<iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FVxO12qXZkQ" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
http://www.wwe.com/inside/wwe-releases-superstars WWE has come to terms on the release of the following Superstars as of today, June 12, 2014: JTG Drew McIntyre Jinder Mahal Aksana Curt Hawkins Theodore Long Camacho Brodus Clay Evan Bourne Yoshi Tatsu Marc Harris (referee) WWE wishes them the best in all their future endeavors. [Updated 3:53pm EST] |
<font color=goldenrod>Forgot most of them were employed in the first place.
Actually kinda surprised Teddy got released. Figured he was just on some sort of backstage deal at this point.</font> |
now hold on a minute playa
Woah - that list keeps updating, because when I went there 10 minutes ago Teddy wasn't on the list.
completely bummed about bourne. i know he had 2 strikes against him, had not been on tv in 2 years but always enjoyed his work
Evan Bourne! Noooooooo. :(
I was a Brodus Clay fan. Rats.
Only two days ago I was asking where Bourne was, as he had been gone for what felt like forever.
I'm surprised that Teddy is gone though. I always had him down as one of those guys who would be with the company forever. I'm not surprised at all about Yoshi Tatsu though. I can't remember the last time I actually saw him in a match, or in a match that was over a minute long, or in a match that he won. He was just never really used at all from day one. Kinda makes me think that they only brought him to the WWE just so they could say "We have an Asian guy on our roster". I'm somewhat surprised about Camacho. I liked him when he was with Hunico and him being on NXT just made me think that he was safe and would return to the main roster soon. I'm also not that surprised about Brodus. I still think that if they kept him as the unstoppable monster heel he was originally going to be, he would have went somewhere. He was great in that roll and I really enjoyed him. But for some reason, he became a funky dancing dinosaur. |
Shit, now Curt Hawkins! :'(
Had no idea Evan Bourne was still with WWE.
Keep refreshing that page.
I just did and Hawkins appeared on the list. :( |
It's going to be crazy if JTG gets released today.
Happy "Future Endeavord" day!!!!!!
Looks like Main Event Brodus Clay went full Shad after all.
Now Aksana! :'(

Camacho :( thought he was great and just got lumbered with a shit gimmick. I'd put money on him going and doing well in Japan #BurretCrubaru
Damn. The Funkasauraus could have been so much better. I hate when they have a perfectly fine fun babyface character and then turn him only to forget about him. What the fuck is the point? Same with Titus O'Neil. Was it really that important to break up a fine, fun midcard tag team to build a useless heel to job out to Big Show for a couple weeks and then forget about?

Justin Gabriel better be praying

Jinder is now gone.
3.5MB is now 2.5MB. |
<font color=goldenrod>I figured they would have done more with the son of Haku than make him Mexican for some reason.</font>
<font color=goldenrod>Jesus this is awkward. It would appear they're updating the list as soon as they communicate the release to the employee.</font>
They hindered jinder!
Camacho will be in Japan tomorrow and will do great, bet hes in bullet club in a week.
Aksana will be in TNA for a 4 month or so run soon. Brodus could be a nice fit in TNA |
OH MY GOD THEY KILLED 3MB GERTNER IS GOING TO KILL HIMSELF
Jinder!
I wonder who is going to stop the clock when/if JTG is released.
We don't want the clock giving him more time of employment than he actually got. |
Sucks to see Evan Bourne go. It seems like the guy has been "about to return very soon" for over a year now. Is he still injured or did they really just kinds lost interest him him returning?
If Jinder is gone and Drew Mac makes the cut maybe we will see him go off on his own again. He still could be salvaged for a nice IC run.
If you're dumping Mahal you might as well dump Slater and McIntyre at the same time cause their releases are inevitable
Holy shit, Jinder!?!?! Really! Hornswoggle just made 3MB a fun stable! What the fuck!?

Drew is gone.
Slater next maybe?
I'm saddened that the shooter of the divas division is gone
Aaaaand there's Drew McIntyre.
He's just one maaaaaaaaaaan...
WTF not Jinder
<font color=goldenrod>Heath Slater, whatever you do, do NOT answer the phone call from the 203 area code.</font>
But Drew was the Choosen one.
Heath Slater could end up tagging with Adam Rose, that's about it

Not Drew :(
The one that could actually amount to something. This is a good time when Gertner's gimmick is going to turn against him. #BadNews3MB |
Man. 3MB stayed together just long enough to outlast The Shield.

lol. Honestly, how is JTG outlasting guys who have actually been involved in storylines over the past couple months?
Kofi!?!?!?!?
Kofi is gone :( |
Quote:
It's both crazy and humorous to think about it. |
<font color=goldenrod>I've read JTG is tight with Cena. At this point that's literally the only reason I can think of for why he's still employed. I actually like JTG, too.</font>
jk Kofi is not gone

JTG! JTG! JTG! JTG! JTG!
Wow Drew - I was a big fan that sucks but it makese sense from the WWE standpoint.
Hope he goes to TNA and makes a big transition like Bateman. |
Why the fuck isn't Khali released already? He should go too -.-
Maybe if we start #ReleaseCena they will do it! [/smark]
Khali is a draw in india so he will alway have ajob. He shows up 3 times a year on TV and they make money from it.

