Book WWE and WCW without Hogan.

With WWE distancing themselves from Hogan and all I thought a thread rebooking history without Hogan might be fun.

What if Hogan said some rscist stuff before he became The Hulkster? Who would have been the big draw of the 80s, Who would have formed the nWo? Does wrestling become as big as it did without Hogan?

NormanSmiley 07-24-2015 11:17 PM

Vkm is a third generation promoter with vision. If not hogan they put another cartoonish guy in his place still attempt rock and wrestling and pay per view.

Wcw on the other hand if there is no hogan stays a dingy southern promotion and stays alive while not turning profit cause ted turner had a soft spot for the business.

Damian Rey 07-25-2015 12:17 AM

In terms of the NWO, you could've easily slotted Savage into Hogan's role. Obviously it wouldn't have carried the same weight, created the same buzz, etc. However, Savage was very much WWE guy and turning his back on wcw to join the outsiders makes sense.

Simple Fan 07-25-2015 12:33 AM

Well if Hogan wasn't there in the 80s, Randy probably becomes a bigger star with multiple World titles. Hogan held the title from 84 to 88 so guys like Warrior, Savage, Sgt.Slaughter, Andre could all have many more titles than now.

Emperor Smeat 07-25-2015 01:35 AM

Macho Man for the 80s and probably Sting for the nWo since he was the original guy picked as the mysterious 3rd member before Hogan got involved in the plans.

Possible wrestling could have been just as huge in the 80s with Macho or someone else as the mega star although all depends on if Vince could still pull off an equivalent "Hulkamania" type phenomenon. Even if he couldn't, still possible wrestling ends up as a huge thing but instead of the early 80s, it happens much later and with someone else (ex. Stone Cold in the 90s).

Simple Fan 07-25-2015 02:34 AM

Bob Backlund could have kept the title another 4 years and had a 9 year reign as WWF champion.

Blonde Moment 07-25-2015 03:46 AM

Wasn't Nick Bockwinkel interested in the WWe when Hogan first showed up?

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 04:00 AM

We may have gotten a series of macho vs perfect matches for the world title without the title hog in the way

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 04:00 AM

You know who really suffers if theres no hogan is brutus beefcake

And no one would have seen them because wrestling wouldn't have been the huge mainstream attraction "title hog" made it.

Shisen Kopf 07-25-2015 05:24 AM

Hollywood HOGan

Sixx 07-25-2015 05:30 AM

Hollywood Hoggin' the belt.

The CyNick 07-25-2015 12:01 PM

WWF would have likely just picked a new guy with a great physique. Maybe a guy like Lex Luger gets to WWF sooner. Warrior maybe gets a quicker push.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 02:00 PM

I swear to all fuck these nimrods like pettengill up there believe pro wrestling never existed before thunderlips. As if it wasn't an attraction for 100 fucking years before hogan. They are like talking to those stupid fucks who believe in creation and hogan plays jesus. They cant see evolution in front of them. In wwf fans estimation the nwa never existed because hogan didnt go there. If it was all hogan how come the awa didnt take over as the top outfit and dominate wrestling when they had him?

His receding hairline isnt a spoiler without a pic in the bandana first. You are not a real american

Damian Rey 07-25-2015 02:08 PM

It is likely the industry wouldn't have received the same impact with someone other than Hogan as the big face and heel of each company through two boom periods.

Sure they could've pushed someone else into his spot both times, however, Hogan was in that spot for a reason, and thinking that you could've put any Joe Schmoe in his position and still create the same results and impact is a bit daft.

He's the biggest draw in wrestling history. Responsible for the biggest boom in wrestling history which was responsible for PPV and wrestling becoming a major mainstream attraction as opposed to just being a popular niche. It didn't happen with AWA because Vince was smart enough to market him right and build the perfect storm.

Between this Hogan denial and your blatant racism/sexism, you're really making a name for yourself here in the wrong way.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 07:27 PM

So he is the draw he was because of vince. Thanks for proving my point numbnuts

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 07:29 PM

Between your revisionist history memory and your pedophilia, your name is quite tarnished

If you have evidence of my pedophilia, you are morally obligated to release that evidence now or consider yourself an accomplice. Please make your choice now.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 07:38 PM

I saw the cholororm and lollipops on your nightstand

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2015 07:50 PM

Those could be for anything.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 07:50 PM

Spoken like a true chester

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2015 07:54 PM

Well if you haven't gone to the police with this information, I'm going to have to assume you support the act of raping children. That's the only other option. I'm just gonna have to add that to your other deplorable traits.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 08:09 PM

Circumstantial evidence I cant do nothing with

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2015 08:18 PM

So you're saying your claims of my pedophilia wouldn't hold up in court.

Accusations from an internet warrior always hold up in court, son.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 08:24 PM

I could likely only prove conclusively that you don't know the first thing about wrestling . Punishable by death

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2015 08:26 PM

I believe I've won this case! Wooo! Hope you're not underage because I just made you my bitch!

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 08:43 PM

You lost the case dude, hogan was made by vince not vice versa, the perfect storm was vince hot hulk. Count the first goes to norman

Simple Fan 07-25-2015 08:51 PM

Read in an interview from 2013 that Scott Hall did and he said him and Nash tried to get Brett Hart to be the third man, and were telling him how chill WCW was compared to WWF but he wasn't interested. Hogan was supposedly not even there at the beginning of the match and Bascoph said Sting would be sent out if Hogan didn't make it.

1996 Bash at the Beach main event. Hogan wasn't there at the start of the show is what I should have said but Hall and Nash hadnt seen Hogan until he came out at the end.

Wait, Hall and Nash were fighting Sting and Savage so how could they send Sting out instead of Hogan?

We were so used to being in a shark tank in New York. Coming to Atlanta was like being in a country club. It was really tame in the locker room in WCW compared to New York. Bischoff was interested, he was offering him a pretty sweet deal but Bret wasn’t interested. We wanted it to be hulk, but Hulk had creative control in his contract so he didn’t have to do anything he didn’t want to do. We went to the ring, we hadn’t even met Hulk yet, I met him briefly at WrestleMania 9 but I didn’t know Hulk, we actually went to the ring in Daytona and Hogan wasn’t even there yet. He was on a jet, flying cross country from shooting a movie. Bischoff wanted it to be Hulk but before we went out, Bischoff told us 'If Hulk doesn't show, I’m gonna send out Sting.'"

Sixx 07-25-2015 09:12 PM

That makes no sense, but ok.

Sixx 07-25-2015 09:12 PM

omg omg scott hall posts hereeeeeeee

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2015 09:15 PM

Well to be fair, Scott Hall's memory may be a little fuzzy for reasons...

Sixx 07-25-2015 09:16 PM

Was thinking the same thing.

NormanSmiley 07-25-2015 09:31 PM

Not so much a booking standpoint ,but would it be safe to assume with no hogan there to rat jesse out to vince that the wrestlers would have gone union and changed the entire Business?

DaveWadding 07-25-2015 09:33 PM

WWE hires Flair in 1983, Flair is the 3rd man. done.

Simple Fan 07-25-2015 09:37 PM
