A Quick job out to Roman Reigns!?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! The Worst!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damian Rey 11-04-2015 09:21 PM

Hopefully not true. However, if it leads to a double turn at Survivor Series, and Reigns and the Authority take out Rollins and use his knee as the write off, a surprise return down the line could do him some good.

Hopefully he's not hurt and they do the double turn screw job anyway.

Seems like the perfect time of year to bring back Nash to take out yet another vanilla midget and make wrestling entertaining again.

#BROKEN Hasney 11-05-2015 06:43 AM

According to PWInsider.com, a WWE source noted backstage talk at the live event is that Rollins tweaked his knee, and while the severity of the injury is still unknown it appeared to be a normal, in-ring accident which will likely require no more than Rollins taping up his knee tonight.

Just received a notification from WWE's app that a tournament will determine a new champion at Survivor Series.

Well damn.... WWE.com saying he will be out for six to nine months, so he won't even get to be around for Mania. Wasn't a huge fan of his run, but sucks big time that it won't get to "pay off" properly....

Lock Jaw 11-05-2015 03:57 PM

If Bray Wyatt wasn't going to be fighting in some sort of team match vs. Undertaker/Kane/?? I would say that they should put the belt on him (via him beating Roman Reigns clean in the finals, to show that his new powers have made him stronger)

Roman Reigns prob gonna walk out Survivor Series as the champ now....

Sepholio 11-05-2015 03:59 PM

Tournament for the title seems wrong. Reigns just earned his title shot, shouldn't he automatically have a title match at SS with the tournament being held beforehand to see who he faces?

Innovator 11-05-2015 03:59 PM

DEADLY GAME 2: ELECTRIC BUGALOO

Lock Jaw 11-05-2015 03:59 PM

Maybe Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose in the finals of the Deadly Games tournament, and Roman Reigns wins with the help of Triple H and he becomes the Corporate Champ....

GD 11-05-2015 04:01 PM

He's baaaaaaaaaaack!

http://i.wwe9.com/f/styles/superstar...ric_full3b.png

Sepholio 11-05-2015 04:03 PM

And for anyone thinking this automatically makes Reigns a shoo-in.....well, there is a certain BEAST INCARNATE who might have something to say about that considering he has nothing lined up at the moment.

Evil Vito 11-05-2015 04:03 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Well...I guess this will make it easier to turn Rollins face when he's ready to return. Just have the guy with the belt at that time be the new "Corporate Champ".</font>

Lock Jaw 11-05-2015 04:08 PM

Time to panic and bring back CHRISTIAN to give him the belt! Only logical move!

Sepholio 11-05-2015 04:10 PM

If he legit tore his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus I think 6-9 months is hoping against hope. Most professional athletes can take up to a year to recover from JUST the ACL, let alone all 3.

slik 11-05-2015 04:13 PM

Please God no to a Roman Reigns vs Sheamus title feud...or a Roman Reigns vs Del Rio title feud....just no.

Sixx 11-05-2015 04:14 PM

And then Lesnar and Heyman appear on the ramp laughing at him.

Maluco 11-05-2015 04:19 PM

Deadly Games replay would be awesome, with it looking like The Authority were backing someone the whole time only to give up when Ambrose and Reigns get to the finals. Show them dejected backstage etc...

Do the turn and let's Reigns play off always having been the chosen one and how "anyone but him" drove him crazy enough to sell out and go with what his destiny always was.

You have a feud with Ambrose, Cena and then Lesnar for Mania...

Evil Vito 11-05-2015 04:19 PM

<font color=goldenrod>As corny as it may seem...Sheamus not even being in the tournament but cashing in at the end of Survivor Series to win the belt might actually be pretty interesting, especially since the fact that he's "buddy buddy" with HHH in real life is well known. It would blur the lines of reality a bit.

Even if it ends up boring and a flop they could take the belt off of Sheamus by the Rumble and set things up however they want for Mania.</fint>

Anybody Thrilla 11-05-2015 04:29 PM

Absolutely terrible news. I was loving Rollins as champ, and I think his reign still had a lot more steam.

Tournaments are kinda fun, though.

Heisenberg 11-05-2015 04:30 PM

Rollins getting stripped is good for his career in the long run though. It's a gimmick he can ride upon return. Face or Heel as well. Everyone knows he can go in the ring, it's all about timing. Hope he gets to rest up and enjoy life a little bit before hitting the road again

Anybody Thrilla 11-05-2015 04:32 PM

I can just picture Sheamus on the Raw after Survivor Series standing there with the title, and he will without question say something like "WHO LOOKS STUPID NOW???"

Nicky Fives 11-05-2015 04:33 PM

A little short notice to get the 64-man tournament I have been clamouring for for years..... Reigns seems like the odds on favourite, but this is an easy way to make a new star *coughs Ambrose *coughs Cesaro

RiX1024 11-05-2015 04:33 PM

Gutted, best heel champ in a while. I wonder who'll win the tourney in Survivor Series? hope not Cena

Wishbone 11-05-2015 04:36 PM

Shiiiiiit... Welp, there went the Shield 3-way at 'Mania. Guess we all better get ready for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns/Sheamus. Only good thing that can come from this is that maybe we'll see Bray get pushed as a legit threat again to fill the void of top heel going forward, or a Roman heel turn. Roman heel turn could be good.

