OK boys and girls. It's that time of year again.

Fall TV is just around the corner. This here is the thread where we discuss the upcoming fall shows that we're try out, keep watching, or just flat out give up. This also doubles as the scorecard where shows get cancelled. And we place bets on what gets cancelled first. :lol:


Not much has caught my attention in terms of new. Willing to give Blindspot and Minority Report a try. But other than that, it's the usual shows. NCIS, Blacklist, Criminal Minds, and Arrow.

Probably give Blindspot a try. Will also naturally be watching Supergirl, of course.

Don't really know of any other "new shows"....

Gonna check out Minority Report. Don't know what Blindspot is. Gonna check out Grandfathered, too. Big Josh Peck fan.

I'll keep on Gotham, Agents of shield, and The Goldbergs for sure. Possibly Black-ish, that ended up being pretty funny about halfway through the season.

Don't really know too much about Blindspot either... just saw a commercial about it the other day and it is from the Arrow/Flash dudes and stars the chick who played Sif from the Thor movies.... that is enough to get me to check it out... maybe...

Oh yeah, will also most definitely watch The Muppets...

Will also check out the Netflix release of Jessica Jones.

I also think that Fox is making a Lucifer tv show based on the comic book series. I never read the series, and Fox is just going to cancel it anyways, but I will probably check it out because I am a terrible person.

Just googled that... might have to check that out now... don't get that channel, though.

Not sure if there is anything else worth seeing.

While the show interests me, I have to give a "well, shit" that it means we're probably NOT getting a Lady Sif ep of SHIELD.

Speaking of SHIELD, anyone hear if we're getting more Agent Carter during winter break, or something else?

So far nothing new has caught my attention.

Jessica Jones, Blindspot, Ash look good. Anyone seen Sense8 yet? There's one new show that I'll be sure to watch and that's "Into The Badlands".

It has that whole post-apocalypse wasteland feel mixed with the 1800s southern plantantion slave Django stuff and finally you throw in a Journey to the West element.

Also, there's something I've noticed in the shows nowadays and I'm gonna call it the "Game of Thrones/The Walking Dead effect" in which almost any one of the main characters could be killed off. To be honest I don't like it in other shows. They use a plot device to be able to introduce new characters and it makes things fresh and different but some characters you've become attached to and don't want them gone.

I blame Lost.

Z Nation seemed laughable at first but it never took itself too seriously and became a decent show to watch. It's obviously no TWD but I'll be watching the second season.

Not really digging Bastard Executioner. Quite the challenge getting through the 2 hour pilot. I'll probably give it another chance, but this is looking like a bust for Kurt Sutter.

When does The Voice start? I am ready to help choose American's next big star.

Enjoyed the first episode of Blindspot....

Blindspot was cool. Will probably keep watching it. Even if it is a blatant copy & paste of The Blacklist.

Never watched The Blacklist, so I am ok with it.

Get to work, Lock Jaw. You can probably run through the first 2 seasons on Netflix before the season 3 starts up next Thursday.

My brother was watching it and said it was pretty cool so I decided to flip it over and see what it was about and cought a gay sex scene and fliped it.

Felt the same way about Z Nation but really like the show. Kinda fell in to the zombie shows a little late but I like them. I've seen all of Z Nation so far just don't feel like spending the time to watch what I haven't of The Walking Dead.

Sutter keeps casting his wife in everything.

You can bet your ass she'll be singing in whatever that new show is soon.

The woman in blinds pot reminded me of a mix of Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer. Liked the 1st episode but I don't know if it can keep going on the same level as the pilot.

Limitless on dvr..

Muppets was funny but I'm not sure I like the adult take on them.

Gonna try Minority Report tonight.

Scream Queens got my attention. Pretty funny.

The Player is decent but I have a feeling it's gonna be canceled either this season or next.

I love Fresh Off the Boat. Need to catch up on Minority Report and Quantico. Still haven't watched Blindspot.

I'm hooked on Quantico. It seems like anyone could be the bad guy.

How if any way does Hulu effect ratings? Do they get ratings if something is watched within a time frame?

