Hey that man who paved the way for the Yes Lock is a future hall of famer. I read it in an issue of wwe magazine from 2004 so they shouldn't exclude him just because of what he did.
|
Undertaker shouldn't even be booked anymore. He lost @WM XXX; I say it's high time for him to retire. Maybe have one of the newer guys who has a shit-ton of momentum, like maybe BNB or Sheamus challenge him around early February, for a WM 31 match. Undertaker shows up the following week on RAW and says they're not even in his league and never will be, and after 22 WrestleManias amd only one loss, the time has come for him to retire. The following week on RAW, UT is revealed as the first inductee in the Class of 2015 WWE Hall of Fame.
|
Have him bury up-and-coming talent on the way out the door, nice.

i'm right there with you.

Sting vs The Undertaker could have been cool years ago, but now the idea is..... Meh.
The Undertaker is not in the best of shape, so Sting would have to carry the match. Also, Paul Heyman's client Brock Lesnar already killed the streak. There is nothing on the line. |

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Daniel Bryan -Brock Lesnar wins the World Title at SummerSlam. Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble. Paul Heyman tells Bryan that Brock is going to break his neck and his wife's heart at WrestleMania. Bryan is confident that he can beat Brock. Simple stuff, Match of the Year possibilities. Intercontinental Championship Cesaro (c) vs. John Cena -Dolph Ziggler wins the IC Title from The Miz and Cesaro wins it from Ziggler around the Royal Rumble. Cesaro is a Paul Heyman Guy again. John Cena is chasing the only title in his career that he hasn't held. Cesaro shockingly beats Cena clean and proves that perhaps it is a new era in WWE. Hercules vs. The Monster The Rock vs. Bray Wyatt -If there is anyone "Hollywood" enough for Bray Wyatt to want to burn to the ground, it would be The Rock. Wyatt's feuds with The Miz, John Cena and Chris Jericho have all seemed to focus on elements of the polished and superficial star-studded world clashing with Bray Wyatt's "realistic" view on things. This feud would have some amazing mic work and would be your "mainstream" feud for the show. Perhaps Mick Foley can get involved in Rock's corner, as the mic work there would be tremendous too. Triple Threat Match Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns -The three members of The Shield face each other in a Triple Threat for the first time. Roman Reigns goes on another tear in the Royal Rumble, but after he eliminates Seth Rollins, the heelish Rollins holds Reigns near the ropes and Dean Ambrose dumps out Reigns without fully appreciating he had the assist. Perhaps Seth Rollins' briefcase can on the line in this match? United States Championship Randy Orton (c) vs. Kenta -Orton is the guy to end Sheamus' US Title reign when he is thrown a title match by The Authority once Brock has secured the World Heavyweight Title. Around the Royal Rumble time, Kenta begins to show up on Orton's radar. He doesn't spend much time in NXT, and instead makes the jump to the main roster and surprises everyone by eliminating Orton from the Royal Rumble. He then does the same thing in the Elimination Chamber or something. The question is whether or not Kenta can beat Orton one-on-one? He does, and he manages to secure his first championship in the WWE. The US Title becomes a symbol of Kenta making it in a new land. Divas Championship AJ Lee (c) vs. Kharma -AJ retains the Divas Championship and begins a rivalry with Stephanie McMahon over who is truly the most powerful woman in sports entertainment. Is it Stephanie with her authority, or is it AJ with her championship? AJ can act better than Brie, so it might become a really hot feud. Anyway, Steph gets pissed at AJ and brings in Kharma to flatten her at WrestleMania 31. TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship Jimmy & Jey Uso (c) vs. The Wyatt Family vs. Jack Swagger & Stardust vs. Dolph Ziggler & Kofi Kingston -This one seems weird, but there is a logic behind it. Jimmy & Jey were the Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania this year. Regardless of what happens between now and then, I think them heading into WrestleMania 31 as champs this year provides a sense of consistency. The Usos' cousin, The Rock, will be feuding with Bray Wyatt, so it would make sense to have these guys feud -- plus it is always gold in the ring. Jack Swagger & Stardust are thrown in because both are really great performers that I can't see being involved in anything bigger. Goldust is an older guy, so I can see him stepping out of the spotlight soon, even if he still sporadically makes appearances. Perhaps