Sixty fucking four wrestlers will enter the tourny..... one will be the true survivor at survivor series.

Sepholio 11-05-2015 04:58 PM

Cena, Reigns, Ambrose, Cesaro, Ziggler, Ryback, Lesnar and Big E

Cena/Reigns and Ambrose/Lesnar for the semis.

Lesnar/Reigns final.

XL 11-05-2015 04:59 PM

Survivor Series just got 1000% more interesting.

They could do qualifying/preliminary rounds over the next few weeks, we'd have matches with meaning and they'd be able to feature a few more guys (maybe in a meaningful way) per week, and spin off the happenings in the tournament into new storylines.

Anybody Thrilla 11-05-2015 04:59 PM

Cena hasn't been on TV since Hell in a Cell. What's he up to?

XL 11-05-2015 04:59 PM

Except they'll probablly make it lame like KOTR and only have the semis and final at the PPV.

Pretty much. At this point, I'll only watch again if they have a consistent run of interesting sounding shows. Kinda skipped through Summerslam and that's the only wrestling I've watched since the Raw after Mania.

Oh, and I watched New Day clips.

Simple Fan 11-05-2015 05:34 PM

This could really be used to push Bray. I'd hate to say it but why not have Bray beat Reigns with the souls of Taker and Kane and continue that feud. Anyone buy Roman, also could see Kevin Owens stepping in as the Authorities favorite now and somehow winning the title.

Corporate CockSnogger 11-05-2015 05:43 PM

Just saw this on Twitter. Survivor Series 98 got me into wrestling and there's never been a better ppv. I may watch it if they have at least 8 guys in the tournament during the ppv

Corporate CockSnogger 11-05-2015 05:47 PM

It also seems to indicate that these vanilla midgets can't be relied on. They all seem too fragile.

Shadrick 11-05-2015 05:50 PM

And this PPV is in Atlanta. I'll be in attendance.

Jazzy Foot 11-05-2015 05:51 PM

What so if there's going to be a tournament bring back Lesnar, Cena, Taker and Sting from their injuries/hiatuses?

Indeed if the former two aren't injured, no way they can have any sort of tournament to crown at WHC and not include those two.

slik 11-05-2015 05:52 PM

WWE Champion The Big Show

Jazzy Foot 11-05-2015 05:53 PM

Put it on Undertaker. What better way to mark his 25th anniversary in WWE than by winning the belt. Stranger things have happened.

Jazzy Foot 11-05-2015 05:53 PM

Will they also be stripping the Divas?

Time for a good old fashioned naked oil wrestling tournament.

I was thinking and Deadly Games is a tournament full of stories crossing over between everyone and expert writing.

This is likely to be I WANT DAT BELT and shitty characters AKA not Survivor Series 98. Will watch if Shane turns up in a ref shirt and flips the bird.

Sheamus does make the most sense as Rollins' replacement for the Authority's hand-pick star. If done correctly could have MitB 2011 type vibes where Vince was willing to do anything to keep the belt on his side. Also the best way to get Rollins to turn face if he gets ditched like Orton was.

Still was a bad idea to make Sheamus the MitB winner in the first place though.

If and when Sheamus cashes in I think we will see a rare "match following a match" yep despite the clear exhaustion it causes the winner of the previous match and Sheamus failing to claim the belt.

His current run/character just doesn't seem to be appealing.

#1-norm-fan 11-05-2015 06:06 PM

Call me crazy, but I don't think Reigns is gonna be the one to win the tournament.

#1-norm-fan 11-05-2015 06:07 PM

If he is, having him go corporate is probably the way to go though.

Simple Fan 11-05-2015 06:09 PM

Why can't Sheamus just cash in now?

Jazzy Foot 11-05-2015 06:12 PM

If he's injury free I see let this be the chance to give Sting his WWE title run....minimal work to win the belt and keeps it for a short while.

Yes everyone's saying it's silly to give a 56/57 year old dude the belt but (assuming he recovers from injury) I can't imagine him having jobbed twice including once at WM without being offered something big in return. Don't want Sting's last mark on wrestling to be a whimper although if the injury is too serious that's how it will have to be.

Undertaker is another possibility maybe Lesnar v Taker 4 oh how tedious, but merely for the emotional aspect of it being the 25th anniversary of his debut.

Lesnar of course. Cena if he's back getting his record title.

I'm still unconvinced about Reigns as a champion, I'd prefer Ambrose.

Because Vacant is unbeatable. That's why they always have to just end up taking the title off of him and having other guys fight for it.

The CyNick 11-05-2015 06:15 PM

Its interesting because they could do the same booking as 98 Survivor Series with Roman.

Cant see them doing anything more than an 8 man tournament on the show, which would be fine.

Have a bunch of qualifying matches over the next two weeks on RAW. Reigns shouldnt have to qualify.

