Since there is a serial killer in the previous 3 seasons would it be safe to say there is a serial killer in season 4?

I'm guessing Twisty the Clown is the serial killer this season.

Very, very solid first episode

Some really interesting characters and darker tone than last year.

Michael Chiklis is straight up villainous.

Dandy and Twisty, total bromance going on.

Maybe its the voice but getting Bo Dallas vibes from the Dandy character.

I just watched the first two episodes. This shit is fucking awesome. I'll definitely be tuning in.

Episode 3 was good.

Ethel and Edward Mordrake stuff was engaging. Glad to see Emma Roberts, she is a very attractive lady.

I wish that episode was a bit longer, but I guess that means I just have to watch again next week.

jimmy's got heart, but dandy is obviously a fucking nutjob. i'd give him the edge.

Dandy is nuts and in pretty good shape, so Dandy.

I wanna say Jimmy since he's probably had to fight before plus I'm pretty sure he fights dirty ,and while Dandy is in good shape he's a pampered psychotic crybaby who I don't think can actually take a punch and seems to be more or less an ambush predator.

Jimmy by the way of the mandible claw.

Dandy is a bit loony but agree with Kira about him being a big whiner and probably wouldn't last in a brawl without some sort of sneak attack. Even when he killed that guy in the clown's home, all he did was whine a lot.

OK, that last episode's got me back into it. I wish they would have done what they were going to do with the tar dude, though. (Speaking vaguely for fear of spoilers)

My thoughts:

That was probably one of the best and certainly most emotional episodes of American Horror Story.

I was thinking Dandy was too nuts for his own good willing telling people hes a murder and delusional, boy does money talk.

Neil Patrick Harris on the next episode looks interesting.

That was a great episode, oddly enough with no Dandy to be found.

that was probably the most emotional episode of that show from any season. i am a sucker for pepper, though. even still, a great way to end things before the break.

also i had no idea that they said all seasons were connected back in October. really excited to see how that continues to play out moving forward.

Is it weird that I didn't realize that their names were Salty and Pepper until that episode?

Mad love for Pepper, though.

And the Ma Petite flashbacks got me all pissed off again.

season finale tonight

Finale was good tonight.

Dandy was easily the best character this season.

while i enjoyed the finale, it felt kind of underwhelming. the whole second half of the season felt underwhelming compared to the direction i thought it could/would take. it just felt like after edward mordrake came and did his thing initially, the show kind of started to coast (outside of the pepper episode). i didn't hate it, and it will definitely get a second viewing in marathon fashion, but i guess i just wanted more after the really promising start.

I wasn't upset about the kill em all scenario till Amazon Eve died I really liked her and thought she'd make it out alive overall I liked the ending ok. The idea that Elsa wouldn't pay for the things shes done because all the worlds a stage is interesting(though you could argue she paid by getting what she wanted and hating it before getting what she wanted but didn't know she wanted.

Jessica Lange is leaving after all.

I liked the finale. Dandy has been my favorite this year, alongside Twisty, Pepper, Mordrake and Desiree the last few episodes. I too was a bit surprised Elsa gets a happy ending and doesn't have to pay for her sins.

I wonder what happened to Dandy's personal cop?

they are really going to have to hit on all cylinders next season if jessica lange is gone. she was such a fantastic presence on that show.

Just watched this, did anyone else think that Stan the conman should have been the one to be killed in the water torture device instead of dandy?

I didn't think the writing of this season was good.

The writing/characters (outside of Dandy) were just ok. Stanley seems like he deserved a bigger death.

Flip side, current season is very good so far.

We don't even know if he died, they just cut off his arms and legs.

Writing elements that should have been changed:
Ladies want to string up and hang the Strong Man one day then are ok with him living there the next.
Precious escapes Dandys house, contacts the police, goes back in the house (why??????????) and is murdered. No one seems to question this.
Jimmy is framed for killing multiple woman, escapes jail when 2 cops are murdered, but 2 days after this is all forgotten because he moves back into the circus. He ends up getting married and has children with someone he didn't show much chemistry with. Lives a normal life despite being a fugitive.

Also I don't know if I missed something but how and why did Jimmy and Dandy go to the tupperware house around the same time?