WWE just tweeted 2 hours ago a video of 3MB doing an interview where they talk about being the "longest reigning faction of the modern era".
Odd thing to post just minutes before their release. |
No, he will be MVPs new "selected individual"

Referee Marc Harris!?!?!?!?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! |
Fucking wasted Drew, he was a hun but still, should never have swapped his solo theme for 3MB.
Marc Harris has been released!
Not Marc Harris! :'( |
Who has bets on brad maddox?
Damn so what's the deal with this, is June traditionally the time of year they release a bunch of talent?
I hope someone in the company see this thread and goes "oh shit we all forgot about JTG"
Then fires him |
I think JTG is like milton from office space
I think JTG is Vince's bastard son
Ref Bump. Marc Harris is gone.
Looks like 1MB becomes the new Shield member

If they release Brad Maddox I will be devastated |
Adam Rose/Heath Slater for tag champs!
I think that's all the releases for today.
There's been a nice even amount of ten releases and no new names has been added for around twenty minutes now. |
That's what they want you to think.... and then.
BAM RELEASE OUTTA NOWHERE! |

Whomever is doing the firing is taking their lunch
Has JTG surpassed Funaki? This is hilarious.
I'm glad the hood is still being brought to me.
...that is still his theme, right? Fucking still. |
They should send Bo along to encourage them in their future endeavors.
I really hope Slater inexplicably keeps this theme, in the vein of JTG:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/xVgqM06_YeU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> So good. |
Kinda want JTG to have a match on RAW with a full entrance now.
Fuck them for releasing Evan Bourne :(
I could care less about a copper. They call me the copper stopper. Break them off something proper.
I guess my hopes for a John Morrison/Evan Bourne rematch on ECW are OFFICIALLY dashed now.

JTG has been released according to that Metsfan guy on Reddit, could he be JTG??
Curt Hawkins firing shots at Mark Henry, whoa now
is drew still married to that taryn chic if so that would be a good reunion in tna
They didn't stay married for long, it was swift
<font color=goldenrod>I was actually kinda shocked by the Teddy Long release in that I figured he was just a lifer at this point and had signed some sort of backstage/production/consulting type of contract. I figured his days as an on-screen performer were over. I was actually just reminiscing about Long as SmackDown GM...I know the endless tag matches are a punchline with him, but Long as GM from like 2004-06 or so reminds me of a time when I actually watched SmackDown every week to see guys who only wrestled there, before they abolished the brand split.
Drew and Jinder were definitely the biggest surprises. When 3MB first debuted I thought they were only going to last a couple of months and instead they stuck around over a year and a half, featured on Raw most weeks. They were never going to be more than a comedy group, but they did their jobs well. Pretty much anybody released from WWE can find indy work fairly easily, but especially these two. Heath surviving the cuts means WWE is at least aware that he is excellent. I imagine he'll get a Santino-esque comedy heel push circa 2007/08. Brodus Clay feels like a big wasted opportunity. Heel Brodus could have been an absolute badass who could have easily gotten into the US/IC title picture with minimal effort. It seemed like they were letting him hash out a heel persona on NXT so definitely disappointing he didn't get another crack on the main roster. I think he would do wonderfully in Japan if he wanted to go that route. Camacho is another guy who should be able to do great things in Japan if he wanted to go there. WWE saddled him with a shit gimmick and even after moving him back to NXT they didn't really change it at all. I like Curt Hawkins, I really do. He was a solid hand in the ring and I have a soft spot for him because he's a suffering from the soul-sucking disease of being a Mets fan, just like I am. He really did seem best suited as a tag team guy, and I enjoyed his team with Tyler Reks but they'd done nothing with him since. He'd make an odd appearance on Superstars or NXT but barely. He started his own wrestling school probably because he knew the release was coming sooner or later, so I doubt this is too much of a shock to him. At least on the indies he'll be able to wrestle more than once every 3 months. Aksana...she was pretty funny. Not a good worker in the ring or anything but that's not why I liked her. There are several divas who might be getting called up soon and they obviously weren't going to get rid of Cameron or Eva Marie due to Total Divas, sad to see her go though. Yoshi Tatsu was the fucking man. But WWE just wasn't using him. I think the only main roster work he was getting was a token booking when they'd do a tour of Japan. I imagine he'll have no issues finding work, especially back in Japan. Kinda weird to think that WWE doesn't have a Japanese wrestler under their employ for the first time in ages, unless KENTA has actually signed. Sad Evan Bourne never made it back. He was an idiot by allowing himself to get suspended a second time, but the injury he suffered was pretty brutal and it seemed he was working his ass off to make it back. My favorite Bourne match was a match he had against John Morrison on ECW, I believe that match was quite popular in IWC circles, actually. I bet those two get booked against one another on the indies.</font> |
Global Force probably jizzing in their pants right now
