Better Call Saul

Walking Dead is good and all but I'm personally a lot more hyped up for the Better Call Saul premier than the continuation of TWD / Season 5

Lock Jaw 12-02-2014 04:04 AM

I'm hoping it turns out good, and doesn't come off too much as a desperate attempt to use Breaking Bad's popularity for more ratings/money.

road doggy dogg 02-04-2015 10:21 AM

Next week, folks. Who's pumped?

Lock Jaw 02-09-2015 12:11 AM

SPOILER: show
Ending was pretty TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT YEAH, but most of it was pretty "ehhh".

Breaking Bad had a "theme" "message" "whatever" right from the first episode. Not sure what kind of show this is other than "the search for more money".

dronepool 02-09-2015 02:35 AM

Love it.

Juan 02-09-2015 04:44 AM

Thought it was really good

Destor 02-09-2015 04:49 AM

Enjoyable. Sadly its air time conflicts with my schedule so I wont be watching anymore but the pilot was solid.

Innovator 02-09-2015 08:33 AM

It just felt good to have Saul and Mike back

is this seriously a thing that happens in 2015 still

Big Vic 02-09-2015 12:00 PM

Yeah I don't have a DVR either.

road doggy dogg 02-09-2015 12:03 PM

awful

RP 02-09-2015 01:10 PM

I thought it was horrible

Crimson 02-09-2015 02:31 PM

Kinda bland. But the ending gave me hope maybe things will pick up. I'll give it one more shot.

Tazz Dan 02-09-2015 03:38 PM

I enjoyed it. Slow build throughout, no different to how Breaking Bad was delivered to us to start with. My biggest fear with the show was that they'd make it too much like BB, but other than that feel of the show I mentioned, I think it stood out as its own. Really looking forward to the rest of the series.

RP 02-10-2015 12:06 AM

No its pretty bad. I'm disappointed.

dronepool 02-10-2015 12:11 AM

I switched from RAW to watch it, awesome.

Lock Jaw 02-10-2015 01:22 AM

What kind of disease is it that makes you unable to be around electronics or anything with a charge? Also, is Chuck supposed to be his dad, or what?

Anyways, the Tucco stuff was pretty sweet. Other than that, still not sure what kind of show this is going to be, of what its "message"/"theme" is other than making more $.

Yeah no dvr :-/

Big Vic 02-10-2015 01:19 PM

Is Saul really going to be able to talk Tucco down from doing anything Tucco wants to?

McLegend 02-10-2015 08:27 PM

That really was some good lawyering in the desert. That scene was Breaking Badesque.

I think Chuck is his brother, but that has not been stated. Also I think might be a paranoid schizophrenic or something along those lines. They haven't given a name for his disease, and I feel like Saul would have an easier time getting a buyout for a disease then he would for something that's psychosomatic.

Also really thought we were going to see Walt's house in the pilot when Saul was driving around on his phone in some neighborhood.

Tazz Dan 02-10-2015 11:08 PM

Two episodes in, and I'm still loving it!

OverTaker 02-10-2015 11:47 PM

Real solid first two episodes. :y: Biznatch! :D

Triple A 02-11-2015 03:51 AM

edited out the exclamation point from "Better Call Saul!" in the thread title

XL 02-11-2015 10:54 AM

This is on Netflix over here, new episode every Tuesday. Watched the first 2 episodes and was pretty pleased with it. It has a similar feel to BB.

Innovator 02-11-2015 11:08 AM

I can honestly watch an hour of Jimmy trying to get past Mike

rad dggy dg 02-13-2015 04:25 PM

Good stuff so far

Big Vic 02-17-2015 10:30 AM

fell asleep and missed the ep was it good?

Lock Jaw 02-17-2015 12:16 PM

Yeah, was good.

Tazz Dan 02-18-2015 05:59 PM

The Breaking Bad-esque cliffhangers are pissing me off haha. Nah, I'm really loving this show, this weeks episode was brilliant.

Lock Jaw 03-03-2015 01:24 AM

Ha ha at the toilet.