The Wyatt Family can take him out, giving Stardust a personal reason to want to go after them? Swagger can just want to be a champion, and can be the straight-laced normal guy to Stardust's freak. Dolph Ziggler would take every opportunity to amaze in this setting, and I think a tag team between him and Kofi Kingston would be a lot of fun. They have past rivalries from which to draw, and I can't see this Kofi/Big E/Woods thing lasting too much longer (some think it is already done). Even if they're only a "WrestleMania team," let them out to play in a crazy environment such as this. Gold Star Championship The Miz (c) vs. Sami Zayn -I made up a championship for this one, but it's really not necessary. It's just an idea I had for Night of Champions, where Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter can decide they want to take Rusev's Gold Star Award, which isn't sanctioned by the WWE, of course, but does become the WWE Gold Star Championship once Jack Swagger wins it with the Patriot Lock at Night of Champions. The title is similar to the FCW 15 Championship medal, and is defended in fifteen-minute matches where the guy to score the most falls wins the match and is therefore champion. The Miz ends up winning it from Swagger and then Sami Zayn becomes The Miz's challenger. The Miz rips into Zayn for looking like a dork, and he points out that Zayn will never be a movie star like him. Zayn is just Zayn's usual charming self. Maybe he can even speak in French to Maryse in a segment and infuriate Miz. That sort of stuff. Zayn completely surprises everybody and mops the floor with Miz in this match. He gets a fall very quickly with the Helluva Kick, and then manages to lock in a Koji Clutch, which forces Miz to tap-out to prevent injury. The Miz gets himself disqualified as a strategy to soften up Zayn, and he gets a pinfall out of it, but is then rolled up by Zayn who is now up three falls. The Miz continues his beat-down, but he can't force Zayn to submit to the Figure Four. The damage is done, but Zayn makes a comeback and locks in another Koji Clutch and gets another submission with the time looming and wins the match 5-1. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Everyone else on the roster participates, including Triple H -Got no clue who this match would come down to, but Bad News Barrett seems about as good as any pick to win it. Have it come down to him and either Sheamus or Big Show. Actually, BNB and Bo Dallas finishing the match would be a funny moment with some odd history behind it. Kickoff Match The Ascension vs. Los Matadores -This is a bit of a random match, but The Ascension will likely be up on the main roster, and I can't see them losing at their first WrestleMania. Los Matadores are a silly team, but a proper one that should probably focus on tag team aspirations instead of being in a Battle Royal. The Ascension can win and Matadores can make them look good. Vickie Guerrero Invitational All the Divas that can wrestle that aren't on the main show -Basically a way to get all the girls in front of the crowd. With Paige, Natalya, Emma and Naomi in there, hopefully some cool spots can be worked out. Maybe Sara Del Rey can get in there for one match? I'd love it if they went with Paige winning, but she'd probably still be a heel and you'd then have two heel victories on the pre-show. Maybe it'd be better to go with a surprise face victory? Charlotte, if she's a good girl, might be a good pick. Emma exists. Natalya would be feel-good, if meaningless. They could just give it to Brie Bella. |
really like the idea of Rock/Wyatt
|
<font color=goldenrod>Bryan vs. Brock would be utterly fantastic, but as great as Bryan is I really don't think WWE are going to try to make him "the guy" again with his health the way it is. Reports suggest that there is a lot of concern that he could re-injure himself and be out for ages due to the severity. I think he'll have a prominent role at WrestleMania 31 if healthy, but I don't know if WWE will give him the belt again in such a big moment.
I hate to sound like Bryan is being punished for getting hurt, as it's not his fault by any means, but it's a major risk to try and make him one of the top guys in the company and it's not one I think WWE is willing to take anymore. Neck injuries are no joke. You wouldn't have seen Kurt Angle main event WrestleMania 19 or possibly not wrestle on the card at all if WWE's health protocol back then was like it is now. Lesnar vs. Reigns seems to be the likely route if they want Lesnar to be up-ended at Mania. Here's hoping Reigns improves on the mic by then.</font> |
They could just do Ziggler/Bryan in a career vs career match. Piledrivers and chair shots only legal moves

