cheers darling. looks good, i guess. can't help but feel underwhelmed by graphics these days, always expect more. to say it was the worst game i ever played probably, ryse was also the best looking. this generation of consoles has been pretty shitty for me.

Oh totally, diminishing returns are happening and when you get a great looking game, you seem to get a short repetitive game like Ryse or The Order 1886. Shit just costs too much.

I'm not pre-ordering at all. Too many things that were even sure things like ports of Halo and Street Fighter have been bad. I have confidence it'll be great, but I don't know if it'll be great day 1. They quite often make buggy things anyway.

The lesson there is that porting is a nightmare, and they underestimate the time and effort it takes.

Bethesda games will always be rough, but with the PS4 having masses of RAM available compared to the PS3, we should see things handle a bit easier, I fucking hope.

Looks like we're heading for Boston this time around. Man alive I really hope they're gonna do this story New Vegas style and exploration Capital Wasteland style.

Now all I need to see at E3 is Mass Effect 4 and I'll be a happy camper.

I actually wanted a new elder scrolls game more than new fallout, due to skyrim just being a more interesting enviornment to the wastelands drab grey and browns.

But after that trailer, I'm really hyped. They've managed to add a lot more color and personality to the enviornment this time around.

I'd prefer a new elder scrolls one also. But it's nice to finically have a game to look forward to regardless.

He's been narrating since Fallout 1. There'd be more backlash than when Sutherland replace Hayter as "Snake", even though it makes sense to have a different guy voice Big Boss. Hell, all the "siblings" had different voices.

But changing Pearlman for any other reason than his death would just be dumb. Even then, there's enough work he's done to be able to cobble dialogue for a Fallout intro after he's no longer with us.

Love the callback to 1 with the tv pan out and the song starting off similar to "Maybe". That was enough to wet my panties.

The whole commotion over Big Boss makes no sense to me in the first place. He was voiced by a different guy at the end of MGS4, why wouldn't he be in MGS5 since he's older in this one? If anything people should be upset that he isn't voiced by Richard Doyle.

Any news if Erik Dellums will reprise his role as Three Dog? One of the best parts of Fsllout 3 was listening to him on the radio out in the D.C Wasteland.

He tweeted something months ago that said he was. Nothing official yet though. Hopefully he'll keep us updated bow wow wow.

The whole "dystopian future" angle has been done to death lately (especially in movies) but the Fallout series has always done it best imo so it will be grand.

A few rumors about the game were debunked recently by Kotaku. The biggest being the rumor related to the character creator being restricted to just male character options.

Also debunked the source by stating most of the correct "leaked" info originated with them and the person herself never working at Bethesda. The source had claimed she got fired by the company after accidentally leaking some stuff that Kotaku got a hold off but Kotaku said she was never the source for their leaks.

Apparently rumors are floating around that we might see it on October 23 2015. October 23 is a big date in Fallout lore since it's apparently the date the bombs dropped. Seen it mentioned multiple places so it's a possibility. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Announcing October 23rd would be BOMBS DROPPED.

Seriously, if I'm playing this after doing most of what I want to do on The Phantom Pain, it's gonna be one helluva year.

I hate when stuff launches in late October, since I'm inevitably away on holiday so miss out. :(

Probably not. They struggled with PS3/360 last time out as it was and the improvements to the engine with Skyrim made it even harder.

Outside of COD and sports games, last gen versions of anything in 2015 have sold like shit. Unless they can hire a cheap team to do a quick and easy port, it's actually losing money to make a last gen version right now.

Or unless the specs of old hardware hinders the game experience they have in mind.

It's being billed as the next evolution in open world exploration so nah

The PS3 had a split pool of RAM so I think they only had 256MB to work with for the previous games, then another 256mb for vram. Compared to 5gb workable on ps4. So that's between 10 or 20 times more to work with on the new systems. Fallout is exactly the game that's going to use as much as it can.

It would be easier to make for phones.

Enjoyed a few hours of Fallout 3 this weekend. Turned evil after starting the Paradise Falls slave collar mission. For example, I went to Tenpenny Tower to collar someone and it ended up pissing the whole hotel off, but I couldn't turn back and they were all uppity anyways. Saved this one captive from a Super Mutant, turned him around and V.A.T.'ed him up, sent him to hell.

Sounds like a quality Fallout session, honestly.

Can't wait for 4. I was going to cut down on game spending, but there are quite a few titles I want to pick up this year :(

In Oasis(up north with the tree people) I'm going to find a way to keep the tree alive or make him suffer. I always did the right thing, but I want to make this run count and do things I haven't done in the game. Then I'm going to do a full run through Vegas

Oh hey, both Metro titles have "free" demos that showcase at least 1/3 of the full game. Worth checking out if you want to shoot the shit out of shit with piss.

Is it a sandbox game or straight FPS rail?

FPS rail more or less, but it mixes in survival horror elements very well (limited ammo, resources, etc.).

Only played it for about 20 minutes before I got the Witcher itch again. I will revisit it though, I enjoyed what I did play.

If PC gaming is so amazing and futuristic and consoles are holding everything back, then why is it so hard to get a cheap graphics card?

I remember buying a Geforce GT430 for about £40 new in 2011. 4 years later they all seem to be the same price. For some reason they made ten billion 210s and 610s.

Fallout 3 comes with the XB1 version AND mods are on the XB1 version. Every mod on the PC version can be transferred.

There's a lot of mods that increase the needed spec of the game on PC though, so it's still the way to go. Not all mods will be compatible.
