show after the main event was just hideous to watch. Trailers weren't playing, the guy was talking over the girl, they kept trying to make jokes. Thinking of sueing for the distress caused. |

Fable Legends was shown to not give a fuck about what Fable was. Essentially a co-op dungeon crawler now, which isn't bad, but not Fable either.

I rather not. Those characters are superheroes now. They will survive, their superheroics aren't 'horror' by any means (maybe for the villains). There is no tension at all, storywise. I would use new characters.
The Survival Horror tropes must also be revived in the gameplay sense, and RE6 did so only in little degrees. This is unacceptable for the biggest survival horror franchise out there. We need to return to a time where players are terrified to walk down a dark hallway. And not fearing a jump scare; fear of dying in that hallway. We need a return to that gameplay, characters and story be damned. |

I watched the presentation of Playstation and it was so God damn boring
Looks like a bunch of sequels, a bunch of shooting games, some "visually striking" indie games, Zombie shit, reboots, DLC, "social gaming," and a bunch of fanboys hooting and hollering at every little jab the guys took at Microsoft. |
Really you mostly described all the shows. They all had fanboys going gaga over things. Sequels, reboots, and zombies are everywhere. My big gripe on Sony is how awkwardly planned it was. Boring ass speeches prolonging the show for no reason. Microsoft's pace was to me the ideal E3 showing.
Between Nintendo's direct and their ongoing Tree House stream (it's been great), they totally owned this year. In fact I think the others should roll with that. The old Ted Talk thing is getting a bit pretentious now. |
The special hour 3DS event today from Nintendo ended up being the reveal of a brand new game called Codename: S.T.E.A.M.

I think Ori and the Blind Forest was the highlight for me.
Phantom Pain in a close second. Wasn't even really hyped for MGSV until I saw that trailer. Now I want to buy Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes to catch up story wise. |