I'm pretty sure Lesnar will be going into WrestleMania as champion and it will be a huge moment for some face taking the title from him. I have no fucking clue who I would put in that role at the moment. A rubber match with Cena after Lesnar destroys him at SummerSlam might be the best option by default. There's just no one who stands out as the future face of the company and that's the only other type of guy who should get that moment.
|

|
Because he just isn't the kind of guy who can take over as the face of the company or even a co-face of the company and that's the kind of guy they need for a moment as big as toppling the monster Lesnar.
I am actually a Daniel Bryan fan. But he wasn't a guy who should be depended on to take Cena's spot before his injury and he's even less so that guy now. He's great as a co-star of the show. Not THE star. Putting him in that spot against Lesnar would be like putting Ricky Steamboat in the main event of WrestleMania 3 against Andre the Giant. Steamboat was awesome. But that was a Hogan role and doing that would have been fucking silly. |

You have Cena now.
|
They're trying to build the next guy with Reigns but I just don't think he's got it. This wouldn't be in this issue if they didn't say "fuck the midcard" for years and those midcard guys were actually naturally gaining steady momentum over the span of a few years and ready to break out at a moment's notice. Now they're in a panic where they're just pushing guys to the moon quickly and crossing their fingers.

This problem would be solved if they recognized Johnny Curtis is the guy who can be the next megastar and as soon as he debuted they set forth a long plan to slowly build him up to the top. Just sayin'.
Also... Fucking Ryback. |
Quote:
Give midcard guys something constant and interesting to do, let them naturally gain momentum, and you can have a budding, organic star on your hands. He would win MITB any time. He could start a program with Cena any time (and the outcome wouldn't be so one-sided). I do think Reigns has "it" though, just needs to polish that mic work. |
Maybe it's subconscious because I know how dull he is on the mic but Reigns is lacking a certain intensity to me in the ring, too. He's got an interesting style for a guy his size but there's a "connection" missing when I watch him in the ring. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it is just the indefinable "it factor".
|
It was one of the things Ryback had. There was an energy with him. You could sense he was going to fucking murder someone and the crowd got behind him because of it. Reigns doesn't have that same energy. He's more of a "Well this should be a fine wrestling match" feel. Granted a big part of that is booking. I mean... Ryback doesn't have it anymore either. But he comes off as more laid back than beastly.
There's also a lack of heels that the crowd really WANTS to see get murdered which hampers an up and coming face. There's a lot of problems. |
If they want to recreate a 'murdering' face they need to just do it, not draw attention to it by pointing out the streak as soon as they hit 4 wins, just have it as a nondescript segment every week, let the guy start cutting promos about how he's going to destroy his opponent and then do it, let the fans catch onto it themselves.
|
That's why losing to Punk the way Ryback did was the best thing that could have happened to him. They got rid of the streak talk and he didn't look any weaker. Win/win.
|
I think Ryback would have been OK if not for that loss to Henry at Mania.

Also him turning heel on Cena was another issue. It could have been turned into a Warrior/Hogan deal. Warrior hit Hogan with a clothesline at the start of their rivalry. A face vs. face title feud could have worked. |