Nice to see he's gone back to his roots. That whole Abeyance shit was never over.

Maluco 11-05-2015 07:21 PM

This will suck if it is only semis at the PPV. They have a chance here to invest in 8 characters or a few stories and make them really interesting.

8 should be Roman, Ambrose, Owens, Ryback, Big Show, Kane, Del Rio, Ziggler

Have Kane and Big Show in there to highlight authority shenanigans and blur lines. Kane having to guarantee an authority win to get his job back. Have Del Rio or possibly even Ziggler caught talking to HHH or Steph during the night.

Have tension between Roman and Reigns. Owens making a great showing. Have Sheamus beaten in a qualifier by Reigns and have him sulking about in the background.

If Lesnar is in, ditch Big Show and him being in would really make things interesting.

If they do this right, it could be the biggest event of the year. It should have a feel like anything could happen on the night.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-05-2015 07:22 PM

Deadly Games 2 set for Survivor Series.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-05-2015 07:24 PM

Is this the first time Vacant is both Florida Heavyweight and WWE World Heavyweight Champions?

Maluco 11-05-2015 07:25 PM

Can you imagine the pop if the authority screwed Lesnar in the final to put over Reigns and Lesnar only reappeared in the Rumble as number 30?

Maluco 11-05-2015 07:36 PM

Something that would be original, albeit a bit strange would be the Authority getting Sheamus through the tournament without using the case.

Easy to set him up as a massive heel and an obstacle if you basically have to beat him twice to make sure he doesn't cash in straight after a loss

Rammsteinmad 11-05-2015 07:48 PM

There goes my hopes for a WWE title triple threat match between Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns.

If its an 8 man tournament I could see it being:

Roman Reigns #1 contender
Sheamus Money in the Bank holder
King Barrett King of the Ring
Kevin Owens IC Champ
Alberto Del Rio US Champ
Dean Ambrose
Cesaro
Bray Wyatt

Could have qualifiers for the 3 spots not guaranteed.

Sixx 11-05-2015 08:11 PM

Give it to Rusev. When was the last time we had a barefoot champ?

Lock Jaw 11-05-2015 08:13 PM

He ain't barefoot anymore

Sixx 11-05-2015 08:17 PM

Whaaa? Really?

Don't give it to him then.

Nicky Fives 11-05-2015 08:37 PM

Cesaro needs to finish Top 4 for sure, and give him an upset win over someone like Randy Orton in the quarters.... So easy to make stars in a tournament if done correctly....

KIRA 11-05-2015 08:39 PM

Dean Ambrose its time to turn on your brother and become the best fucking evil heel this company has seen in years.

Feel bad for Seth though suffering the unhappy triad.

Damian Rey 11-05-2015 08:56 PM

They can do a Shield triple threat at Summer Slam. If Reigns is still champ by then, you could have Ambrose win MITB, with Rollins cashing in his rematch the same night. After getting the shaft, Rollins takes a chair to Roman, with Dean coming in to pick up the pieces.

Reigns cashes in his rematch and Rollins gets another crack come Summer Slam. Could even do a "Road To Summer Slam" follow up leading in.

This is assuming Reigns and Rollins flip flop.

As for the tourney, having Reigns go over Ambrose in the main event, with the Authority siding with Roman, would be brilliant. Builds an instant feud into the next year, and perhaps instead of Rollins, Ambrose gets the Triple H match at Mania.

So much bad news for WWE this year: Piper's and Dusty's passing, Hogan 'N' word "scandal", Snuka probably going on trial for murder, Cena leaves temporarily, Rusev, Orton, Rollins currently all injured, plus other injuries I think I'm missing.

2016 and a chance at a fresh start can't come soon enough. I guess the questions are - Do you bring back Cena way early for Survivor Series? Do you risk calling up 1 or 2 NXT guys? I wouldn't want to be in Vince, HHH or Steph's shoes.

The Destroyer 11-05-2015 09:20 PM

They'll probably have to dip into the emergency Brock fund.

Damian Rey 11-05-2015 09:21 PM

I'd save Brock for the Rumble. It sucks, but Rollins getting hurt opens up a chance for new guys in the main event scene.

Ultra Mantis 11-05-2015 09:22 PM

Now's their chance to fix things by immediately pushing Johnny Curtis to the moon.

Damian Rey 11-05-2015 09:26 PM

Can you imagine Curtis running out of nowhere, beating down Triple H, and cutting a promo denouncing the fandango gimmick and blaming the Authority for not giving the man Johnny Curtis a legitimate opportunity? Yes please.

Innovator 11-05-2015 09:37 PM

They should really pull the trigger and put it on Shinsuke Nakamura

What Would Kevin Do? 11-05-2015 09:46 PM

They should really play this off as Rollins being "jumped."

And then just have a throwaway line of Kevin Owens telling HHH "Your champ jeopardized my career and my family with his recklessness last week... Heh, I guess he got his."

What Would Kevin Do? 11-05-2015 09:47 PM

Seriously though, doesn't this make Bray Wyatt and Kevin Owens basically the top hees right now?
