That was pretty amazing. If they did a series where they explained all wrestling characters like this I'd be pretty into it. The Kane/Undertaker one would be great.

I missed most of the cameos. Kazarian, Daniels, Cabana, Morrison all went unnoticed to me.

I didn't watch at first because it looked "dumb", but it really is great.

Vince has tried to do away with the term wrestling his whole life and people complain about how bad it's gotten not focusing on the actual wrestling and it should still be about the wrestling. It was kinda cool at the start, by the end it was just a tad bit annoying. Not the worst thing I've watched by a long shot, but wasn't a masterpiece either.

I think they didn't do enough with Triple H and Daniel Bryan. If the point of it was to point out Triple H is Daniel Bryan (a B+ Player) there was little payout.

This feels like it could have been done as a blogpost essay but because the guy has a famous father (John Landis) so he can get famous people to be in his vid.

The first two lines are a perfect synopsis of the vid.

That last part? I didn't get that at all. I got the feeling of a guy who likes wrestling, still has after all these years, even though he KNOWS it "isn't real", and here's why he doesn't give a fuck and still watches, even though he gets looked at funny by non-fan casual masses.

On the surface, it sounds like he's shitting all over Hunter... but he started the video saying this was his favorite character. And why would you bother the effort in casting Circe Lannister simply to justify that GoT line at the start, or get former WCW champion David Arquette to ask "the stinging question", or even throw in a Shockmaster joke (which I'm still sad to say I had originally missed after x ammount of times watching this) if he hated wrestling or suddenly got smarten'd up yesterday?

He took what little kayfabe is left and strung that into beautiful summary of Hunter's WWE onscreen career.

And projects like this have a turnaround time, which is likely why the stuff with DB and HHH is so short... it likely had kinda just happened and throwing in other stuff like The Shield would have taken away from the story being about Triple H.

Seriously, I hope he does more in a similar style.

I don't think this is a work to over over analyzed. The message is on the surface.

The piss was being taken. Clearly someone that takes the time and effort to do something like this is a fan with knowledge of how "things work".

It's a very well made video that uses hot chicks to re-enact the story of Triple H's character from blue blood to now in more of a general entertainment setting without the wrestling. It also makes a lot of links from one part of his character to the next seem more thought out than they were and makes it seem like there was all an elaborate plan 20 years ago , which is kinda cool.

That little bit with Corporate Triple H holding up the "You're the Best" heart from HBK almost brought a tear to my eye. :'( I really wanna see one of those done for every major wrestler now. One on Undertaker would be astounding. Hell, one on Kane and trying to explain his ups and downs would be downright hysterical.

This was a pretty good take. I don't think it was supposed to be taken THAT seriously. It's a fan saying why he's a fan. Everybody has a different reason of why they are. It came off as a college project.

Look at it as visual/media art. You don't have to like it, but try to appreciate it.

Subtleties are abound, like the parody of the "Higher Brain Pattern/My Time" era HHH entrance (not the song with the champange popping) and the back of the jacket says "I'M THE BEST SO FUCK YOU!" only to be met with the chorus of boos and escalated jeering. It was basically a throwaway musical cue, but still got the point across.

Kane would be ASTRONOMICAL! Doesn't even need to cover Isaac Yankem, D.D.S. or anything other than his WWE lore as Kane.

Its great, its a real fan explaining why he loves wrestling and using the Triple H character to show how massive a story it is capable of telling.

Yeah, I think he was honestly just nerding out and having fun over how silly and fantastical wrestling can be if you just try and enjoy it.

It's a catch 22 Tho... We want to enjoy it, but we can't because it's not a good as we think it could be. It may be because we want to see something new, or perhaps we don't like the fact that the show is PG and consider WWE a sell out.

I think the majority of us would like to see better storylines and meaningful matches across the board.

I enjoyed it. I thought it did a great job of communicating why fans connect with 'wrestling'. The final argument at the end is one that all of us here make while defending this 'sport' or 'theatrical artistic combat' that we love.

He could have chosen any other character to make up the meat and potatoes of the video, but the core message, or flavour wouldn't change.

The basement-dwelling neckbeard smark in me wonders what various people in the industry think about it. For example, if i had to guess based on nothing (which is exactly what I am going to do), Hunter seems like he'd be upset about it on heresay, but then, after actually watching the vid, getting laugh out of it. Chyna, on the other hand, being cast as a somewhat effeminate man would likely be some kind of rage trigger in spite of just about everyone in the storyline being gender bent. Except Steph and Vince. Like, who thinks Shawn pole dancing was hilarious? Who thought the bit with Ric Flair barging in the hotel room chugging a bottle of Jack was disrespectful? Suckas gots ta know!*

It is much better than too many cooks. Which I found way too long and not that funny. This was the perfect length and really funny.

I enjoyed it and felt a spiritual connection with the narrator.

Too bad the IWC can't all get on the same page and start pushing for 1 random guy to get attention.

Which is a great reason why we can't get the WWE or TNA to be the promotions that they can be. The divas movement trended on Twitter for almost a week. WWE had to respond. Imagine what the IWC could do if we did the same thing. Instead, we only talk about guys we want pushed.

The diva thing showed me that if we just focus on the general aspect of story lines, character development, and quality matches as a whole IWC, the pushes of our favorite wrestlers should take care of itself.

Yeah, keeping their attention is the other key. Flashes in the pan won't always work.