Unless you're looking forward to next year's KOTF, in which case... Good job. |
Here is what I would do with the World Title scene:
* Brock Lesnar wins the World Title at SummerSlam and successfully defends it against John Cena at Night of Champions in Cena's contractual rematch. * At Survivor Series, another face could get a title shot. I'm actually not too sure who I would go with here, but someone like Chris Jericho might be amazing at it. * Brock Lesnar misses TLC, but defends the title against Batista at the Royal Rumble. The Beast vs. The Animal. Batista doesn't need to be cheered. Heel vs. heel has worked at the Rumble before. More of that. Brock retains the title when he "breaks" Batista's arm with the Kimura Lock. * Daniel Bryan enters the Royal Rumble really early, and lasts right up until the end. Bryan, Cena and Bray Wyatt are like the last three. Wyatt tosses out Cena as a bit of redemption for losing their feud this year, and then Wyatt and Bryan finish the Rumble. Bryan and Wyatt end up both battling on the turnbuckle, exchanging headbutts or something. Bryan gets a vicious flurry in, and Wyatt laughs to himself just before Bryan delivers a final headbutt and knocks him to the floor. The bell rings and Bryan is standing on the second rope for "YES!" chants. * Triple H forces Daniel Bryan to defend his Royal Rumble title shot in the Elimination Chamber. Bryan retains, forcing whoever is last in there with him to tap-out. It could be Cena, it could be Wyatt, it could even be Rollins. Brock Lesnar, who wasn't scheduled to be at the show, attacks Bryan after the match and levels him with an F5. First blood to Brock. * At WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar work one of the best big man vs. little man matches you've ever seen (and probably one of the most believable), and Bryan eventually gets Bryan in either a YES! Lock, or even a new submission hold where he can stomp the fuck out of Brock's head. Anyway, Brock actually taps the title away. * Also at WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns defeats Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. * Extreme Rules has Brock do an extra date with the company, where Heyman says Brock is going to get his title back by turning Bryan into a corpse. Bryan says Brock has no restrictions on him, but he doesn't have any on him either. The result is the same: Brock is vanquished by Daniel Bryan, undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion. * Roman Reigns successfully defends the Money in the Bank title shot in a Ladder Match against Ambrose and Rollins. * Reigns announces that his title shot will be at Payback, and he wants Bryan to see him coming. Bryan manages to catch Reigns off a Spear in the YES! Lock. Reigns is forced to tap-out to the submission hold. Probably Reigns' best match yet. Rollins attacks Reigns after the match, because he is pissed that Reigns won his briefcase and blew it. * Reigns and Rollins are both part of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the PPV in June. Ambrose is there too. Reigns wins that match and secures another title shot with his first actual Money in the Bank Contract Ladder Match win. * Reigns says he will give Bryan warning. * Cesaro wins a King of the Ring tournament to earn a title shot against Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam (Cesaro is once again a Paul Heyman Guy and wants revenge for Brock). Reigns defeats Rollins to successfully defend his briefcase. Roman makes it a bit of a habit to defend the title shot and prove he deserves to be champion. * Bryan defeats Cesaro and then either Reigns declares himself the next challenger, or Reigns actually takes advantage of the shape Bryan is in and cashes in. It depends whether or not fans are willing to accept Reigns as a top babyface or whether he will need to earn his stripes more as a heel. |
You have everybody in pretty much the same positions/feuds/angles they are in right now in a years time. Would the audience go with that for 12 months? Can they drag Rollins/Ambrose out for that long and keep people interested?
|
I've probably be reading up on too much New Japan Pro Wrestling. Basically, I think with Brock Lesnar winning the WWE World Title, they may go towards a more puroresu/MMA route with the title, and only have it defended every now and then.
Ambrose would stop feuding with Seth Rollins directly for a few months. They wrestle at SummerSlam and then Triple H puts Ambrose into a match with Sheamus for Night of Champions -- basically getting Sheamus to do the dirty work of The Authority. There Triple H screws Ambrose and sets up a direct feud with him in time for Hell in a Cell. Then it's Survivor Series, where Ambrose and Rollins might find themselves on opposing teams and interact. Then it's TLC, and Ambrose might face someone else. The Rumble would mark Ambrose and Rollins getting into it again in time for a WrestleMania program. Roman Reigns would be in a program with Orton at SummerSlam, maybe move onto someone like Cesaro, then get mixed up in an anti-Authority match at Survivor Series, before the Rumble stuff brings him into the Ambrose/Rollins stuff. |