If you're talking about Nielsen ratings then any internet related or DVR stuff do not affect those ratings. They choose certain homes and give them a device that tracks what they watch. They've tried to include DVR into it but some advertisers resisted but you can still see ratings with DVR info included.

Discovery cancels Mythbusters after 14 seasons.

I guess they've busted every myth out there.

I was reading they did like 2,950 experiments or something close to that number.


But the end was near when they got rid of the 3 assistants.

Also new episodes came out erratically.

I wanted a wrestling Mythbusters episode but I guess not happening

What would the myth be?

Sort of, but for the most part it was ended with a sense of closure. They closed off a bunch of plots they had going on, but opened up a whole new big one. The ending works as a series ending rather than just a season ending in some ways, but they left it open enough that they could carry on if they didn't get cancelled.

NBC cut The Player's episode order from 13 episodes down to 9.

Sullivan Stapleton ended up getting the better show out of the Strike Back crew. Sorry, Stonebridge :'(

CBS gives a full season to Limitless.

ABC cuts Blood & Oil's episodes to 10.

On today's episode of Mythbuster, is pro wrestling real?

Preacher trailer doesn't really "hook me"..... I never read the comics, but I know it is "supposed to be good", so I will probably check out the show in any case.....

Hate their choice for Tulip. Sooo miscast.

Cassidy looks pretty good. Needs his shades, though.

Enjoyed the Into the Badlands series premiere. I have added it to my series recordings.

I am considering removing Blindspot. Not a big fan of "cop shows". Thought the "twist" would make it good, but dunno... just not feeling it. Plus on last Monday's episode they would continually flash pictures of the victims every time they mentioned them and it was very annoying.

Rats. Thought Wicked City was decent.

HBO's The Leftovers gets renewed for a third and final season.

According to one of the co-stars, Mike & Molly got cancelled.

I guess McCarthy must be too famous for the show now and they couldn't afford her. Was going to say too big instead....

NBC cancels Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.

That show brought new meaning to excessive. Knew it was doomed.

The creator of Pretty Little Liars says season 7 will be it's last.

Syfy renews The Expanse for season 2.

Tv networks do if STD hasn't head of them they get the Axe. Only seen Agent X out of the group and it wasn't that good.

Prediction time

Bordertown will get canceled faster than the animated Napoleon Dynamite show (6 eps)

Season 7 of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles will be it's last.

I enjoyed Cooper Barrett. Bordertown was okay.

Sundance cancels Rectify.

Heard nothing but awesome things about it. Bit of a head scratcher as to why AMC would axe it.

NBC cancels Heroes Reborn.

I thought it was a miniseries.....

Kinda like a reboot. But you're right it was billed as a miniseries.

The door was left open if the ratings were good, which they weren't.

I gave "Superstore" from NBC a try last night and ended up watching all 5 available episodes on Hulu. I really liked it but it did have a fairly weak pilot...It got better/funnier. I hope it sticks around as I don't have any 30 minute comedies left since The Office ended.

It was boring to watch. So I'm not surprised

Didn't watch 10 Items Or Less so it's "new" to me and I love the idea because I fucking HATE Wal*Mart and love the "People of Wal*Mart" pix.

Watched the first episode of Lucifer on FOX.

Meh, wasn't impressed.

Just watched it.... thought it was ok.... has potential.... going to get canceled anyways, so whatever....

Did anyone else watch the 25 hour binge of Angie Tribeca on TBS? I didn't watch it live I DVRd the entire first season. I gotta say, I love it. It's so stupid it's funny...which is the point. What Naked Gun did to cop movies, Angie Tribeca does to the TV cop genre. It takes all the best and worst of shows like NCIS, Bones, Law & Order and makes them hilarious.

USA renews Colony for a second season.

After 7 seasons, CBS' The Good Wife will come to an end in May.

Been watching Grandfathered with Uncle Jessie and the fat kid from Drake n Josh. Honestly did not like it much at first but much like the main character, over time, he kinda charms ya. It's not a bad show and I'd kinda like to see where it goes if it sticks around.

CBS cancels Angel from Hell after 5 episodes.

A&E cancels Unforgettable.

2nd time it's happened now. Unless one of the streaming outfits picks it up, it'll probably be gone for good.