Can't wait for next week.

weather vane 03-03-2015 01:39 AM

Love this show

Jura 03-03-2015 03:53 PM

It's all good, man

dronepool 03-04-2015 01:56 AM

Mmm yummy

Tazz Dan 03-06-2015 08:11 PM

This is easily the best TV show going at the moment. Equal with Suits.

McLegend 03-09-2015 11:58 PM

That shit was deep.

Lock Jaw 03-10-2015 01:07 AM

Excellent episode

Tazz Dan 03-10-2015 09:15 PM

I concur. Also, I just wanna say, I don't feel Mike gets the credit he deserves in BB or this. Great character :y:

Lock Jaw 03-17-2015 01:22 AM

Betsy Kettleman be crazy

OverTaker 03-25-2015 12:28 AM

SO WTF CHUCK?

Jura 04-03-2015 04:10 AM

With the most recent episode I wonder if this is the beginning of Saul Goodman and the end of Jimmy McGill. On another note, what if they do another spin-off with Mike Ehrmantraut's character before he came to Albuquerque. With him already old and doing a prequel where he actually looks older is a problem but they could do an Arrow type thing where half the show is Mike's younger self in flashbacks.

Savio 04-04-2015 02:34 PM

Lost interest in this show when Saul was able to convince Tuco not to kill those 2 skaters. #ThatWouldn'tHappen

McLegend 04-04-2015 04:16 PM

Savior, that's one of the dumbest things you have ever done.

Savio 04-05-2015 11:03 PM

I probably would have kept watching if it wasn't on Mondays. Ugh Mondays.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-07-2015 06:37 PM

Bit underwhelming finale, but the season as a whole was great. Exceeded my expectations.

Requiem 04-07-2015 06:48 PM

Wait, that was the season finale?

Didn't even realize. Yeah, pretty underwhelming way to finish a season. I'm worried that this show just isn't going to be able to carry enough drama on its own without seeming like Breaking Bad. I really like it, but tbh, literally nothing major has really happened. Yeah, we're learning about Saul, and I like it, but I'm waiting for the hook. I'm waiting for the story that's going to carry this show through multiple seasons.

Lock Jaw 04-07-2015 07:21 PM

Solid episode, but lackluster season finale.

I think now that Saul has kinda of "snapped", become a "badass con machine" again, and is all "never again will I give up illegitimate money" it will be the driving force of the series going forward.

This season was kind of just getting a bunch of backstory and establishing things... I think next season (and on if it goes further) we will start really getting into Saul "breaking bad".

McLegend 04-07-2015 11:03 PM

What was the 1.6 million Saul was talking to Mike about?

When did that happen?

OverTaker 04-07-2015 11:57 PM

Happened about halfway through the season. Mike broke into one of Jimmy's clients' house and took the millions.

Can't wait for more from that cool motherfucking lawyer and bad ass motherfucking mike.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2015 06:40 AM

This show has been so much better than I ever hoped for, and I hoped for good things! Sure, I'll admit, it hasn't rushed into things, but neither did Breaking Bad..... And looked how good that show turned out!!!

I'm hoping the season finale turns Jimmy into the Saul Goodman "Suplex City" Bad-Ass Motherfucker that we're all waiting for :y:

Breaking Bad usually did the same thing. THey would have the penultimate episode be the "BIG" episode where everything happened, and then the last episode was usually sort of a lesser "reaction" episode. Instead of giving you cliff hangers they give you the reaction to the big change.

weather vane 04-13-2015 09:59 PM

❤️

weather vane 03-08-2016 05:32 PM

Anybody in on season 2? Pretty good last episode.

McLegend 03-08-2016 07:13 PM

I have them all DVRed... Might catch up on them tomorrow

Blue Demon 03-16-2016 12:31 PM

I've been keeping up with it, and it's been a great show so far, even if you haven't watched or are familiar with, Breaking Bad.

weather vane 03-16-2016 01:00 PM

Not sure how people aren't jumping all over this. Good show.

