Styles vs. Shibata and Tanahashi vs. Ibushi are apparently the only matches to really check out from that night. It seems pretty obvious that Nakamura or Okada will be in the finals from the Block B side. Block A is harder to call, as it could be Styles, Tanahashi or even Ibushi.

Shibata vs Ibushi was something special. Dunno if two wrestlers stiffing the shit out of each other will ever lose its appeal.

Shibata seems to be coming out of this thing as a bit of a star. Good for him. I kind of want Bad Luck Fale to have a Vader gimmick. Reports seem mixed as to how good the guy is though.

Thinking the PK is my favorite finisher right now

Goddammit, pissed that Shinsuke lost, thought it was his year for the last three straight G1's, and this one is doubly annoying just for the fact of 3 Okada Vs. Tanahashi Dome main events. I know Tanahashi is the big draw, but still.

Yeah thought that with all of the attention Nakamura has gathered, and that he hasn't won the World Title in a long time, they'd put him in the Dome against Okada at their big show.

I guess this is Gedo's plan though, the long build for Okada replacing Tanahashi as the guy.

Does NJPW still have the stip where the G1 winner has to defend his crown at least once before cashing in at Wrestle Kingdom?

Could have Nakamura win that match if NJPW suddenly decides against Mr. Air Guitar vs Rainmaker for Wrestling Kingdom next year.

Tana has to defend against who he lost to, so Naito and Fale.

Okada lost to Nakamura and Goto, and he has Tenryu's retirement match

Who do they even have besides Okada and Naito as far as future main eventers go?