Triple A 03-18-2016 08:39 AM

Liking season 2 a lot more than season 1 so far (I also liked season 1)

Yeah, Season 1 set the tone really, and now they're really getting into the story.
SPOILER: show
It was hilarious that they had the bell ring when Hector entered the diner

Lock Jaw 04-12-2016 01:55 AM

Thought this season started up "slow", but business has really picked up. Finale next week, should be good.

weather vane 04-13-2016 01:47 AM

Loving this show.

Blue Demon 08-11-2018 10:03 AM

Season 4 started this passed Monday, really digging it still.

Lock Jaw 08-11-2018 12:11 PM

Had no idea it started.... wonder if my DVR automatically recorded it.

EDIT- It did

Ezra 08-11-2018 01:05 PM

I will most likely just wait and binge.

Destor 08-13-2018 10:56 AM

I dont have means to watch AMC. Last year I purchased the season via amazon and watched it as it aired via fire stick. This year im going to wait for netflix.

Jordan 08-14-2018 10:55 AM

Oh boy we are four deep in season four? Great, I'll start binging soon. I love this show, so good in season three especially.

Blue Demon 08-14-2018 04:12 PM

Last night was episode 2

OverTaker 08-19-2018 06:59 AM

I'm hooked still!

OverTaker 08-22-2018 08:08 PM

Nice seeing all these breaking bad peeps returning. We are are nearing the BB timeline.

Lets speculate what Walt and Jesse are doing this moment in BCS..go!

Ill go.

Poor Walter is on his knees doing rim jobs

And Jesse is making chili p meth.

Juan 08-23-2018 08:55 AM

Rim jobs?

OverTaker 08-23-2018 11:20 AM

Lol for his boss "eyebrows" at the car wash

OverTaker 08-24-2018 06:29 AM

Walt's not breaking bad yet. He breaking his back.

OverTaker 10-09-2018 08:11 PM

Hello?? I can't believe its the end of season 4 already!

Frank Drebin 10-09-2018 11:34 PM

Slippin Jimmy < 'sall good, man

OverTaker 10-10-2018 01:43 PM

You're Goodman right!

Seanny One Ball 05-10-2019 09:44 PM

Jimmy is the man. The 9th episode in season 3 is an amazing how-to guide for manipulating old ladies.

I love it.

Frank Drebin 05-10-2019 11:31 PM

I wanted to cry w/ Irene. So painful what Jimmy does to her.

Seanny One Ball 05-10-2019 11:40 PM

It is awful...
I find the "you have no friends" thang pretty merciless at that age

Season 4 starts well.

I'm so delighted for Michael Mckean to have been a part of this. He has elevated this series from spin-off to absolute necessity.
Giancarlo Esposito is also essential to this as a separate yet connected entity... I loved every single second of him in BB but I have been craving that backstory. I just need a bit more.

Lock Jaw 05-11-2019 12:28 AM

Never finished season 4 because of my broken set-top box..... had to leave a bunch of unwatched episodes on it when I got it replaced....

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 12:33 AM

Yep, that was the only way to see it.

Lock Jaw 05-11-2019 01:32 AM

Well, when it comes to Netflix I'll watch it....

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 11:00 AM

It is on Netflix you berk

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 11:57 AM

Gus Fring is the scariest mofo on TV.

He sounded like the devil when he caught Nacho.

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 12:03 PM

God Damn... I really love Nacho as an example of a conflicted character. He's like a Hispanic Mike, and Mike is the man.

Lock Jaw 05-11-2019 12:06 PM

Season 4 not in Canada yet I guess.

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 12:13 PM

Whaaaaaaaaat?!
Netflix is trippin dog because I'm watching it as we speak... in Scotland.

Scotland gets what Canada craves.

OverTaker 05-11-2019 07:02 PM

Yes I wonder what's gonna happen to Lalo, Nacho and Kim.

Seanny One Ball 05-11-2019 07:59 PM

The karaoke scene gave me goosebumps. I loved it.

OverTaker 05-11-2019 08:03 PM

Yeah I love Chuck but I thought he was an asshole sometimes. Who knows if that letter was really from him.
